Hi Ladies

Not feeling well today. I having a terrible time breathing, and my legs are getting weak.Hope I'm not coming down with any cold of flu bug.My DH had to go out to the bank and than to the supermarket to pick me up some Metamucil and other things that are on the list. I don't like him going out in a crowd when his immune system is down and it will be so easy to catch something.

Did good over the Holiday, kept to my eating plan so I should lose some thing other than .5 next week.

PRINNY-So sorry you feel that way, hope whatever is taking over your life will leave as soon as it came. Relax and hope to see you back next week.

BCGAL-Welcome to the chat.Sound like you in control and glad to see you came out of lurkism.Congrats on your 1 lb loss while being on a 10 day holiday. I feel the same about calorie counting is better than any diet out there.Yes,I have my ups & down, that will be expected until I can find the correct calories that my bod will except.Glad to have you a board.

EMILEIGN-I read that somewhere also, but to me you need exercise to keep the old muscles from going to mush. I try to get my exercising done especially when I'm on my high calorie side of the cycling.

Have a good one

hi everyone! I am planning on starting my weight loss success tomorrow. I am going shopping this afternoon to make sure that I am prepared. Tonight I am going to create my menus for the next few days (I need to be organized or I will fall off the wagon). I look forward to chatting with everyone on here.

Hi guys.

They've opened a gym at work! I'm so excited - I'm not going to join just yet because I'm going on holidays for a month at the end of this week, but when I get back, just you wait (or weight?!) It's subsidised, and we can pay from before-tax salary, so I save tax as well.

Plus I'm there anyway, so I don't have to get dressed and get there - my problem with gym programs before. PLUS there's PTs who work with you, thereby increasing my chances of success even more.

I can't wait!

Hey guys! Just popping in to say hi. Today was my first day "back" to loosing. Too much going on the first week before school started so I just focused on maintainig and not going over 2000 calories a day. Today school started so I went back to 1200 per day. It went well but I am done for the day and definatly hungry. Im going to drink a big glass of water though and hit the hay! I got my days worth of food all packed up for tommorow as I have a class first thing in the morning and head off to work for 11 hours. Work is definaly my weakness though...I work with food and YUMMY food to boot! I am determined to stay strong and included a Fiber 1 bar which I find just like a candy bar...so I will grab that if a delicious muffin, cookie, or slice of hawiian pizza calls my name! I WILL FIGHT BACK! lol! Wish me luck!

Hi! The last time I posted here was January. I hope I can join back in? I've lost my weight so far by low carb, but I've always counted calories. Actually I don't even count the carbs but know which foods to eat. I mostly eat lean proteins and veggies and find if I have anything more I really don't lose. Right now I'm working to get under the 200 pound mark. I'm at 204 today. I generally try to limit calories to 1,500 per day. I'm 50+ years old and generally lose slowly. I do walk each morning for exercise.

Prinny YEAH!!!! Congrats.

Beach bum I'm sorry to hear your not feeling well. Hope its quick passing and your DH doesn't get it. At work I feel a stomach thing is going around. I've made hand cleaning for everyone a regular part of our sessions... I hope that everyone gets better soon.

I've been doing some zigzagging since I was stalling. It usually gives my a boost and I see results on the first day I do it. I also thought maybe I went too far under when I was prepairing for my corn beef sandwich. I planned for eating more than one because I didn't think I would control myself...but I did. So I looked back at my calories and I was right on target. ....So it took me a while to figure out but it that TOM. So I'm up 1lb today.....hopefully down 3lb in a week.

Good Morning Ladies

Had some kind of 24hr bug,as I feeling fine again. I guess I need the well rested sleep that my body needed. I even had a small surprise on the scale this morn, hope it stays that way for this Mon W-I.

MYTHREESONS-Welcome to the chat, preparing and planing will help you from falling off the wagon..We have a great recipe thread on this board,so take at look and see.

PRIMM-That's going to be a great asset for you having a gym on the premises of your work.Don't have the hassle of going out to a gym after going home. When I was working before moving out off the area,we had a gym and every Mon Wed & Fri some of my follow employees would bring in a tape and we exercise to that .Than on Tues Thurs we power walk around the building for a 2 mile walk. That's where I got my body into shape in the good old days.

SAFFYTAFFY-Its going to take you bod a while to get used to the new calorie count. I suggest that if your hungry try to put more fiber into your meals,as that a better filler for hunger than just plain water. I use fiber one products as they have 6 fibers to keep you full. WARNING,if you never tried fiber before start SLOWLY as you bod has to get used to it also,or you'll feel bloated and gasy.

STARMOM-Welcome back,I remember seeing your user name on the chat.Wish some of the old timers would come back also.

I'm also watching my carbs, not as strict as the low carb plans are doing. I have a very hard time giving up my bread, but I don't miss the pasta & rice as I'm doing the same veggies & protein, and for some reason the scale is moving in the right direction.Slowly but its moving.

PRINNY-BIG CONGRATS on HITTING YOUR GOAL-Now please don't be a stranger,as we need an inspiration and support from you now that your won the the gold ring.

BABYBLUES-Thanks I feeling fine today I guess I just needed the rest.
TG my DH didn't catch whatever I had,as he starts is chemo today. Once the school opens, I find that the kids are the carrier to the germs out there and when the sickness starts.

Have a great morning I have to go to the supermarket & Walmarts and get some shopping done.

YAY! Prinny that is awesome.

Hey Ladies. I hope you guys don't mind me crashing in on the chat. I am calorie counter! YAY! Go CALORIE COUNTING GO!!!

I was wondering if any of you have tried the Loaded and Oated Pizza by Hungry Girl. The crust is Fiber One, Oatmeal and egg whites. The Fiber One and Oatmeal you put through your food processor first making it into a flour like substance. I am thinking of trying it for dinner tonight. I am wondering if my kids will eat it. Looks DEELISH.

Tonight is the second of 3 big tests I face this month. The first was Labor Day barbecue. That was easier than I thought because not much there that I fancied eating.

Tonight is a dinner meeting with catered meal and dessert. I know from experience I will really crave the dessert, so I must really watch myself.

Heh, thanks.

I'm not going anywhere. Well, I AM going to also hang out in maintainers but I am still coming here too.

I am using my go wear fit to tell me how much I have to eat each day since some days I am more active than others. It's been working ok, except for Thursday, it's now Friday, I was 400 calories under what I needed to eat for the day. Oops. On days I don't work out I seem to need about 1500 or a little more. I am so used to eating ~1200 it's hard to shift my brain to eat a bit more.

My acceptable range is 133-127 so as long as I stay in that I am fine.

I think I am gonna go make some cinnamon toast, (80 cal per slice whole grain bread toasted, just enough smart balance to make the goodies stick, splenda and a LOT of cinnamon). Less than 100 calories per slice total so I usually have 2 with tea. It's my new addiction!

My previous new addiction is 80 calorie cup of plain nonfat greek yogurt mixed with a packet of splenda and a packet of Via, it's Starbucks instant coffee. It takes care of the coffee ice cream craving.

400 short yesterday, already 68 calories into today... snack time!

hi all hope you dont mind me joining in here, I have alot of weight to loose ALOT and have been doing weight watchers for 8 months now and have only managed to loose 30lbs. I know that I can do much better so feel i need the change to counting calories but what worries me is the first few weeks of trial and error for how many calories I should be on. I am going to do 1700 a day this week and see Fingers crosses
