I weighed in earlier this week. I'm down 4lbs from last week. This week has been tough as far as snacking (PMS). I am calorie cycling and today is a low calorie day. Wish me luck. It is always hard this time of the month.

Hey Guys,

So yesterday I did use the 50 cals for a snack and ended at 1250. Today I WAS planning on being around 1400 but its already past 5 pm and I am not even that hungry (im at 900 cals so far)...so I will plan for no more than 1200 (including my snack) instead. Tommorow I work a 9 hr shift versus sitting in school all day like today...so I am planning on 1400 for tommorow! I guess I seem to be naturally calorie cycling...but I just figure I should have a low cal day when I am at school/not that active and consume higher calories when I am up and about. Seems okay right??

Saffytaffy..... I find my body calorie cycles for me also. I can usually tell with breakfast on what my body will need for the day.

This week started my AM exercise classes, including the friday stregthening class that has me so sore! But I am down 2 lbs! Yeah!

Hey CC'ers. Mind if I jump in? I'm counting calories as my plan - 2000 a day or so. (I have lots to lose!) I use a food scale to measure out portion sizes - those suckers can be decieving.

Hi...mind if join in on the chit chat?

I started cycling my calories about two weeks ago and im having some nice results so far. I eat 1600/4days a week, 1400/2days & 2000/1day. Seems to be working. I break up my cals, eating every three hours.

Babyblues-YAY on the two lbs....Feels so good doesn't it!

Earthywitch13- I have a digital scale too and its so much easier then pulling out the measuring cups. I love it...good luck to you!

Staffytaffy-I do the same thing. On days im less active i will get those lower calorie days 'out of the way',lol

Simba1-WTG on your 4lbs weightloss..thats fabulous!

Hi to everyone i missed have a good day...

misspriss - My digital food scale is my #1 tool for losing weight, I'd be lost without it, lol. Yes, much easier than pulling out a bunch of measuring cups. Congrats on your weight loss so far, wow!

Calorie cycling seems like a good idea. I think I do that without trying anyways, lol. I just eat until I'm satisfied and some days it's 1400, or 1700 some days its 2000, or even 2200, but my after a week my daily average is 2000, right on track.

Hi Ladies

Had lots to do this morning and couldn't be on the board until now.
WOW!! I see we have some new cc's aboard. Welcome to your all,I find that calorie counting is more important than the old diets out there, but than again that's my opinion.

We have another day like yesterday the wind is howling and it it was cold that my dh & I had to put our bath robes on.We both lost this weekend as our golf playoffs are not on this week,as we have to wait until next week to see them.

So far,I'm holding at my 169,but then its the weekend and I tend to gain or maintain on Mondays. Crossing my figures that it doesn't happen this week, now that I'm on a higher calorie count.

SIMBA-Welcome,Big congrats on your 4 lbs gone, and having a PMS on top of that,my that's fantastic. You're dong great keep up the good work.I'm another calorie cycle gal,I find it easier to keep my bod guessing with high low & mod days. Wish you luck,on your low day.

SAFFY TAFFY-I don't think low calorie days are bad,on the days when you not active. Try it for one week as see what happens.Every one is different what works for one may not work for the other. All this calories shifting in nothing but trial & error.

BABY BLUES-Congrats on your 2 lbs.loss, see all that hard work paid off.Wish I know what my body wanted for the rest of the day, never have a clue so that the reason I journal my menus ahead of time.

EARTHY WITCH-Welcome,My calorie zigzagging is from the free diet calorie counting calculator 1300-1700. I portion my food also, but I used those black trays that come with the frozen entrees.I just read that using a Dark Blue Plates somehow works as a food suppressant. So I'm thinking maybe that could work and if I can find one,I buy dk blue paper plates for my dinner & suppers.

MISS PRISS-Welcome,You got a great plan using your calories that way.Haven't decided on how many days I have each count. My Low =1300 Mod=1500 High=1700.My counts vary ever other day.

Have a great day,and I see you tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for the congrats! Yesterday was a 1300 calorie day. I went over a little. I just worked out a lil longer at the gym today.

Earthy Witch & Miss Priss: I'd be lost without my food scale too. I weigh everything (including ketchup).

Congrats on your loss babybluess!

Guilty, me too! I'm obsessive about accurate numbers (not just in weight loss) so I like weighing everything though, lol.

misspriss - Ugh, yeah peanut butter is sneaky, I rarely have it since it's such a small amount for high calories, but I had it last week and used 1/2 a serving on my piece of toast and added banana slices, still worked.

Saffytaffy - Good luck tomorrow!
