Gotta run! Dh has another on campus interview this week (in New Mexico.) So I'm off to help him iron and pack.

Zenor if he gets it does it mean another move for you? I remember going through New Mexico when I was a kid, it was really neat and so much different from where I live. We actually went to Mexico for the day also. My grandparents lived in California so we traveled to near by places when we went to visit them.

Irish- I LOVE your hair!!! It's so cool looking!!!

Shy- LOL....you go girl!!!

sorry to keep this short, it's been one stressful day. I got harassed by one of our patients today, stress eating has got me. :tantrum: not mad about eating, but just the day, When it rains, it pours! Ugh! Talk to you all later!

Geez Tinky, we were in the same boat on the stress eating. TOM didn't help me any either. It was a bit of a shock and of course the one day I didn't where a panty liner. LOL! I could never work in the health care profession because people are to nasty to say the least.

Lara
Ok, I have thought it in the past but now I am totally sure. You need help my friend. Step away from the computer, pick up the phone and call your nearest mental heath professional. What do you mean dirt don't hurt lol. My family jokes about how no self respecting piece or dirt would come into my house. As you step through the door way into my house dirt jumps off screaming in terror and runs outside before you close the door lol.

femme
I love the fat free pringles and they fill a required amount in the bread and cereal group, keep that in mind lol.

GrammyL~ It might mean a move (again) or maybe not. DH has applied several places, including the job he's at now. It was a one year contract, but he's applied for the permanent position. He interviewed in New Orleans and he may interview in upstate NY as well. But I'd rather stay here or move to New Mexico if it were my choice. I'm not sure which I'd prefer. I like it here, but being in a larger city would be nice too. We'd be closer to a Trader Joe's in New Mexico. Of course, I guess I should just be happy when he gets a job regardless of where it is. ;) I've been really stressed lately. I hate not knowing whether we are moving or staying or what???? I think that's why I've been eating more lately. Luckily my weight hasn't fluctuated greatly (only up and down 1-2lbs~at least it keeps going down after it goes up.)

Hello Ladies-

For the oddest reason, I could not get on to the 3 Fat Chicks site at all yesterday. It said the connection timed out. Did that happen to anyone else?

Well I feel a lot better, I took yesterday off, which I planned on, but I was glad that it happened that way. Otherwise I would of called in. For anyone that doesn't know, I work with the elderly population. I've worked with all kinds, from Geripsyche patients, alzheimer's and dementia, senile everything, but never have I been grabbed inappropriately, well until Tuesday. So DF and I went to our comfort food source, which we don't go to often. It's called Old Country Buffet. LOL! Sad to say, I ended up feeling so sick and getting vertigo. Double whammy. Well anyways, I will get back on track as soon as I feel good doing so.

Zenor- New Mexico huh? I used to live in Albquerque, went to Middle School, graduated HS and then moved back to CA! Out of all the places I used to live, NM has to be one of my favorites!

GrammyL- Stress eating, it feels good going in, but the side effects are no fun. LOL! I don't even want to be at work today. Oh well, I will get better soon. I hope you feel better, don't feel bad, you have someone also stress eating boat too!

Irish- Good for you!!! That's wonderful!

Shy- Thanks for the support! I will get better, it just takes me a couple of days. It's been a while since something this astronomical has happened.

Well I'm going to try to get into the groove of work. LOL Have a nice day everyone!

Sorry ladies but I have been down. I just did the quick post yesterday because my world was shattered. I turned the issues of DD over to DH and I let him do what he had to do no matter how it hurt. Boy does it still hurt. Long and short of it, she tried to use my GS as blackmail. I could keep him as long as I did what she wanted but if we didn't we had to bring him home, it didn't work with DH. We took our GS home yesterday and we are no longer taking him, no even on weekends for a while because mine and GS bond is more like Mother and Son and it needs broken or she is going to continue to use him in this manner. She has been doing it now since he was born. She was strutting around like a peacock when I dropped him off thinking she is big and tough. We will see how big and tough she is when she doesn't have her cigs, diapers, formula, food, phone, electricity, water, or even a place to live. See I have been paying all her bills and buying her cigs. My Mom has been taking food over their when they run out. She is cut off from all assistance from everyone and even her state assistance has been slashed because she didn't play by their rules. It is hard but like I told DH it had to happen and time will heal all pain. We are headed up north tomorrow afternoon for DH and me time something we haven't had in almost a year because we have GS every weekend. All I can do is pray that GS will be alright and she will make sure he is fed, diapers changed (he will take them off if she doesn't), hit to hard or just as bad locked in his room.

Thats I have to say about it or I will start crying again. Anyway, I should start losing weight because I don't feel like eating. LOL! Has to be a bright side right? HAHAHAHA! Sorry, that is just me I deal with pain through laughter and jokes. I am trying to look at what I get to do now instead of thinking about what I have lost.

Talk to you all tomorrow. XOXOXOX!

bargoo 03-27-2008 05:08 PM

Lara, congratulations on making such a tough decision. When your DD realizes she has lost her enabler she may shape up.Hoping so , anyway. I know parents want to help their children even when they are grown up,,but the time comes when they have to start being responsible.

Shy Moment 03-27-2008 08:11 PM

Laura
It was a tough thing to do but it had to happen. We do cause people to not be responsible with to much help. Maybe this will make her appreciate when people help her more. I know it is so hard on you. I am glad your husband is able to be tough enough to do what had to be done. We sometimes wonder how people can treat those that love them and do all they can for them the way people do.

Tinky
I haven't not been able to connect but it has taken so long to go from page to page I have given up at times.

zenor
With the way work is these days I am sure the pressure and stress on you is tremendous. I hope the hubby finds a good job and you can also like where you will be living.

Oh I found a great yummy. No pudge brownies. A single serving is 2 tbs of the mix and 1 tbs of fat free vanilla yogurt. Oh my gosh is it good. I still have to plan for it because it is a bit high in carbs but oh so worth watching the carbs to have it :)

Tinky~ Albuquerque is actually the city we would live in if he gets and accepts this job. I've heard the mountains around there are beautiful.

im doing pretty good i have lost 1.1 pounds this week despite all the damn chocolate.. Which cruel person decided easter was the time to give out chocolate anyway??? lol It is my number one weekness and i blew over 300 calories a day on it for 4 days before i had a magor dummy spit at my self and stopped.. lol Will Power ... i have none.. lol.

So anyway i stayed stayed on my exercise plan all week and i think that is why i still manged to lose weight since my calories were too high.
I started using Calorie king and i fell into a trap with it.. It take off the Calories burned so you can eat more .. huh.. not good I decided to try doing it that way for a while.. and my weight loss really slowed down to a point where i started thinking whats the point.. and then got back into bad habits for 2 weeks .. luckily i gained back only 5 pounds that i have spent the last two weeks getting rid of.. and now im back where i was before i got off track.. ( there were other things going on to i was sick and stressed but im not making excuses, I DID IT!)
So anyway i went back through my records today for when i was losing a nice amount each week so im going back to that .. im gonna go back to 1900 calories and im going to continue my daily workouts of 30-45 minute elliptical or aerobics 7 days a week with 2 x30 sessions of free weights a week . When i was doing this beofre i was losing 2-3 pounds a week no probs..

So anyway my name is Amy and im 27 i live in Adelaide South Australia , with my kids Cameron and Leah and my hubby too sometimes as well .. lol He visits at the moment most of his clothes are here and all of his belongings but he is only here 1 week then is away for 4 weeks so is kinda not living here .. LMAO .. ohh im being mean he is working away from home He is at the furthexct point away from us on australia that he could possily get .. lol he is practicly in indonsia lmao.. He is working in Nhulumbuy in a aluminum plant that is out on a land bridge in the ocean up there lol . I have just sent him a laptop and last night was the first time the kids got to see there daddy online . we both got webcams so it was really fun..

well anyway its great to be in your chat :) and i wish you all well when i have read though all the posts it'll be good lol

Nice going on the weight loss. Chocolate is the down fall of many a person lol. I do understand the hubby working away. Mine would do that for weeks at a time sometimes. It can be rough. You want to make sure you are taking a day off a week from exercise. The body needs the rest and muscles need time to mend and grow. Don't worry about yesterday except to learn from it. Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life. Make it a good one. Get the required amounts of the four basic food groups eaten. Stay within some good ranges for yourself and don't eat back what you burn off. I have never found that to be profitable as far as weight loss goes. Nice to have you with us.
