Hi All ~ I lost 2 pounds this week! The scale was stubborn for the first few days, so it was nice to see a loss. My average daily calories for last week work out to 1670, so I'm good with that. I'm really craving a cucumber sandwich...I think I know what my lunch is going to be. No exercise for me again yesterday, I know I can't do any cardio because of my foot, but I didn't even do my upper body exercises, ugh, I was just too darn tired. At least I'm on track with my calories, the exercise will come in time.

I hope you are all doing well! Keep counting those calories.

EarthyWitch-Whoohooo on the 2lbs! Thats awesome!!!

Today is my higher calorie day and im SO PROUD of myself. Normally on days i set aside to *ahem* splurge, thats what i do all day...EAT EVERYTHING. But not today(or the last two sundays) im really sticking to my calories!

It just feels good(even if the scale didn't move this week)

My goal was 2000, i ended the day a little over @ 2120...but i burned 506,so all is good We had pizza so it could of been alot worse,LOL. (ive got popcorn for my last snack..may skip to make it closer to my goal)

Have a great night!

EMILEIGH-Thanks,I try to have a great attitude, but after a while it get frustrating especially when you do everything right and the scale doesn't want to budge. It seems every time I go away on a cruise, my weight goes up at least 10-lbs and than it drops to 6 and the remaining 4 doesn't want to come off no matter what I do ,so this is the 4th time I went away and now I have 16-lbs to loose.I must except my body actions, after these trips.

Hi there

Today is my first day getting back on the weight-loss wagon. I am excited to give calorie counting a try and seeing all the success you've all had is very encouraging. I have tried many times (weight watchers, jenny craig, herbal magic, you name it) to lose the weight without much success. Weight watchers is the only thing that's worked for me in the past but it can get expensive and i'm hoping that going this route will provide the same (if not better) results. It's nice to 'meet' all of you and i'm looking forward to giving (as well as getting) some encouragement and motivation along my journey!

Past two days were such fails. I ran my first 5K and used it as an excuse to basically binge. But, today and until friday, I'm staying on track and trying to exercise a decent amount every night!

And I saw somewhere that seltzer was a better alternative to soda... I bought it today, so whoever had the idea, thanks, it's delicious!

Good Morning Ladies

Didn't have a good weekend,as I had a tummy ache from either something that I ate or a some kind of virus. I'm better today but my weight for the month according to my chart lost a total of 2 lbs out of 4 that I expected.Oh well tomorrow I will put up my new mini Oct challenge.

Have a great cc day

Yesterday, only had 1200 AND worked out. Today, I'm at 1200 right now... and will probably end the day at 1300! Going to the gym now though. YAY, back on track!!! lol, literally.

Miss, good job yesterday on the calories and the tennis. It's a great sport and the conditioning you do it for it can definitely get you in shape! Definitely look into the conditioning for tennis because they're great exercising if you're looking to lose. I used to play and I can definitely say tennis season made it easy for me to eat almost anything and lose.

Good for you! Awesome job on calories. I tried to play tennis with the hubby a long time ago, too, sounds like we had similar experiences, lol.

~Hi everyone, I'm on track, doing good! My pulled achilles feels somewhat better so I'm going to try to get my butt up and exercise a bit today, even if it's just for arms! Have a great day everyone!

Hi All. I did my strength workout tonight!! Even though I'm still hurting I got up and did my exercises, I just modified anything that would for sure make my achilles worse; I did shallower squats, and took out the calf raises and lunges. Since some things did get taken out I added some extra reps in other areas where I could handle it. Oohhh, I finally gave in and tried...hummus!! I had tried it once before (a realllllly tiny bite about 10 years ago) and I didn't like it at all. So I tried it tonight with my hubby who likes it and it was DELICIOUS!! I baked a 100% Whole Wheat Pita in the oven with a few sprays of ICBINB on it (to make it come out crunchier) and it came out amazing, I broke little pieces off it and dipped it into 1 serving of hummus and it was the best new thing I've had in a long while. To me personally it tasted kind of like refried beans with garlic, lol, which I love though. (I used to use them in veggie burritos all the time.) So I got a really hearty snack and it was 175 calories total and found something new I like. The hummus was 35 calories for 30g, and the pita was 54g and 140 calories. Both were the healthiest I could find, all natural/no preservatives hummus, and 100% whole wheat for the pita. (175 calories, 2.5g of fat, 6g of fiber, 7g of protein all total.) All in all I had a great day!

I hope you are all doing wonderful.

Morning

Looks like everyone is doing great!

I had an indulgence meal yesterday and i really needed it,mentally! I feel better today and im ready to kick some bootie I will NOT get on the scale until sunday...so i don't get distracted. Todays plan is to eat 1600, get in a run interval and an upper body workout.

I woke up with allergies so ive got to get some more clariton today

EarthyWitch-What brand hummus did you buy? I haven't found any hummus that i liked yet, and i LOVE refried beans and garlic. Yay on your workout..awesome!

loquaciousjogger-im kinda new to tennis so im not sure what 'tennis conditioning' is? Can you recommend a book? I just googled it and got some info on it but would love your suggestion. I got really frustrated yesterday while playing...i keep hitting the ball to hard and to the left. DH use to play so his swing is good...which is another reason i was frustrated,LOL

beach bum- Im glad your feeling better! Good luck on your new oct challenge.

Have a good day!
