Hey CC Friends!

It's a fly-by night for me. Just popping in before I go pass out in bed. It was a good day. I worked at home and didn't have to bother with my nasty commute which always helps. TOM is about gone so I'm not starving to death! :dizzy: Had a great training session tonight and then DH and I decided to have family night (something we don't get enough of around here). We took the boys to Chuck-e-Cheese. Ugh...I normally hate that place and was dreading it a little...but it turned out great! It wasn't crowded at all, the boys were well behaved and had a blast. I made myself a nice big, healthy salad and had a very small slice of pizza. All in all it was a great day!

FB - I think you asked about my training sessions....I am still doing 3 days a week (M, W, Sat) with Frank/Heidi. The majority of the time my session is with Heidi. Frank and I squeeze in a session every couple weeks, but we talk several times a week. I wish I was with him more. I'm starting to think more and more about doing one session per week on my own...we'll see. Oh...I may start wearing my HRM a little more often just to see, but right now it's more for curiosity sake. A certified welder!? The things we all find out about each other are so much fun.

Jam - Your workouts always sound quite impressive and tire me out just reading them. :)

Kitty - Please don't stay away. Keep reporting in...good or bad. Hopefully we can help you swing more to the good side. :D

Howdy to the rest of my friends....gotta sleep...the alarm is going off in less than 7 hours.... :faint:

nicki rose98 01-22-2009 10:44 AM

Yeah me! I was a good girl yesterday. I got off at 3pm, changed my clothes, did my weights and then changed back and went downstairs to work. LOL. So happy to work in a gym and get a free membership. Woo hoo! Today my goal is cardio. I would like to hit the elliptical but I could always go home and do another Flirty Girl Fitness DVD. Today I would do "Chair Fun"!

Bratty - It's only an aerobics DVD but it's fun and sexy. It makes you feel sexy while you're doing it. The Chair Fun dvd gives you the steps so that you could perform a striptease using a chair if you wanted. LOL. They also have the pole dancing!!! I do want to try that but think I have to lose more weight first. It is so much fun!!!

Butterfly, good on you for getting hold of the liquid cals. My problem is my hot tea with milk and sugar. I've cut back on the sugar, and the tea, but I'm a long way from being a super angelic water drinker.

Barb, I haven't been to a chuck e. cheese since the 80s. Glad you had a good time and found something good to eat. My ds12 and I had some family time last night, as well. We played 2 games of Munchkin, then he got his internet time while we listened to a book on tape.

BBB, don't make me come over there. :kickbutt:

Nicki, I didn't know you work at a gym...how cool is that?!

My report:
Well, I was very, very close today, but still couldn't get out of the 180s. I was doing the scale shuffle and everything, but no dice! Maybe next week! I did get a new low, though, and down 0.4 from last week, so the good news is that I survived the bazillion cal dinner weight and still got a loss this week. :) 180.0 this morning. Gotta work legs today and some kind of cardio. I think the boy is gonna make me ride bikes to the library today, since he's got a book to return. I'm skerred of the bike!

Hi, My name is CAT and I live in Tennessee. I started my weight loss program on Jan 1, just like a kazillion other folks did. ;) May I please join y'all in the Valentine's Day challenge? :^: So far this year I have lost nearly 8 pounds and would like to lose another 3 by Valentine's day.

And where do I find a ticker to put in my posts? What a great way to keep track of where you are and where you want to go with our programs and goals.. :carrot:

 to everyone,
CAT

jamsk8r 01-22-2009 08:19 PM

Chubs, glad to hear that you're back OP, and congrats on the loose pants! :carrot:

Cat, :wel3fc:
You have to be a member for a minimum of 30 days and have 30 posts before you can add a ticker to your signature. They had to do this to keep spammers from joining up and barraging us with advertising. Just keep posting, and you'll get there before you know it. :) Good luck with your V-day challenge goal!

Flying by with a quick Howdy  to my CC friends!

The hubby and I are going to watch an episode of The Unit and then go to bed. Which actually means that we'll get comfy on the couch, start watching, I'll fall asleep and then I'll have to rewatch it another day. :p

Catch ya'll later! ;)

Cee8ee 01-22-2009 11:13 PM

Thanks for the welcome. I understand about the 30 day/30 posts.. but that will fly by in no time I am sure.

Hi Barb and Cat! Miss FB must be busy again. :chin:

I decided to try pulling the weight sled tonight, for my LB workout. I've seen the crossfit peeps do it, and have been curious just how much of a workout it could be. I tried running with it, but wasn't impressed, since the momentum made it easier to pull, as suspected. So, I walked laps around the front yard with it. Added 30 lbs, then upped it to 50 lbs. I pulled forward and also while walking backward. (that was a butt burner! I'll be interested to see if I'm sore tomorrow.) At any rate, it was fun to do something different, and seemed like a decent way to work all the leg muscles in one exercise. If it seems like it did anything, I'll try it again some time, and bump the weight up a bit next time, at least on the walking forward bits. Going backward was a whole other animal!

nicki rose98 01-23-2009 12:06 PM

Cee- waiting for my 30 days. I want to post a ticker SO bad. LOL!!!

Yeah my free gym membership comes in handy. It was bumming me out for a while because I actually felt silly working at a gym and being overweight. I kinda felt like people were looking at me thinking "and she works in a gym?" I'm paranoid like that. Just goes to show that I am unhappy with the way I look if I seem to think that others are looking at me thinking the same things I am. LOL.

Glad I decided to do something about it. I did my cardio yesterday. The elliptical for 30 min. On track for the week so far! I'm scheduled to do strength traning today....and I'm hoping it will happen. I get off at 3 and have to work at the restaurant tonight at 4pm. I'm gonna try and make it happen. At this point in time, keeping to my exercise schedule is more important than being to work on time. LOL.

dgramie 01-23-2009 01:55 PM

Im addicted to fat free hot dogs...LOL They really hit the spot when im cooking reg one for the little kids i keep. I dont feel cheated now.Cant wait to see if i lost anything this week at all.I have been OP all week and went back to more veggies the past few days.

jamsk8r 01-23-2009 09:51 PM

Workout is done. UB lifting, incline BP, Flies, One-arm rows w/different grips. FB, I tried your style, with just a warm-up, then lifting one weight for all sets. I liked that for lifting at home, since it was nice not to have to change weight on my DB bars every set. Felt like a good workout, too. I think I will keep doing that as long as I'm stuck lifting at home. :) I'm planning some crossfit style shoulder and abs torture for Sunday, so I just finished up with a few sets of curls, and did one of set of planks that Lydia on the WL board showed me. Tomorrow will be a long run again, or maybe the bike??, so I didn't do any running tonight. Still no 179 on the scale, but I'll just keep on keepin' on!
