PHAT Oh no!!! Sorry for the gain, but you know, it's amazing how clothes really effect your weight. I have this slip of a nightie I wear and I've been weighing in it every morning, this morning I took it off and the scale went down another freakin' .6 lbs, that's over half a lb. for that little piece of cloth!
NorthernExposure Yea, I am still freakin' out days later! I have zero patience and I am over-reacting like crazy. I know I'm not married anymore, but the ring still means a lot to me and...I'm just soooo frustrated b/c I know it's in the house k15g15 Thanks...I hope I'll find it eventually jigglefree I am stopping today, if I don't stop obsessing over it and turning my house upside down, I won't be able to function anymore. I'm hoping it turns up, thanks! I'm writing in red since dreaded TTOM  is still knocking on my door lol. Anyway, I'm down to 243.8 today and I'm super pumped!!! only 2.8 more pounds until my Easter goal!!! I'm am just praying to God I can stay on plan and stay under 1500 calories this weekend, since Monday is my "official" weigh-in and I'd like to squeeze one more pound out of me, but even if I just stay where I am, that will still be a 2.7 pound loss for the week and I'll take that...because I'm a slow loser :( |
I'm having trouble losing weight. I'm eating healthy (I need more veggies) and I stay within my calorie limit most of the time and I work out every day or at the very least, every other day. I ended up gaining the 2lbs that I lost. I'm hoping that I lose the last 1.6lbs before weigh in on Monday. At least then, I will be back down to my 2lb loss.
|
Hi there, I'm fairly new -- figured I needed a new goal to keep my motivation up, and an Easter goal sounds perfect. I'm currently at 133lbs, I would love to see 130lbs by Easter.
I think it's pretty attainable if I stay away from peeps and cadbury eggs (easier said than done, I'm afraid - I am an admitted candy freak) :bunny: In the meantime, I would love to start feeling better about myself. That might be harder than resisting the candy, ya know? But in the end, maybe more important. :) |
jiggle- congrads! you work so hard, you deserve to lose some inches! And yes eating your biggest meal for breakfast, lightest meal at dinner does work. I make sure I eat most of my carbs before 3:30pm also.
Dorian5- I know how you feel, all you see is Easter candy everywhere you go, it's so hard to resist. I'm a chocolate lover, so if you have to have some, just buy one Cadbury egg at a time, then you can't go overboard. I like the Russell Stover carmel marshmallow egg. They are only out for Easter, thankfully! Weight is dropping, ate no peanut butter for 4 days. Rode the bike for 20min. no walk today. I got up too late and ended up eating breakfast at 11am. Had alot of running around to do at different stores, I was right on target with my calories, had about 1150 total with breakfast & lunch. Only three hours after lunch (6:15pm.), I was about to make dinner & I got so hungry it hurt. Felt drained and sick, had to force myself to stand and make it. So w/ dinner I'm at 1495, went over cause I had to eat more dinner than usual to feel better. I hate to feel sick & I knew I had to go to the market after I ate. It took about an hour to feel better, that sucked! Guess I have to remember to eat more on days I'm more active! |
Weight yesterday was 230.0. Lost 1.5 pounds since last week.
Easter goal is 225. Next weigh in I should be in the 220's. I can do this! |
Hey everyone. So far I have been doing really well with sticking on plan, and while I had been planning on alternating my walking distances (3 miles one day, then 1.6 the next) I have actually been sticking to 3 miles every day for the last 4 days. Today I break the streak though because I will be going to the gym this afternoon, so I will just do 1.6 miles. Tomorrow is my weigh in, so NO sodium for me tonight!!!
Dorian5- When I saw your avatar, I thought it was mine...on another site I go to my dog is my avatar, and my dog looks A LOT like your dog, and it messed with my head for a minute! fruitlady- it's nice when the weight comes off! I have the opposite problem, a lot of times I have too many calories for me to eat with my usual foods, so I use a tbsp as a quick calorie/protien source! I wasn't overly fond of it, but am learning to enjoy it more. diet4me- WTG on the loss! You're doing great!! |
UGH! Stupid PMS! Can't seem to fill up and when I think I am, I still have massive urges to eat! Did pretty good all day yesterday until the evening. Hopefully I can refrain from eating all the groceries I bought yesterday in one fell swoop today. :D
Going to try to keep the calories at 1589. And hopefully the storm that's supposed to roll in will wait till a few hours after the ballgame so I have time for a walk. Otherwise, I might try to find some workout videos online to take care of getting some exercise in. Is anyone else not wanting this weekend to end? ;) |
I second no end to the weekend! The sun just came out here, go figure - 5pm on Sunday?? Lame about the PMS, drink drink drink! ;)
I'm having company over tonight for pudding, but I'm trying to keep it light. It's an off day from exercise, so I can't indulge too much. I have some apples and blueberries, I think I'm going to make mini tarts. LOVE that summer is on it's way! Fruit always seems more appealing to me in the summer... Weigh in day is tomorrow - if I'm in the 140's it's new perfume day!! :crossed: |
Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are!)
Didn't count yesterday and indulged in pizza for dinner. It's kind of my belated anniversary "cheat" to myself since I came down with the stomach flu last weekend and obviously didn't enjoy much food then! Back OP today though. I did have a bit of an NSV yesterday. Just for giggles I tried on a pair of size 14 jeans when we were out shopping. A bit too "muffin toppy" to wear in public right now, but I was thrilled that I was able to get them zipped up! Perhaps by the end of the challenge (and after TOM is FINALLY over), I will be close! One thing I really need to do soon is the dreadful swimsuit shopping. (DH are planning a little getaway to a waterpark hotel over Easter break.) I have a suit I bought from Target last year that I just loved, but it's just too big to wear anymore. They have some of a similar style, but I really don't like the colors/patterns they have. They do have one online that I like, but I'm a little leery. It's the same cut as the ones they have in the store so it *should* be fine, but ordering clothes online just seems to be such a craps shoot. Jiggle: we were under yet another winter storm warning last night, but they downgraded it. They've really been off these past couple of "storms" (which is fine with me...SO tired of snow). We just have a little slushy stuff on the ground this morning. Looks like it's going to be in the 50's this week, so it should melt soon. Oh, and congrats on your loss!! Well, I have some errands to run so I better get my butt in gear. Hope everyone is having a relaxing end to the week! Edit: Jessica--I second the summer fruits! Can't wait for strawberries and melons to come into season...mmmmmmm! |
Fruitlady - great ida, my honey and I split a chocolate covered peep about a week ago (he said "because you will not stop talking about them") Turns out, they aren't as good as I hoped. In fact, they're awful. Didn't stop me from eating every last bit of mine (while declaring how awful they are) and the rest of his half. The first step is admitting you have a problem.
OhMyDogs - how funny is that! That's Dorian, he's like my baby. I worked as a manager at Petsmart, he was abandoned there at 8 weeks. Can you imagine? Now he's 100lbs and lives like a king. :) I weighed 132.6lbs this morning. Then the boy and I went to Golden Corral breakfast and I ate everything. Hustling backwards! Sheesh. :dizzy: |
Easter is only afew weeks away and my birthday is even sooner, I need something to help me get back on track. I need to start eating better. And with work getting crazier I need something to help me keep accountable so I don't get bogged down in the bad habits. A little mini goal like this will be great.
My Goal: To write down everything that I eat between now and easter, and at least once a week research the caloric values. I'd like to just see where I'm at even having to write it down will make me less likely to have binge sessions I think. Stick to my 3x a week aerobics class, that's pretty much "maintain" workout for me not lose weight workout but maintaining is better than gaining for sure! |
I'm up 4 oz. today, don't know why. I did have to eat a little more dinner last night cause I didn't feel well, but it was all healthy food & only went over by 100. It's not much, I know. But it makes you wonder where you went wrong and makes you feel discouraged. If your doing well, you should be rewarded! So this morning i blew it by eating 2 mini donuts & a piece of Amish funny cake. I was over my calories by 11:30am. Now, I just want junk food. Once you start, your hooked. I'm at 1700 now, who knows what it will be by tonight.
|
I am SOO upset with myself. I haven't had that good of a week! Its not that I'm eating soo bad, even though I have gone off course a little, I have extra calories set aside just in case of this .. its because I cant find time to exercise. I have been working like a slave & by the time I get home, Im so exhausted I feel like throwing up.. Well today ends that! I got on the scale, & had a 1.5 lb gain & I know its cause of being stressed, not exercising, also, my sodium isn't great because of the pastrami ive been eating for lunch. Well that's it. I'm not gonna let this continue to happen. I'm so frustrated right now with myself.. I'm gonna exercise every day this week at least 30 minutes, I don't care if I'm tired or not.. :( *sigh*..
|
I did not weigh myself today, but I have a feeling it's going to be bad because I went out last night (eventhough the dancing worked me out and I only had one drink) then we went out and ate and then I made a 500 calorie breakfast this morning. So, yea...at least I met a nice guy (lol)
|
Awe, I'm sorry to see so many discouraged posts. Chin up guys, it's a new week! We're in the same month as Easter now, goodness, it's come so quickly! Weigh in day for me today (after the gym - I always feel like that will be my very lightest of the day :)) Hopefully the scale is kind...
Welcome to the new gals - 3 weeks to go, good luck ladies! |
Oh, and PHAT, I really like the color theme of your post... Green is my favorite :)
|
I feel like I am constantly coming in here and apologising for not keeping up to date - and I'm here to do it again!
Life is so busy at the moment and with my new job starting, having to shop for all the new clothes...and actually starting this Wednesday (finishing up my week's notice at my old job too!) - I feel like I just don't have that much time to be posting huge posts like I used to! I am reading your posts though, and I haven't given up. I'm still counting, I'm still losing (so glad to have gotten over the plateau) and I am still here :) |

I'm over my little hissy fit .. I just said screw it, I'm not gonna worry about it! I just need to do better. I won't give up or quit. I know that losses & gains happen... Some weeks when you think you do soo well, you'll end up gaining & weeks when you've done horribly, you'll see a loss.. Weird , but it happens .. I know the little changes I need to make & I've committed to them .. Soo I'm gonna suck it up & Move On! :belly: |
I was way up this morning. Like, 2 lbs up. Pretty sure the 3 glasses of (excellent) wine and the steak dinner I had last night is to blame. The boyfriend called out of work just to hang out with me all day (we never have days off together!) so we ended up eating and eating and napping and watching TV... but it's back to business this week! Also, pretty sure that TOM is visiting shortly, so I'll try not to be discouraged. :)
|
This morning was weigh-in day for me. The scale read 275, which is a 3.5lb loss from last week, and equals a total of 20lbs loss! YAY!
|
Well we are having fun. We went out Saturday for dancing...well and eating. I did pretty well but yesterday was a hot mess. The only good thing about yesterday is I stopped eating at 5pm. So I gotta get at it today and the rest of the week. I don't want my progress stalled or going backwards.
Everyone that had a off meal or day...Today is a fresh start to make sure our bodies are able to be Peak Performers. LET'S GET AT IT!!! |
Well in regards to calories, that was the weekend from ****. I ate and drank well more than I ever should have considered. Time to recommit myself to myself! I want this weight loss so I need to do things to make it happen. Right at the tail end of PMS so it's going to be a challenge for the next week but I know I can do it! I'm going to plan out my meals more than one day in advance which seemed to work well during my last stretch of no binging. When I got a desire to have something, I would say okay but plug it into the next available meal, not have it right then. When I knew I was going to be having it, it seemed to help.
Aiming for 1555 calories today with weights and cardio. I don't know about anyone else but the seems like one of the worst Mondays in a while. Just not liking it being a Monday! :tantrum: But I will get through it! Hope everyone else does as well. :) |
P H A T I am so sorry you feel that way  I know you will do better this week!!! And you're so right: winning and losing is sometimes such a mystery
I hate that it's Monday  but I'm glad I woke up this morning and I'm glad I get another week to have a go at this thing. I weighed in at 243.4 today, that's a 3.2 lb loss from last Monday and over halfway to my Easter goal, so I'm pretty excited and motivated by that. I am going to add some light strength training these next few weeks, because I want to shape train while losing weight, so I know I'm going to start losing as a Snails pace, but I'd rather firm up and lose. That's it for me, I am going to go walk and then eat, Happy Monday and have an OP week! |
I'm up 0.2 lbs since last week. I over ate last week. Hopefully, this week is better.
|
OhMyDogs - Good for you! At least someone is losing! Keep it up!!:)
Fit4lyfe - Thanks for your encouragement  . && good luck on your strength training && :congrats: for your weight loss .. !! |
Good Afternoon,
I went to gym for my 2 mile walk/jog and it was WONDERFUL. I actually jogged most of the 2 miles. Calories are on point thus far. I loving it. P H A T - Keep your head up. I've had those days and you can do this. We can do this!! Ekicna - This is a new day and another opportunity to be successful. |
So I'm off to a rough start this week. I was thrown off course a little last week due to being sick, followed by pre-TOM. Was hoping to start fresh today after a so-so weekend calorie-wise. Had a workshop out of the building today and thought lunch would be something like soup and sandwiches...but instead it was pasta, bread, desserts and other yummy things. Let's just say I really have no idea how many calories I ate. I guess I will just eat my normal dinner tonight and do my exercise as usual. Hope I can salvage these last few days before my Firday WI. Not feeling too hopeful for a loss right now :(
Well, congrats to those who've lost and "hang in there" to those who are struggling...I feel your pain!! |
I feel you with the bad Monday! Ate too much and it was junk that I'm not even in to. Must be time to go to the grocery... Still a half pound away from getting out of the 150's. Two weeks isn't a long time to be stuck, but it sure feels like longer! More veg and protein this week, not so much sugar. This is the battle plan :) Great job to the losers this week! :D
|
I ate beyond full yesterday, 4700 calories including my three main meals I always have. Peanut butter and coconut macaroons are to blame, well actually I am to blame. Gained 3 lbs already, I hope there is not more to come. Today right back on plan, 1484 cal., walked for 32min. & did yard work for 7 hrs straight.
|
Hi all, doing well staying on plan. I think my drinking of huge quantities of water is really helping my efforts. I also continued to exercise, though I am having some foot pain in my right foot lately. This happens to me sometimes after I do higher impact stuff, like the jogging I've been doing lately. I might try switching back to walking/strength exercises until it subsides a bit. Too bad because I think I lose more with jogging than anything else. I think I'm on track to be out of the 250's before April 24!!! Congrats to others that are sticking with their plans.
Hang in there if you're struggling, you can do this! |
I've been out of control since my cheat day last Wednesday! AHH! Yesterday's slip up included fried chicken and biscuits at 1am. :(
Didn't even weigh myself this morning. TODAY WILL BE BETTER! I just finished off a couple of nutrigrain waffles with some peanut butter and I'm about to fill up my water bottle and get BACK TO BUSINESS! |
:) seems like everyone has had an uncontrollable couple of days.. haha.. I wonder why that is..
|
Well, I see I am not alone!
Did my 2-mile WATP yesterday, along with a few thigh exercises. Again, no idea on calories after yesterday's lunch disaster, but I did just eat a "normal" dinner and "normal" evening snack, so hopefully accomplished at least SOME damage control, lol. Back to my normal routine and plan today. Really need to be strict these next few days if I want to have any hope for Friday's WI. Not sure what I want to do for exercise tonight...debating between wii zumba and 30 day shred, along with some yoga. |
Proud of myself, kept on track yesterday even with some slight grazing while making dinner (4 mini rice cakes). The scale was very unkind to me yesterday but I'm not going to take much stock in it yet. Between the several binges in the past week and PMS, I'm guessing my water weight is sky high. So towards the end of the week I'll update my weight, should be more accurate then.
Have been trying to introduce more veggies into my diet since I feel like although I love them, I eat the same ones all the time. So I made mashed parsnips to go with my turkey burger and roasted brussel sprouts. Oh. My. God. :barf: I had a hunch I wasn't going to like them when I peeled them. They already smelled too sweet. Well sure enough, I took one bite and spit it right out. Ewwwwww! Since I had my hunch I made them earlier than the rest of dinner was to be ready so I had time to throw a potato into the microwave and have it instead. It was yummy! :D Planning on 1566 calories with moderate cardio today. Good luck everyone! Big hugs to those that have hit a rough patch. I'm hoping I've gotten through this one. :crossed: Dorian - Hang in there! You can do it! |
Good morning, although Monday was a little out of control (I had a whole bag of Bit-O-Honeys and tea and too many rice cakes!!! LOL) the scale was still nice to me this morning, it mus understand how other areas in my life are sucking right now, so I can at least control this (weight loss). Anyway, weighed in at 242.4 this morning and I feel like if I keep this up, I will smash through my Easter Goal by next official weigh in. Have a good day fellow chicks!!!
|
I "cheated" last night and had some Hawkin's Cheezies...BUT I didn't go outside of my calorie range, so that's a bonus. I don't typically weigh every day (at least I try not to), but wondered how much water I would be retaining after all that sodium last night, I was up 1.6lbs from yesterday morning...crazy!
I did my typical daily 3 mile walk today, but have decided to add in some short interval running, as long as my knee (which is arthritic) can take it, today was day one, and my intervals were very short (only 75 meters or so), but it felt good to be able to do it at all. I know I couldn't even have done that at the beginning of the year, so I am pleased. |
I hope everyone is having a good day on plan. I have been staying in my calories but eating too much "crappy" foods which leaves me without any energy. :( So then I don't work out:( But I did spend 2 hours cleaning my kitchen and walls (my basset hounds have a slobbering issue that can end up on my walls) last night so I hope I burned a couple calories that way.
Good luck everyone, I'm sending positive energy your way! |

Thanks, Manders01! Your little comment made me excited to sit down at my desk and eat my very healthy lunch. :)
k15g15, I bet that did burn a few calories! I love bassets too! OhMyDogs I looooove Newfies!! When I worked at Petsmart we had a regular Newfie who was just DARLING! I felt bad for her though because her owner lived in an apartment complex in a tiiiiiiny 1 bedroom, that dog had no room! She was very low energy with a bad knee, so I guess she didn't need as much... still though. Yeesh. My honey and I are getting a Pembroke Corgi puppy soon, I told him that I've already been there and done that as far as puppies go and this is his responsibility! Anyway, been staying ON TARGET today! Just gotta catch up a little on my water consumption and stay strong tonight, I think my boy and I are getting dinner together. But I've got my eye on the prize now! :Insert ROCKY theme: :carrot: |
Dorian We had a Newfie before, and she too had a "bum knee", and she was AMAZING. We lost her almost 2 years ago to bone cancer, and it devastated me. I have decided it's time for me to move on, so I am hoping to be getting a puppy by the summer. They are AMAZING dogs.
