Oh boy, am I in deep doo-doo! :D I had to run to the store to pick up some salad fixin's for lunch and a couple more items I had run out of over the past week. Skinny Cow bars was one of those things. However, I did not anticipate looking into the freezer and seeing new Cookies and Cream Truffle Bars!!! :fr: CnC is my favorite type of ice cream. While I know that I can have enough self-restraint not to eat more than one bar in a day, I don't know that I have enough to not eat a bar if I'm not hungry. I know I wouldn't eat one if I didn't have the calories but I am going to make my best effort to not indulge if my tummy isn't rumbling. :dust:

Thank you PHAT! Totally agree, anything that will help! If the next step for me is bungee cords and padlocks, so be it! :D

He drug me over to the fridge and showed me the "super healthy" turkey brats that he bought just for me. I looked at them and, instead of pointing out that they had just as many calories as regular brats, a RIDICULOUS amount of sodium, AND that they were filled with pepperjack cheese... I just kissed him hard and told him he was so damn wonderful. What else? ;)

That sounds just perfect and so thoughtful. I must say, I'm super jealous.

Hi everyone.

So I have been hiding because I have been off plan for the last few days. No good reason, I just felt like it. Not good enough. I am back on plan now, did well yesterday, and am doing pretty well so far today too.

Congrats to everyone on their losses, and keep up the good work everyone. Today was supposed to be my weigh in day, but I was already eating breakfast when I remembered, so I will have to do it tomorrow morning instead.

NorthernExposure 04-11-2011 05:57 PM

JD: I would seriously guess your weight gain is just water from TOM/exercise (especially if you haven't exercised in a while.) I know it's frustrating, but try not to sweat it!

Fit: congrats!!! Feels so good to bust into a new "decade", doesen't it?

Phat: hooray for a new week! I definitely needed a fresh start.

Dorian: awww...what a sweetheart :)

Manders: I discovered the cookies and cream skinny cow bars a few weeks ago. They have 10 more calories than the other bars, but OMG... FORGETABOUTIT...those things are the best!

Everyone I missed: it's a new week! For those of us who have struggled lately (myself included), let's get back on track and DO THIS!!

Well I finally had a weigh in under 150 on an official weigh in day! Today I weighed in at 149.6!! It was after a workout and a good sweat, but I've been looking at the same number for weeks now, so I'm counting it! I need the mental boost of changing my silly ticker  Sooo, 2lb more to go in the next two weeks to make my Easter goal! I have been working really had the past few weeks, so I'm hoping a woosh has been saving itself up for next Monday :crossed:! Bonus - Now that I'm officially in the 140's, I get to wear my new perfume tomorrow, yayyy! :D

Fit4Lyfe - :carrot::carrot: Woo woo! That is excellent, well done! :)

P H A T - I love reading your posts, they're so encouraging :goodvibes Great job on the inches and I hope that tricky TOM is a breeze for you this month!

Hope everyone is having a really good week so far, rounding the home stretch for those goals, let's get 'em!!
:cheer2:

I was a little disappointed with the extra 10 calories but I'm guessing they'll be worth it! :D

manders- Deep doo doo, I love it! So funny! I would love to switch to P.B 2, hubby is so picky i don't know if he'd switch. I still want to try it though!

Busy day, grabbed more fruit to eat for lunch than i should have, I went 300 over my limit, 1725 total. I just can't get out of this bad habit of going over my calories, yesterday was perfect, what happened today? Stress happened!!

Rode the bike for 20min, then had to get ready to leave for an appt. Ate clean today and no P.B for 2 days! Gained weight from that P.B two days ago, a total of 3lbs. Hopefully I will see a loss tomorrow.

k15g15 04-11-2011 10:49 PM

So glad that so many are off to a great week.

I weighed today and I am still the same :( I know that it could be worse and a gain, but still am grouchy...

I hope I am not at a stalling point, but maybe I need to plan on what to do next which Northern, Manders, and Jiggle are always so good at. My hat is off to you ladies!

Have a good night ladies!

OhMyDogs 04-12-2011 09:04 AM

Well I was supposed to weigh in yesterday, but forgot until I had already had most of my breakfast so I weighed in this morning. 1.5lb loss, which I can't complain about, especially after 3 days of eating whatever I wanted! I will do better this upcoming week!

Hope everyone's doing well this morning.

Dorian5 04-12-2011 09:36 AM

manders01 and northernexposure - I have the chocolate truffle bars, but now it looks like I'm gonna have to pick up these cookies and cream ones.

missjessica CONGRATS! You slide that ticker down, you earned it! I used perfume as a motivator too when I was got down to 138lbs! It was Playboy perfume, because maybe if I smell like a playmate it will trick people into thinking I look like one... or something.

fruitlady I commend you for eating fruit because of stress! I eat fried chicken and pizza hut because of stress! I think you're doing wonderfully, and congrats on refraining from the PB!

k15g15 Maybe you're in for a drop soon? Don't get discouraged! It will pay off! Maybe upping the calories for a bit and then dropping back down would help?

ohmydogs CONGRATS! 1.5lbs is awesome! Keep it up! :D

--

After 2 weeks of eating great one day and awful the next and seeing barely any loss, I got my a$$ in gear this week! I weighed in at 131.4 this morning!! YES! Finally! This is exactly what I needed! Sooo close to being 130!

I don't know what's going to happen when I hit 129lbs, I might just cry.

NorthernExposure 04-12-2011 10:20 AM

Jessica: Good for you! I hear you on moving the ticker down!! I try not to "round down" when I shouldn't, but when I get to 179.9, you bet your hat I'm claiming 179 on my ticker! (I don't care if it's really more like 2 lbs before I can claim 178. I just want the 180's out of my life!)

k15: I swear there are invisible walls at each decade "checpoint"...195, then 190, then 185, etc. You'll make it though!

Dogs: congrats on the 1.5!!!

As for me: I am off to a good start this week. Right on point with 1500 cals yesterday and did my 2 mile WATP video. Stay strong, ladies!!

Lori259 04-12-2011 10:36 AM

manders01 04-12-2011 10:55 AM

Was very relieved to weigh myself at the gym last night and "only" be at 175.5. I say only because last Thursday or Friday, because of the binging fat, binging water retention and TOM water retention, I was at 182!!! :yikes: When I got on the scale, I was just praying I would be in the 170's (or lower :D). Was very thankful to be. Now I have somewhere to start.

Stayed away from the Truffle bar last night! :cb: But mainly because I had already given myself permission to have one this evening. ;)

Today is going to be an interesting experiment in moving my lunch back. I have to run errands after making deliveries today that will take a couple of hours. So I know an orange will not tide me over like it did for the 90 minutes between snack and lunch yesterday. So I went with one of the lowest calorie breakfasts I eat (oatmeal and blueberries) and will basically have breakfast again later (bagel thin with whipped cream cheese and an orange). I'm hoping it works!

Aiming for 1556 calories today with cardio that will burn approximately 507 calories for a net today of 1049. I'm not quite getting up to my 1200 net goal but right now, I don't want to add calories or decrease exercise. If I feel hungry, I'll add more calories I guess. Just want to see how well this works for a bit.

It can't hurt to try. IMO, the price and shipping isn't enough that if I had tried and didn't like it, I wouldn't be overly stressed about losing that amount of money. And I'm a bit of a stickler these days when it comes to $$$.

Sorry about the calorie overage but at least it was with fruit. Imagine how much worse it could have been! I know it's probably been a struggle to stay off the PB (LOL, it's like a drug :D) but you're doin' great!

I have only had the chocolate up until now. They were so good, even though the white chocolate mint sounds great too, I'm so hooked on the chocolate I couldn't bring myself to try them. :D And congratulations on the loss!!! :cb:

Fit4Lyfe 04-12-2011 12:11 PM

Good morning people!!! I weighed in at 239.4, so I'm close to my second Easter Goal, so I guess I'll be making another. I've also added some light ab training in the mornings, because my lower tummy is my real problem area, so I need to work on it big time...okay, that's it, off to the stairs!!! Have a good Tuesday!!! To all of those who started off the week with a bang :carrot:
And to all of those who aren't having a good week, it's only Tuesday, there are 4 more days!!!

P H A T 04-12-2011 12:47 PM

Good Morning, butterflies.. :) lol

today is good. the sun is finally out & even though my basement flooded im not gonna let that get me down! I feel energized, & hopefully I can leave work early today & get a little exercise in.. I might go outside walking since it's such a lovely day...

jdonato 04-12-2011 01:13 PM

So I weighed myself this morning and I gained another .8lbs. This bites! I was 4lbs down and now i'm only 1.2...eff this noise! Don't want to talk about it, i'm just gonna keep to my CC and doing what I can. Today so far i'm good been right OP so we will see for tomorrow. Tomorrow is going to be a mess though because it's my Dart night, and our last game, which means beer and bar good :( grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyway:

manders01: My softball team is the same girls I play darts with, so we are all a nice bunch :) I hope you find a team. Congrats on being in the 170's at the gym that's awesome! And I understand about the skinny cow bars, it's ok to have that if you need something sweet because there are worse choices out there. If for some reason you feel you really need something sweet and your body need the sugar, try carrots, they are high in sugar count and will spike that up very quick to help. Or I try blue berries, though I just need something bad sometimes. Good luck!

Fit4Lyfe: I hope you get to make a new goal, you are really rocking this challenge! :carrot:

Ekicna: Im' right there with you, keep up the good work and you will see a loss very soon :)

P H A T: Thanks for the hugs :) And I hope you are right. Congrats on the inches loss, wow that's huge! Sorry about your basement..look at it this way, you will burn calories if you have to clean it up! Hope the sun keeps shinning for you :)

jigglefree: how do you like the Kettle bell? and what do you do for working out with it..video, exercises you read, trainer?

OhMyDogs: Glad youre back on plan, I've been having one of those weeks too...trying very hard to keep OP. Keep it up!

Lori: Glad you like your daughter's bf, and i can only imagine running that many kids around lol. Hope you have a great day!

NorthernExposure: Thanks I hope you are right, my TOM is in 3 days :( And I would count that 179.9 as 179 so good job!

Dorian5: you will do it! you will make it to 130 and to 129. I have all the faith in you in the world! I know what you mean because i'm in the same boat, I want to see the 130's so bad, and then the 120's..i miss it :(

k15g15: keep it up, you will see a loss soon :)

fruitlady: i've been going over a little from stress, but it's less then my daily intake needed to keep my weight so i dunno why i've been gaining. I think it's a very stressful time of year and that maybe affecting all of us. good luck today :)

if there is anyone I missed I'm sorry, I'l check back on later. I hope you all have a wonderful day :)

gordis in paris 04-12-2011 01:20 PM

Hello to all,

I'm in too... thinking about my goal

Missjessica 04-12-2011 02:12 PM

My motivation for the rest of the week : About the non-moving scale "eff this noise!" and I will get "my a$$ in gear this week!" Thanks ladies

jdonato - "i'm just gonna keep to my CC and doing what I can" Exactly! Get 'em girl!

P H A T - Yuck! So sorry about you basement, extra glad the sun is out for you!

Fit4Lyfe - Great job! What's the new goal?

NorthernExposure - Thanks :) I usually let it really stick before I move it, but not this time! Now that I've seen that number on the scale, I'm refreshed into thinking I might actually get to my goal :) You're really close yourself, good luck this week!

Dorian5 - "because maybe if I smell like a playmate it will trick people into thinking I look like one... or something." HAHA! I feel like I'm on the "or something" side of this right now :D I cannot WAIT to be thinking of a 138 reward!! Great job with your loss, you are SO close to the 120's, woo woo!

fruitlady 04-12-2011 02:41 PM

This rainy weather we have everyday is getting to me. It's depressing & makes you want to eat. I ate 2 pks of hubby's tastykakes after breakfast, I was so hungry for chocolate or peanut butter. I'm over my limit again by 200, had 1600 cal. planned for the day. Took a 30min walk in the rain, my weight is down 3oz. I'm so sick of struggling to keep my weight down. It's so easy to gain & so hard to lose!

jigglefree 04-12-2011 02:46 PM

It's a good day. I didn't do a morning workout today but I did get my lunch time workout in. 15 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the eliptical. I may have to rethink that thing. When I get on the eliptical I'm famished by the time I get off. I like it because it burns so many calories and I have it on the highest intensity level. ANYWHO...

JD - I got a poster and a video with the kettle bells and I use that. I don't really like the video because it doesn't have a workout it just shows the moves. So I use the poster. It's a great workout though. I may have to jump on them when I get home. OH and I LOVE IT!! My arms are getting it together.
MissJessica - YOU CAN GET IT DONE. We still have more week left than week used. So a loss is coming.
Gordis in Paris - Welcome. We are having good days and not so good one so join in. We are having fun though.
P H A T - I hope you got outside today. It's a little chilly in the A. I was going to walk outside during lunch but it's too chilly for me.
Fit - Congrats on the loss. It all adds to the bottom line.

UH-OH I hear the pitter patter of big feet...better get back to work. Everyone else have a great day and I'll try to check in when I get home.

I actually got an email about a team today so I'm super excited. Hopefully it will work out.

Ehh, it wasn't so much the something sweet. I'm just trying not to eat if I'm not hungry. It's kind of a weird thing because it really only applies to dinner and after dinner snacking. I eat my lunch based on when I need to go to the gym. But anyways (tangent, sorry :)) thank you for the tips. I have been incorporating much more fruit into my diet lately and always have blueberries (and carrots) on hand so I will think about them next time I've looking for something sweet.

Okay, now on to a somewhat unrelated rant, does it annoy anyone else that what you eat is called your diet and then when you eat to lose weight it's also called a diet? I drives me batty! I hate talking to people and saying "my diet" because they see my weight loss and think that I'm on a diet. No, I've changed my lifestyle. I'm going to eat like this for the rest of my life (or at least that's the plan), this is not a temporary thing to help lose weight. Anyways, having typed it above, it reminded me how annoying it is. At least I know when you guys read it you know what I mean. :)

manders01 04-12-2011 07:02 PM

LOL So I've been running errands all day, the last of which was to a flooring supplier / installer to work on carpet selection for one of my projects. As I was leaving, I accidently knocked a carpet book off the table. As I bent down to get it, I pulled / strained / seriously hurt my right hamstring! Hurt like a sonofa! My first thought was that I'd have to skip my workout but then I thought, well I'm sure it will feel better by the time I get home and it will be awhile before I leave to go work out so I shouldn't have any problems. Well, after getting home, finally having my lunch and being beat from running all day, I decided an evening sitting on the heating pad would be much more beneficial. Since I ate lunch so late, I can have a lighter dinner and take in a lower amount of calories today. I feel somewhat guilty since I think I would be okay on the bike but walking is a little painful and I have to believe in trying to mimic my body's motions on an elliptical, I'd probably be in tears on it. So no gym tonight, I'm a bad girl. ;) Looks like my Thursday day off came a few days early this week! :D

EDIT: I won't even try to deny that the fact that I would have missed good portions of listening to the Rockies and watching the White Sox had I gone to the gym factored into my decision to skip it. :o

OhMyDogs 04-12-2011 11:25 PM

manders at least you have a good reason for skipping the gym. LOL I have been walking every single day. One day last week I decided to take off because my knee (which is arthritic) was really bothering me. Both my dogs bolted out the door during that day, and I ended up walking town trying to catch them (little buggers), it's a small town, very very little traffic, so there wasn't much danger to them, was mostly a pain. So today, I decided to take the day off...get this...because it was grey and windy! Typically I am more resilient, but I opted to chicken out today! LOL Hope the hammie's feeling better soon!

Fit4Lyfe 04-13-2011 12:55 AM

Just an evening check-in...I have been having daily sweet cravings, which isn't a surprise, I love sweets (my poor teeth can attest to that! lol) but I am trying to find ways to eat "healthy" sweet things. So I recently discovered Jell-O Temptations in French Silk Pie:woohoo: I have found my holy grail of desserts: it's creamy and good, chocolate and mousse-like concoction all for 140 calories!!! I swear I am eating a piece of pie. I was really naughty and had TWO tonight (still trying to practice moderation :o) and they were soooo good. Anyways, I ate almost 1,700 calories today, which is ridiculous but I worked out and I've decided that the rest of the week (Wednesday-Saturday) I am going to keep my range between 1,350-1,600 because although I am losing weight right now, I still feel like I'm eating too many calories..

Okay, I'm rambling:blah:...Good night ladies and here's to hoping that the scale is nice to me tomorrow!!!

pochamma10 04-13-2011 02:39 AM

Hmm, so after being down nearly 6 lbs last week, the scale is STUCK this week. Hasn't budged a tenth of an lb! I'm not really sure except it might be that I am actually not eating enough calories. My range is supposed to be 1600-1800 but I have been at around 1200-1400 every day this week (our week starts on Sunday here) because I really haven't been hungry. I've been exercising every day, walking 2-3 miles plus light training with resistance bands and the odd bit of dancing thrown in! Anyway, I'm determined to keep at it but if anyone has any helpful hints or advice, I'm all ears!!! Hope you ladies are having a great week.

Fit You are kicking butt on this challenge! I'm still about 2 lbs away from my goal so hoping that I can make it by Easter!

jdonato I am with ya! I think I'll tell my scale to also eff off! :D

Jiggle I love kettlebells! Unfortunately I couldn't bring them with me here because they are too heavy but I'm looking at incorporating them into my routine when I return home in a few months.

Manders Ouch! That sucks, hope you recover quickly!

KellyBean88 04-13-2011 02:47 AM

My goals is to lose 5 lbs. by Easter... HERE I GO!

TiredOfGettingBigger 04-13-2011 07:53 AM

Yay!!! 176.4 today..... and this is he first time in my life that I didnt know what to wear for the day cause I'm ok how everything looks on me. I just bought some new jeans last month size 14 and now another 5 pounds I will need new ones, already lose. Thats such a great feeling. I can see my ultimate goal around the corner and it doesnt seem impossible anymore. The running really got my wieght loss moving from a stand still.

Northern, you could do it. I went on to google map and found a walking route around my house that was about two miles and I try to do that at least everyother day.

jdanato- Don't worry it happened/happens to all of us..... if you keep on track the numbers will start moving again.

All the others your doing so well hang in there.

Good morning beauties.. ;; & HAPPY HUMP DAY!! the middle of the week ;; weighed as gaining 1oz .. Not really sweating it because I know my period is coming up & I've done pretty well this week .. I got some extra power walking in yesterday, walked around the hospital when leaving to see my niece [who's doing fairly well I might add] .. I am so psyched because I have been leaving work on time all week [3:30] .. so I dont feel like Im WORKING constantly & I get to enjoy some of this beautiful weather :) ..

I'm running short on time, so I'll end here, I've attached a couple pictures of my tulips, Im so proud of them !

NorthernExposure 04-13-2011 08:48 AM

1600 cals yesterday and a 30 minute walk OUTSIDE with the dog! Had to cut it a bit short as it was threatening rain, but I live in a hilly area so I think I still got a decent workout (felt my calves working for sure!) It was SO nice to do something outside. 72 degrees yesterday!! A little cooler today (April is such a wild card month around here) but it definitely motivates you to get out and take adavantage of the nice days we do have this time of year.

Phat: your flowers are so pretty! I admire people who are into gardening...I seriously have a black thumb!!

Manders: hope you're feeling better! I think it was wise of you to take a rest day. One missed workout is better than complicating an injury and having to miss even MORE workouts.

Tired: I just bought some new pants too (some 14's...yay!) I hope I have the same "problem" as you in that they're too big in another month or so :)

Newbies: welcome! :)

Well, we are halfway through another week. Hope everyone is doing well!

Well, due to my injury and the subsequent pain, working out and in turn eating will be "game time decisions". :D No planning today cause I just don't know what will happen. But will definitely strive for my 1200 calories net so if there ends up being no exercise, there will be light meals. Even with a lunch out.

Have to spend some time in the kitchen this afternoon and will attempt not to eat a million cupcakes. :nono: I had taken them off the menu for a while because they weren't coming out quite right but since I need to be in the kitchen for other things, it will be a good time to work on them. Lord, give me strength! :)

Hope everyone is doing well! Halfway through the week! It's pretty glum in Denver today and we are expecting rain today and tomorrow. Sure signs that spring is here! And I'm trying not to complain as we had a very dry winter and if we don't get some precipitation, wild fires will be out of control this summer. But I sure can't wait for the :sunny: to come back out!

manders at least you have a good reason for skipping the gym.

LOL Thank you! Well, at first it was definitely an excuse but as the night wore on, I'm really glad I didn't go. Getting up a walking around was somewhat painful. And after I did some research online, I changed to ice instead of heat because heat hinders, ice helps! Whoops!

Manders Ouch! That sucks, hope you recover quickly!

Thank you! And congrats on your determination to keep it up! You will see the positive effects soon, I'm sure of it!

Thank you! Great minds think alike! ;) While I woke up with very little pain, I still had pain. So I had decide that maybe taking at least today off would be a good idea. Iced it again this morning and will go in to do my arm weights but definitely no leg weights or elliptical. I may try the bike but I will make that decision at the gym. I have to be in the kitchen for several hours this afternoon so that could cause added stress on it and want to take that into account before I make a commitment to myself to hop on a bike. And if for some reason I'm not able to do any of it, I'll be disappointed, but okay with that two. I'd rather be out 2 or 3 days than 2 or 3 weeks as some places online said it takes to recover from a hamstring injury!

I was looking at a pretty 131.2 when I stepped on the scale this morning! 130 here I come! Maybe I can even actually make it to 130.0 by Easter! Although, like I said, if I'm 130.9 I'll take it! :D

P H A T - I love your tulips! They're beautiful! I can't keep any kind of plant alive, I can't remember to water them or anything. Good thing my dog lets me know if he's hungry!

Have a LOVELY day everyone!!! :carrot:

Good morning and thank you everybody for all the well wishes and congratulations...it sucks because I can't actually see any of the changes (yet) but I know I am losing weight. So coming in here is a great motivator...anywho, I'm stuck at 239.4 (okay, just 2 days at this weight...but still) but it's okay. I have a new challenge goal of 237, so 2.4 lbs to go (when is Easter?) in 10 days, I hope I can make it!!! It's supposed to start raining here in a few hours, so I gotta get my walk and ab stuff in...

Have a good hump day ladies!!!

Having a good day. I got in a kettle bell workout last night and felt good going to bed. I ended the day at the upper end of my calories and that was cool since I did two workouts. I was just so hungry after getting off the eliptical. I will be taking the little girl to the park and getting some time in on the track before letting her loose on the playground. Once I do that, it's a wrap for me because she has to be tossed out of the park. When we leave she has a meltdown. Staying within my calorie limits today and should end at the 1400-1500 end which is my preference.

phat- your tulips are so nice! It rains here everyday since spring started, so i can't enjoy my flowers.

manders- glad you feel somewhat better, I'd be going buggy if I couldn't exercise.

Finally didn't go over my calorie limit today, had 1400. I'm right at the limit, but didn't exercise, i had so much to do there was no time. If it wasn't raining I would have made time for a walk. I'm down 1 more pound, hope to see another loss tomorrow. For the past 4 days, all i want is junk food or peanut butter & I have resisted. So I think the scale should reward me!

Thanks! I was not liking the fact that I wasn't going to work out but since I spent 4 and 1/2 hours in the kitchen, I don't feel as guilty. Though, since I ate while I was in the kitchen, it might be all for not! :D I actually think the time in the kitchen and a couple of short walks I did today did it good though. I'll be careful at the gym tomorrow but I will definitely be there! :)

----

That's right, ate at the kitchen. :nono: I could have helped myself, I could have avoided, but I didn't. I allowed myself to eat 4 cupcakes at 60 calories a piece and 6 snickerdoodles at 52-1/2 calories a piece. I have absolutely no excuse. I needed to test at least one cupcake and two snickerdoodles. I could have taken one bite and thrown the rest away. Or even eaten the entire thing. But I ate more than I needed to. I don't really feel guilty just know that what I did was "wrong" and I need to learn how to be in the kitchen baking without shoving it all in my mouth. Not only am I eating needless calories but I'm also eating profits. That's bad!

Before I even left the house to go to the kitchen, I also had 4 oatmeal chocolate chip cookies at 52 calories a piece and 2 snickerdoodles. Again, didn't need to eat all of them. Just needed to check their freshness. Could have done that with one bite a piece.

Although I was slightly under my calorie allotment today (not the 1200 net calories, my allowed 1638 calories), I had some dinner when I got home. I was not hungry but felt like since I had eaten not so good for me stuff all afternoon, I needed to get some good stuff in my body. So I had a bowl of Fiber One cereal topped with sliced banana and blueberries with almond milk. I feel good that I added to my fruit and fiber for the day even though I probably could have gotten away with not eating them.

I don't necessarily feel like today was a bad day but it certainly wasn't a good one. Not really much I can say but "It is what it is" and start fresh in the morning.

Ugh...I had a mini-meltdown this evening after a math test I took. I suck at math and this is the 2nd time I've taken it in my college career (my 6 YEAR college career...and that's just undergrad) and I NEED this class to graduate. So, this was our mid-term tonight and I think I did not-so-well and I was just depressed and stressed and ate 239 calories over my limit for today...ugh. Okay, I am back on the horse tomorrow with an ab and stair work-out in the morning...I'm not going to beat myself up over it. Night ladies!!!

pochamma10 04-14-2011 03:58 AM

Well, it's official, I weighed in this morning (Th is my official weigh in day) at 249.7 so I met my challenge goal to be in the 240s by Easter! :woohoo:
I am going to aim to be a bit lower in the 240s by the end of the challenge.

PHAT What pretty flowers! I love tulips and yours are beautiful! Glad also to hear your niece is doing well.

Fruitlady Great job on staying within your calories!

Manders Thanks for the pep talk! You were right, I did end up seeing some results because I stuck with it! I'm sure you'll be right back on track after some challenges with the baked goods (yum!) and your injury. You've done some amazing things and look at how much you lost so far, wow! Also, are those cupcakes and cookies from your own recipe? The calorie counts sound amazingly low!!!

Fit Congratulations on taking that math test, even if you were dreading it. You probably did better than you thought. I think you have the right attitude, 239 cals is not so bad and you can't beat yourself up about it; you can only get back on the horse! You've been doing awesome - keep going! ;)

OhMyDogs 04-14-2011 09:48 AM

Oh sooooooooooooo not fair. So here's the gimped up way I am doing things...Weigh in is typically Monday (this week was Tuesday though). For the next 3 days I'll let myself weigh daily, then for the rest of the week I won't get on the scale until weigh in day (so weigh in can be a "surprise").

Weird and wacked out, I know...but hey, that's totally me.

So this morning was my last morning "allowed" on the scale before Monday. I got on, same as every other morning, but this morning I was UP 1.5lbs. I just finished TOM on Monday, so it's not that. All I can conclude is that the Subway Salad I had last night (Buffalo Chicken Salad) must have had a fairly high dose of sodium in it...that or I'm gonna cry! LOL Of course, the subway site doesn't give the nutritional information for "Buffalo Chicken", so I had to wing it in sorting out the calories...but I think I did ok.

Super not fair!!

P H A T 04-14-2011 10:20 AM

thank you ladies on the compliments for my flowers !! Im so proud of them this year!!

Kinda feeling a little nauseous this morning, I might end up leaving work early... :(

manders01 04-14-2011 10:53 AM

Alright, now you guys are really going to laugh at me. I have been trying to get the cupcakes just right in the looks department. They taste great but don't look so hot because the centers keep caving in. My original recipe called for a ganache on top but it doesn't hide the cave in. So today I'm going to be testing out whipped frosting. I will behave, I will behave, I will behave. :D

Other than that, a day filled with more errands and to-dos. But honestly, sometimes I like those days just as much as the ones I get to be a bum on the couch. At least makes me feel like I'm doing / accomplishing something! It would be easier to be motived not to lay on couch today if it wasn't :rain:. Rain, rain, go away, come again another day!

Right now I have 1268 calories planned but don't have a morning or evening snack planned so there's room for them if needed. I'll do my arm weights, might try my leg weights and the bike so we'll see where the exercise calories burned comes in at. Hamstring is feelin' much better after the stretching I did in the kitchen yesterday so I'm ready to get back to :workout: and :bike2:!

Good for you! You're not too far over your limit and you can always try to be under by that much today if you feel like it would be helpful. I'm sure you did great on your test!

Congratulations!!! :cb: I can't help but hear that soccer announcer who was on the Geico commericials yelling, "GOOOOOOOAL!" whenever someone hits a goal weight. :D

Thanks! All my recipes for my business are either my recipes from scratch or inspirations from other recipes. Inspirations because not only have many of them had ingredients changed for flavors, they've all been changed to be low-cal. The cupcakes are an adaptation of the Hungry Girl Brownie cupcakes and the cookies are standard recipes that I made low-cal.

Buffalo chicken sauce has a TON of sodium. If they use the most typical recipe (Frank's Red Hot Sauce and butter), Frank's is 190 mg a tsp and butter is 95 mg a tbsp. Most recipes I'm seeing online are calling for 1/4 to 1/2 a cup of Frank's and 3 to 4 tbsp of butter. So on the low side the sauce may be about 1285 mg (since a whole recipe of the sauce is probably two servings). Regardless, I would think yes, that is the reason. You'll be back down at your next weigh in, I'm confident of it!
