Hello Ladies!!!
Glad to see that everyone is doing great!! Things have been great here too. One of my best friends from high school flew in on Tuesday and we have been busy catching up. We got tattoos, shopped, and ate TOO MUCHH!!! The scale wasnt my friend this week but I think a lot of it is water weight from eating junk food! Hope everyone has a great weekend!! :) |
Last week, I was in the 202's....so close to my valentine's day goal of being out of the 200's. This week, after a week of really good on plan eating and working out every day, I managed to gain a pound!! I am so frustrated ;) I hate when the scale goes up...especially when I'm so close to what I want to see!
|
Chele, I gained a pound last week and I was mostly on plan all that week. This week I stayed "good" again and lost 2 pounds. Don't feel too bad. I know that's easier said than done especially just after stepping off the scales but it'll be gone next week. Just keep up the good work.
Hey, Angel. Sounds like you had one fun week. Well 3 weeks to go to goal for everyone. I don't think I'll make it this time but I'll only be a few pounds away from goal (and final goal, too!). |
BOooooOO! I've been stuck at my weight for 36 days. I just counted. 36 days. Boo! No headway on my Valentine's Day goal. Boo!
On the flip side, I'm going to be okay with it. A year ago, I would have been thrilled to be stuck at this weight. Would have cried with joy, thankful I've come this far. Because the weight I'm stuck at surpassed my original goal. So be thankful for little things today. Look at the silver linings and all. Aren't I a sappy Pollyanna? An on plan all da time Pollyanna too. HEY! I'll come back later and respond to you peeps. It's Saturday - my boy and I like to do running around stuff. Just checking in and whining. |
Hello, ladies!
Chele, I can totally relate. I made it down to 180.0, then it started bouncing back up...sigh. But, when I look at the past couple of weeks, I'm seeing lower numbers and a lower average each week, so I think I'm on the right track. I'm going a little stir crazy with the van still being broke down with some mystery ailment, but should have the money to do something about that in a week or so. In the meantime I just have to keep it OP, and not go mental. :dizzy: |
Hey Gals! Happy Saturday!
I am getting ready to go out and have some fun! :) Hubby is staying home with the boys tonight and I'm doing a little shopping and meeting friends for dinner at Ruth's Chris steakhouse. I had a good workout this morning, have made wise food choices thus far and look forward to a healthy, yummy meal out with friends. This morning I did my weight training solo. I didn't find out until the last minute otherwise I would have been looking for suggestions from my weight lifting friends. :) I basically have my training routine memorized so I did what my trainer and I have been doing the last few workouts and added a few reps here and there. My HRM again said I burned ~1600 calories in 60 min of weights and 30 min of elliptical. I think I'm solo again on Monday so I may do a little reading tomorrow to come up with some new things to try. My weight was stuck this week as well! I've lost 4.6 pounds so far this year...doesn't look like I'm realistically going to make my V-day goal of 15 pounds, but I will keep pushing. Today the scale showed me a lower number but I'm not sure I believe it yet. For some reason every week my Saturday weight is lower than any other day. I can't figure it out...the only thing I can think of is that I weight train on Wed and then do just cardio on Thurs/Fri...I wonder if my body uses that extra day to release any excess water in the muscles? I dunno...it just seems to be strange that it's always Saturday when I see the low weight. I'm outta here for now. DH is out with one of the boys right now..having a "healthy" snack at Mickey D's (sound familiar FB?) :^: When they return I'm hitting the road... Catch ya laters taters... ;) |
valentine's day is exactly 3 weeks away from today so i will aim to lose 10 lbs!
going from 156 to 146, would be great :) |
Today has been a good day so far.I haven't has any pop in almost 3 days, you would not believe how much better I am sleeping.
Keep up the good work everyone! |
Shew! Good thing I'm up late and have enough energy to type. If you miss a day or two on this challenge thread you pay dearly, for sure!
Today was awesome shopping. Macy's has an incredible sale going on, I got a huge old bag of clothes for under $40.00. Unbelievable! I want to go back, without my husband fidgeting and son breakdancing. Those guys drive me crazy to shop with. Seriously, my son will bust a move in front of any mirror he sees. I've always loved shopping, but love it even more now. The deals on clothes are a whole new game when the sizes aren't in a special department. I'm amazed! BBB - New Orleans? Fun! Is it scary to maneuver a big rig in a strange busy city? I would be terrified! I used to pull the girl thing when I had my welding stint. It didn't take much, just being a girl made my job easier sometimes. Stupid guys. The nutritionist/plan sounds perfecto! I eat often too. It does work. I admit though, I eat a ton of fat. Healthy fats, peanut butter and such, not salami. Love that you're pumping iron at the pumping station. 15 pound dumbbells? Impressive! KITTY! How's it going? Getting stuff done? JAMSTA! You should get a pedicure - just to amaze your sister. Tell me what it's like when you're done. I've never. My feet are ticklish. Nicki... No fair! I want to work in a gym. I need more time! Cphotographer! Yay on a new belt and quitting pop! Rock on. I'm not brave enough to quit soda. I would be a beast of a *****. Welcome Cat! Barb! What's the Unit? Any good? Should I break my no tv for the most part rule? Jamsta! Pulling a weight sled huh? Imma one up you and push a car around a deserted lot tomorrow. How's that? Just kidding. Unless I do my car, it's a two seater. Okay, maybe I will - I'll have the hubs take a photo. In all seriousness, it sounds like an awesome legs workout. You liked my style, eh? Cool! Hey, did you ride the bike to the library? Melinda! Yeah! Down five pounds and at my goal weight you stinker. Glad someone made it! Angel... you get a tattoo and don't tell us of WHAT? WELL? WHAT? Chele - You'll see it soon! Weight is tricky like that, always stopping at the cusp of something exciting. It sucks when that happens and you're at such a big milestone! Retired - I don't think I'll make it either, but like you I'll be closer to goal and that's a good thing. Barb! Yay! You kicked your own ***! That's awesome that the HRM says you burnt as much by yourself as you would have with Frank or Heidi. Cool. Not that you don't need them, it's just great that you're able to obviously do it efficiently own your own if need be. My husband and son had a 'healthy' snack or ten tonight too. ;) Welcome 173! ~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay, timer on the oven just went off. Yes, I AM cooking chicken breasts and turkey at 2:00 a.m. That's what happens when you get married and lose weight. No more closing the clubs in style, just closing the oven door in my ratty pajamas. |
FB, I couldn't get a pedicure. They'd want to take a file to my skating calluses and probably the "I've been wearing rubber boots all day" smell would kill everyone in the room, anyway. ;)
The verdict is still out on the sled pulling workout. First, I think I'd need more weight, since my legs weren't sore at all, but also, I think I'd need a better harness (I used a climbing harness) and/or some padding, because the only things that were sore were my poor bruised hips and my lower back. Pushing a car is probably better for you, lol. Today it is snowing, but it's just whispy flakes and nothing is sticking. Curiously, it's doesn't feel cold enough out there for snow, maybe because there's no real wind to speak of. 173, welcome! If you have a real name or a fake name and don't want us to call you 173 all the time, let us know. We shorten everybody's username around here, lol. Good luck with your challenge goal! As for me, still floating in 180 point something land, but TOM is due any time, so I'm hoping to see some 170s on the other side of that. :cloud9: |
FB- Here is a picture of the tattoo we got. It is a Zimbu Angelic symbol for friendship. We got it done this summer but decided it needed a touch up and we had some color swirls added to it. (The other is a tattoo of a firefly on my friends SO) I am all done with tattoos on my feet. I have 12 and that is by far the worst spot!! :)
http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...orGirls023.jpg Chubby- I was amazed at how much better I slept after I stopped drinking soda!! I felt so much better!! Congrats! :carrot: Retiredone- I think I had too much fun last week. It was nice to get back home and get back OP!! I was craving some veggies bad!! :p Wow you are getting really close to goal!! :cp: Barb- Hope you had fun on your girls night!! Sounds like a lot of fun! :D 173- :welcome: We had planned on going skiing today but it was -12 so we didnt make it. I am excited to take my DS, he is only 2 but I want him to start to learn now. Maybe next weekend. My goal for this week is to get some form of workout in everyday. I have really, really been slacking in that department lately. :tantrum: Have a great Sunday evening everyone! :) |
FB-LOL!!! It is pretty damn convenient
Down another pound this week!!! Woo hoo!! Weighed in at 207 this am. I would LOVE to update a ticker in my signature. How many days do I have left??? LOL |
Hi everyone! I'm new here but am excited to be a part of your V-Day challenge. I started my diet when I found this website and read all of the things all of you were writing. I started at 215 and am now at 206. My goal is to be under 200 pounds on Valentines Day. That will be the first time I have seen the scale under 200 in 7 years! I'm so excited. Thank you all for the motivation!
|
I only lost .06 this past week.I am not going to make my goal at this rate. I am going to increase veggies this week and try to avoid all processed foods and white carbs. Water and exercise has been pretty good and calories are OP. I wonder if i have hit a stalling spot...??

FB, too cute!! What a sweetie and what a nice way to lift.
Dgramie, I read somewhere on 3FC that someone buys 7 bags of frozen vegetables a week and eats a bag each day. Must be small bags though as I buy mine in 1 or 2 kilogram bags and that'd be an enormous amount of vegetable a day. I might try that by dividing a 1 kg bag into 4 smaller portions of about .5 pound each. It would be really filling and very few calories compared to the amount of food I'd be eating Must go make DH lunch. |
