Yesterday I danced A LOT. Which made up for the 1800 calorie day with midnight trip to Perkins. It was worth it.
And today I'm sick :( I had a bowl of ice cream for lunch and am currently eating a yogurt. Probably won't want anything else. Orange juice would make me happy but it would also require leaving my apartment to buy some. Oh well. |
about the eating late at night...i agree that it is perfectly fine to have a snack if you are feeling hungry, as you all said, its good to keep your metabolism going. just make sure it isnt too high in calories, i usually try having carrots or a grapefruit. i actually feel like it is better to plan on eating a late night snack because then i dont feel like i have to totally stuff myself at dinner so that i can make it through the night. its always better to have more smaller meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going.
had a good day today :) ran to crew practice, although we only rowed for a total of about 20 minutes. total calories: 1034 lots of homework to do and getting up at 6 tomorrow! |
hey everyone
i haven't posted in 4-5 days...i, uh...took a little 'time off' from my weight loss efforts and 'new lifestyle' :) i see a bunch of new faces since i last wrote...yea! (well, as much as you can 'see' new faces on a computer :) ) stressful week of grad school midterms for me..and when i am stressed or want to procrastinate studying, i eat! , but i'm ready to jump back ON the wagon :) great job this past week everyone....i've read quite a few awesome posts! keep it up! |
Good Morning! I was over 1700 cals yesterday.
Walking opportunities just kept cropping up ... so I took them. I think I ran out 4 or 5 times, for something. It was lovely. |
Good morning everyone. Thanks for the words of support. I somehow salvaged the day and stayed at about 1300 calories. It wasn't easy though, I really had to fight some urges. Something I have not had to deal with for awhile. I'm back on track after having a rough few days. I will be real happy when I get a few good days under my belt and start a new cycle of "good" behavior. We shall see. I am sure this will be my first week since starting this journey that I will not have a weightloss, most likely will have a gain. Such is life. I've got to move on and not dwell. The worst part about it is the weather here is atrocious again, been like that since Monday, so I haven't gotten in my outdoor walking and I miss it terribly.
Have a great day everyone, healthy and safe. |
Calories for Wednesday: 1081
Fat: 21g (19%) Carbs: 169g (58% ) Fiber: 28g Protein: 57g (23%) A little low on calories on fiber, but hey the weekend is coming up so I know it will all balance out. Trying to keep it clean and low because my friend is having a b'day party at ESPN Zone this Saturday. Guess what???!!! MY INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL TEAM WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!! It was a close game and it went into over time. We ended up winning by one point. Great game, and I was so happy because my husband played on the team with me. Chloeone, what grad school do you go to? What are you studying? I am in grad school at Northwestern University studying civil engineering. Are you going for your Masters or PhD? Robin, good job of taking back control. What helped you get back on track? There's nothing to it but to do it. It's okay to have a few off days. Remember when you are calorie counting it will all eventually balance out. Has anyone heard of Whirlyball? My husband is planning my 27th b'day party at a Whiryball place. Lot of work to do today. So I won't be on again until tomorrow or later on tonight. Have a great day ladies. Oh yeah, I got my first weight loss compliment yesterday from someone other than my husband! I was told that my curves are looking good and they can tell I've been working out. Yeah! |
Robin, you're doing great! Those few days of indulgence may have brought on the cravings, but you're getting back on track. Good for you!
Yesterday: Calories 1415 (not too bad considering the wine I drank) Fat 22% Carbs 37% Protein 21% Alcohol 21% Today, salads for lunch and dinner. My weight is going down, but still not at ticker weight. I should be there tomorrow. Then the goal is to keep it down all weekend. What shall I plan to do to insure that? Hmmmm, stay away from home at lunch (DH likes fast food). I guess that means I'll have to go SHOPPING!!! I need to anyway, next weekend is our annual birthday bash and I need to buy 8 or 10 birthday cards. Have a great day everyone! |
good morning!
rai- congratulations on winning your basketball championship!! awesome job! also congrats on getting your first weight loss compliment; i LOVE getting those haha. robin- also good job for keeping yourself from losing control and going further downhill. its so hard to not just give up once you've broken your diet, but you managed to pull through and get back on track, which is somethng to be proud of even if you dont end up losing weight this week. i weighed myself this morning and i was surprised to find lost 2 lbs! :) hopefully this loss will continue... |
Rai-Whirlyball is great fun! You break into teams then ride around in bumper cars while passing a small ball in a "mini-lacrosse stick type, hand held thing." You try to score on the other team while slamming into eachother in the bumper cars.....you'll have a good time.
As you guys know, I am still new at this so I have a lot of questions. Does anyone count calories on a weekly total or do most of you go by a daily number? Also, how many times a week do you weigh? I can't look at that scale anymore, it's like watching water boil. I was thinking about weighing once a week. Thanks. |

Well another day . I am happy to report i am back down to 210 since getting back from holidays. It was hard getting back into the counting . Went over last night (couldnt say no to the wine) but i have been right on the numbers for the start of the week . I have been eating a lot of smart ones frozen lunches but i need to switch , any good lunch ideas out there( that are easy to take to work?) Hope everyone has a great day!!
|
I'm relatively new here, so "Hi" everyone.
Calories for Wednesday: 1535 That's a little higher than I'd like, but not too far off. I'm trying to stay inbetween 1400 and 1500 per day. I did take our puppy for a walk last night. It wasn't my usual mile and a half walk, but something is better than nothing. I too weight myself everyday (mainly to keep focused), but I don't expect to see any progress until the weekends. For me weight loss usually shows on the scale on either Friday or Saturday morning. |

I usually try to make enough dinner the night before to take for lunch, but on the days I don't I like to make low-cal wraps with La Tortilla tortillas. I'm sure others have posted about these. They are only 50 cals for the small ones and 80 cals for the big ones. I'll stuff them with turkey, veggies, and a little non-fat mayo. I also like to bake corn tortillas and break them up for "chips". |
Raj, I do believe you will be taking Chi Town by storm come summer. Heading out there soon to see my parents... would love to meet you!
Miz Claudia ;-)... weather man says we're hitting 50 soon. That means I'm hitting NYC soon. I'll let you know when... Yesterday's calories were 1455. Lfweens, I'm a big believer in the zig zag method of calorie counting. One day higher, next day lower. It's the only way I can enjoy ALL the foods I like... cheesecake, merlot, M&Ms, junk like that. At the end of the week, as long as I'm under 8400 calories, it's been good. I also noticed that if my calories were higher on Monday, I'd run better on Tuesday. Yet another reason to zig zag. Yesterday I met a friend for drinks at a local restaurant and it was hot in there. I took off my sweater and exposed my arms and he said, and I quote, "wow... you have great delts". Damn, girls! This stuff really pays off. So, of course, I didn't FULLY believe him (because men say ANYTHING to score points) but when I got home (ALONE) and stood in front of my mirror with my shirt off, I could SEE the tricep (horseshoe) muscle and yep... the delts are fly! I am so, so happy, guys. All that hard work is paying off, but again I say, I'm not going through this ever again. Once I get this fat off, I'm sticking with my calorie counting and I'm sticking with my training. It's easier to maintain than it is to abstain. |
Yes, I am feeling sooo much better today. I just kinds STOPPED and thought about what I was doing. And realized I hated what I was doing. I wanted to go back to the NEW me, not the OLD me. I still have soo much weight to lose and I don't want that to stop. It's much more important to me then any of this stupid food that's around me. I just needed time to rethink and refocus. I'm sure it will happen over and over and over again. It's an ongoing, never ending process.
lfweens, I used to weigh every day and drive myself crazy. Then I switched to once a week. But the truth of the matter is I am back to once a day, in the morning before my shower. I only record it though on Mondays. This helps to keep me more sane when I see fluctuations during the week. I count calories on a daily basis. I usually am higher on the weekends though. Every day is not the exact amount for me. I also kinda zig zag. Jubee, I'm glad you're back down to 210. For lunch how about a big salad with a cut up grilled chicken cutlet. Or a small can of tuna in water, with some multi grain rice cakes and some cut up veggies, like cucumber spears or red pepper strips. Now Diva, do you really think a guy would like about your delts? Other things maybe, but your delts? Anyway, I am glad you are so happy. You sound great. It's good to hear you that way again. |
Morning all.
I went a little overboard yesterday. I was ravenous (thanks PMS) and needed to eat anything salty and then topped it off with chocolate. Today I'm fine, but I'm fighting a lot of stress right now. I have so much to get done before Friday (papers, readings, blah), and I'm freaking out that I won't get it done. However, I will not resort to food but just lots of coffee. Have a good day everyone. |
Robin,
From the waist up, I am a Volkswagon Luv Bug. From the wasit down, I am a Mack Truck. It's the Spanish thing. Think J-Lo. I had this butt before she even splashed on the scene with hers. LOL I weigh myself DAILY and record it DAILY. I even record the times on my spreadsheet. When I see a number stick three consecutive days, I know that's my true weight. You can weigh daily IF psychologically you can deal with the fluctuations. I love doing it this way. I can see numbers go up, look at FitDay for the previous day, and see the correlation between sodium intake and weight gain. It's all water. If I didn't look at it every day, I wouldn't see the pattern and then I would get bummed out. I "stuck" at 140.5 for five whole weeks in January. It was crazy. Then I gave up the deli meat (turkey) and voila... dropped to 135 and held it. I also log how much water I take in. Anything under 42 ounces for the day and the number stays up there. Throw me at the half-gallon mark, and I'm flushing all that sodium out. Either that, or I'm burning extra calories running to the potty every hour. So as anti-scale as I was, I learned how to use it as an informational tool and now it has become my best friend. As for that horrible feeling of failure that you're feeling, Robin, I can totally relate. Not in the food department but in the smoking department. It is a feeling of guilt, worry, shame, confusion, defeat, powerlessness, failure, and all it does is lend itself to a gloomy feeling of self-defeat. It is a constant struggle for me to not throw the baby out with the bath water. But my mom keeps reminding me that the harder the struggle, the greater the reward. And I keep hanging on to that. Because come **** or high water, this is the year I lick that demon forever, and this is your year too. In the meantime, we keep falling off the bike and we keep climbing back on. It's all about getting our balance and keeping our eye on the road. Don't ever lose faith, Rockin' Robin. And remember what William Durant said! ;-) PS - I will have to pose a picture of my delts for you to appreciate what I'm talking about. Also... he saw nothing else and he had to say SOMETHING! LOL |

My non-exercising brain is trying, trying to come up with a plan of attack. I want to work out, I want to get back in shape, but I don't want to do it alone. I have to plan something out. |
Hey guys.
So my calorie count yesterday was 1800 on the button (I almost thought I'd gone over, but upon calculating it I found I had done the math wrong in my head.) Diva, I'm amazed at how much in control of the scale you are. It's so refreshing. I myself can't weigh in, I just find it depressing, which is why I measure. Even when I did weigh in, I never weighed in daily... When I was a preteen I did that, and it was a blow to my self esteem. Robin, good for you, it can be so hard to get over those blah/bad/old feelings. :) I know because today I've faced my old feelings of no motivation and tiredness. And you're right, it is a total round about thing, those feelings will return. We just have to be okay with that and move forward. Jubee, awesome! It's always so hard to get back on track after a "break". If you go off for one day, it's hard, but after several... But you stuck to it and that's great. |
rfweens- i wouldnt count your calories by week because then that might lead your metabolism to slow down; if you have a lot one day and then try to make up for it by barely having anythng the next, your body will think it is fasting. you are probably better off counting your calories by day so that you can keep your metabolism up at a good pace by eating throughout the day. as for when to weigh in, i try to do it every few days just so that i can make sure that i am making progress and doing the diet the right way. when i find that i am not losing weight after a few days i then know that i have to change something, and this way i have not wasted the whole week going on not realizing that i am not losing weight.
zenor- welcome! athenac- stay strong!! it is really hard to get through a stressful time without giving into the temptation and comfort of eating, but just keep your goal in mind, you can do it! calories today: 1266, a little higher than i would have liked but i had a long day. i am going to go on a trip to georgia with my crew team for training all of next week and i am really afraid that i am going to break my diet. the other girls eat so much junk food! it will be so tempting. i am defnitely going to keep a pack of gum at my side at all times, but it is going to be difficult. |
calories: too many!
rai: I am in pharmacy school at the University of Minnesota...so if anyone has any medication questions let me know (just kidding, I'm only in my first year...I don't know much yet :) ). civil engineering?? wow. that sounds really hard and not fun to me! ps congrats on your bball championship...i played bball in undergrad :) syncrosweetie: did you start out eating so few calories right away? or have you cut down calories more since you started your 'diet'? (does that make sense?) i ask because we are approx the same starting weight (well, i am still pretty much there) but i know if i tried to eat 1200 cal/day right now i would be hungry all day. just wondering. lfweens: this is the first time i noticed your picture, just wanted to let you know that i think you are gorgeous! |
hi everyone.
The sun woke me up, it was so nice to see sun all day. more of that coming. I was up early today. Threw my day off. Ate breakfast early. 2 pc. turkey bacon, 1/4 egg beaters, 1/4 hash browns, leftover from hubby. and 1 pc. wheat toast with fake spray butter,(no cal.) lunch. Made a chicken stir fry today. Ate with 1/2 brown rice. lots of veggies in it! dinner. Ate At my son's house, he made some kind of chicken casserole, :cofdate: no idea how many cal. etc. I made a guess. It is nice to have someone else cook ;) played With my granddaughter. Nah... I not attached to her! came home and ate a bunch of carrot sticks with a fiber one bar. peanut butter and 4 rice crisps. total cal. about 1250. went to curves again today. Weighed in. lost 1 1/2 lbs. my first weigh official in. |
GOOD morning everyone!
Diva, you are too funny. Mack truck? I highly doubt it. Man, you're hard on yourself. I'm not gonna lose faith Diva, you too. I mean we just CAN'T and yeah, Mr. Durant said it all, didn't he? Thanks to everyone. I am glad to report I am back on track and it's a GOOD place to be - Thurdays's calories -about 950. I know I don't need to tell you calorie counters this, but what the heck. Yes, it's a tad low, but after having a few days of well not so low days I needed to get that number down nice and low. The weekend is here, it won't stay low for very long. Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary and lo and behold all 3 of my kids are sleeping out tonight, totally unplanned and random. How cool is that? We've got the whole house to ourselves, such a freakin' rarity. And no we're not going out to celebrate our anniversary. We're staying home. I am making a delicious healthy meal for dinner tonight. First stop this morning will be the lingerie store. I feel like buying myself something pretty, something I haven't done in oh I don't know 17 years or so. Have a great and healthy and safe day everyone. |
1700 calories again yesterday. Not really good food but ...
I've been quickly scrolling this morning. I'm going to fix myself a coffee and have a good read here in just a minute. Nice to have a quiet morning to do that. |
Estimated Calories for Yesterday:
Total Cal: 1243 Fat: 26g (19%) Carbs: 191g (56% ) Fiber: 25g Protein: 74g (25%) Theresa: Good job on the weightloss! How old is your granddaughter? Chloeone: You think civil engineering is hard? Man, I could not imagine specializing in pharamacy. Too much memorization for me. Give me an equation, and I can devive it. Yep. But don't ask me to memorize 10,000 formulas. Nope, I just can't do it. How do you like Minnesota? Are you originally from there? My husband made some curry chicken last night. Both our parents are from the West Indies, so we're trying to find ways to eat our traditional foods but make them slightly healthier. Curry chicken is relatively healthy. I've been making it with chicken breast, but the breast does not have as much flavor (and moisture) as the thighs and legs. So last night, I told my husband he can use legs an thighs, but he has to take the skin off of it first. He said okay. Next thing I want to tackle is making rice and peas. It's just that there's so much coconut milk, that I don't know if I can get the same flavor without the coconut, but the coconut has sooo many calories. 3 days have gone by since my last workout. I've been bogged down with work. I hope I can make it to the gym this evening and get a run in. I have a dentist appointment this afternoon. I'm always scared that he's going to find 20 new cavities or tell me I need a root canal or something. Gotta go. |
I'm in a bit of a mood today. Oh it's a good mood, honest.
It's not that I've been particularly good. I haven't. Although I have exercised ... it's been spotty, short sessions without much sweat. I'm averaging around 1500 cals but percentages are out the window. All that seems to be at cross purposes with my motto. And yet ... I'm losing about 3/4 lbs a week and shrinking nicely. I'm encouraged by this ... for me and on behalf of those who don't know where to start. You don't have to do everything perfectly or even right. There's room for error. There's room for improvement. Yes, I'm encouraged by that. |
Arghhh....Calories yesterday were just about 1,000. Day before 1294. Weighed in this morning at 142 -- exactly where I was 2 weeks ago, and then last week I gained .25, so I guess I lost 1/4 lb. I exercised 4 days this work -- good workouts, trying to do intervals, lots of sweat. Also lifted 2x and dranks lots of water. I FEEL a little smaller and pants are a little looser, so I was disappointed that the scale didn't reflect that. I'm doing a biggest loser thing at work, and it's frustrating that I feel like I am doing well, but the scale is moving so VERY VERY slowly. I'm going to stay on track this weekend and hope to be down a couple lbs. next week.
Good job Susan B... and everyone else. I'm hoping for a good week next week |
walking2lose .... never never forget that smaller is good. Scale measurements are only one tool. I'm extraordinarily happy that you are smaller.
|
Good Morning GANG!
I haven't posted for a few days because my computer CRASHED! I purchased a new HP Vista, it's only been out on the market for two weeks. Hope they got all the tweaks out of it. I'll make this short since I'm so far behind. Yesterday's menu is low again because I spent most of the day downloading programs. Calories...904 Fat...12% Fiber...51 grams Breakfast: Vitamin Mix ~ Fiber One ~ Applesauce w/Cool Whip. (It's a good thing I love Applesauce since I make and freeze all the apples on our trees) Lunch: Turkey breast on low cal bread, lettuce & mustard ~ SF Pudding with C.W. Supper: Chicken Vegetable soup (When I make a batch of soup we live on it for a few days, it sure comes in handy.) FF Cottage Cheese Evening snack ~ 100 Calorie bag Popcorn Bedtime ~ Calories too low so I ate more Applesauce/C.W. sprinkled with Fiber One and a glass of milk. Babs... Nice to see someone on this thread in their 60's, I'm 61 and turn 62 the end of May. I'm glad you enjoyed my Maxine joke, I usually change it everytime I change my ticker but my weight has taken a nose dive lately. Jubee, Ifweens & Zenor :welcome: Angie... We eat popcorn most nights and it doesn't slow my weight losses. :corn:I printed out the article you posted about the colon cleanse, are the cup of fresh grated beets raw? I'm going to try this, we have lots of frozen beets in the freezer but they are all blanched. Rai... Good idea about taking your picture, I wish I'd thought of that at the beginning of my diet. How did you do that, stand in front of a mirror or have someone else take it? Diva... You've been so informative lately, thanks! Quote:
Theresa... Shoveling snow works magic on the scale. I sometimes get "Cabin Fever" and it's so refreshing to get outside, even if it's shoveling snow. Greeting to all the other posters, this thread is just too long to post to everyone. Bobbi |
Good morning!
Calories yesterday: 1216 Fat 24% Carb 32% Protein 19% Alcohol 25% (darn that wine) Plan for today: light breakfast (drinking a banana/yogurt/milk shake) light lunch (salad or sandwhich somewhere) fish for dinner (DD is working so I can fix fish!) Bobbi~how do you like Vista? Have a great day everyone! |
Yesterday's calories were 745 with 12% coming from fat. Ran 4+ miles and had a killer chest/triceps workout.
The ex posted a personals page at MY site. Dweeb! I know he did because we can see who has looked at us and there he was! Couldn't believe my eyes. So yeah... wept a bit this morning over it, and was shaking as I was reading it last night while at work. A week ago I would have crawled under the covers and died. Today, I'm hitting the gym instead. And that's a lot of progress! |
Chloeone thank you so much for the compliment! Everyone on this thread is so nice. I am really enjoying reading and posting. Thanks for making a newbie feel welcome.
I heard on the radio this AM that today has been dubbed "get over it day". There is even a website (getoveritday.com) where people can proclaim what they have decided to 'get over'. I have decided to get over the fact that I look so overweight and unhealthy in my recent family vacation photos. The pictures with me in them are painful to look at. It has been killing me this past week. I just keep staring at the pictures wishing I had taken the photo so it wasn't "ruined" with my chubby butt! But today, I am over it. I am moving on. Those pics are part of the reason why I started counting calories last week. Those photos will become my "before pictures"! |
getoveritday.com. Pretty cool. I like the song by Ok Go, too.
Don't know what I need to get over, though. Maybe my self defeating behavior! |
chloeone- i try to keep my calories between 1000 and 1200 calories a day because i have found that that is the amount that i need to have in order to lose weight (usually 2-3 pounds a week). whenever i have had more, i have trouble losing weight. i tried making my limit 1500 but i only lost half a pound over the one week, so i try making my limit lower. however, everyone's needs differ; you should experiment and see how much you can have and still lose weight. if i were you i would start out making your limit 1500 for a week and see what happens, and if you dont lose weight bring the limit down to 1200 or so. yes, you may be hungry the first few days because your metabolism is used to having 2000 or whatever amount of calories that you had before, but you will adjust quickly. you should probably also try to eat foods that are low in calories but fill you up like veggies or grilled chicken. i also find it helpful to eat more throughout the day so that i am never really hungry but also never really full, and also my metabolism can stay at a good pace.
walking2lose- i hope that you can move out of your plateau! it must be frustrating, but just be patient. maybe you can try eating different types of foods like more protein? i dont really know why people plateau, but if it goes on you can try asking for advice about it from an expert. also, susan makes a good point - even though the scale says that you arent losing weight, you can still be getting thinner. maybe you are gaining muscle? leaving for warm georgia in 4 hours! 18 hour bus ride YEAHHH |
Susan and Sychr -- thanks so much for encouragement!!!
Yes, smaller is better. I would have loved to have been down today, but I guess I need to "Get over it!" :-) Thanks for that lfweens! I am a natural optimist and tend to look on the bright side of things, so I have been telling myself that maybe it's muscle. I just don't want to lie to myself. But, also on a positive note, I know seeing 142 for 3rd week in a row will keep me very focused OP this weekend! So that's good. Bobbi -- hope you are enjoying your new toy! Happy Friday everyone... I'm so ready for the weekend!! |
Last 2 weeks I didn't loose anything!!! Maybe TOM because thats just about done....I have noticed that my scale the body fat % is going down and the water % is going up...weight is the same...I'm not sure how reliable that is, and I've only had this scale for about a month....
I dont think I'm going to make it to my Easter goal :( I'm not loosing as fast as I was but doing all the same.... |
Everyone is so nice on this forum! I love how supportive everyone is!
Calories for yesterday: 1445 (yay!) I walked a mile and a half on my lunch too. I try to do it at least three times a week, but it doesn't always happen. I was surprised that I made it under 1500. I made vegetable curry for dinner last night, which isn't bad, but we also had naan (180 cals for one.) Sometimes I can't control myself and I eat too much and then other days I amaze myself and eat an actual portion. Who knew I had any will-power at all? Hopefully I can control myself tonight. We are going out with friends to a resturant that makes incredible flatbread style pizzas. There will probably be a couple bottles of wine on the table too. I figure if I can limit myself to one small glass of wine and if I take half my food home it'll be okay. |

Hi, Rai just wanted to say that when I cook chicken, I use white meat, don't like the dark meat. A lot of times I put 1/2 pk of taco seasoning on 1 lb. of chopped up chicken, it is great over a salad, with taco sauce. My fav! :D I could eat this almost every other day. My granddaughter is 20 months old, she is tiny. weighs 18 lbs. Played with her all afternoon again. :D Man! your ladies all sound so busy! I guess my weight problems lately have been that I recently retired. Now I need to get some things to do and maybe I will lose more weight. Where do you all find the energy? Whirlyball sounds like fun! wish I lived close to a big city. The only real activities here are gyms. I also count my calories daily. sometimes counted on fitday before I eat. keeps my from going over. Also want to say CONGRATS to all the big losers, keep up the work! My biggest problem I am having... getting the calories I am told to get... without getting to much fat and carbs. I guess I am a very picky eater. Just like my kids were. ;) I have been trying to bring up my protein, with-out the fat. I have to go to the next couple of towns over, to buy a protein drink. Has any one tried the one from Curves? Whats the best one? Rockinrobin, Congrats on the anniversary! Wow! no kids, I remember those days. I still have one at home. Seems like you never have the special time alone. Hope you found something real cute to wear. Susan, What are you reading? I love to read too. sounds like you are doing something right if you are loosing that much every week. Bobbie, hows the weather up there, It was just wonderful here in Ohio. 53 degrees and sunny! I can get used to that! I looked at the hp vista too. just got the regular one with xp. last month. how do you like the Vista? Oh, just to let you know, I am behind you in age. Not much. I will be 50 in July. Your not getting older, just better! ;) one other question, Does it count as water if you put Crystal light in it? its just 5 calories. sure makes drinking that much easier. :dizzy: got 64 oz. today. calories today about 1200, need to find some protein! have a nice one. Theresa. |
Today's calories at 1496 with 27% coming from fat. Went to the gym and did 3.7 miles on hills, plus back and biceps.
Tomorrow we thaw out in New England and I can't wait to start running in 50-degree weather. Next 5K race - March 18! |
Hi Diva, Bobbi, Rockin Robin, Allison and everyone else on the CC March Chat!
I've been a bit busy to post lately, but staying on track. Down 3 pounds in the last week and a half after 3 weeks at a plateau. Finally got my elliptical today so I hope to get my work outs going again. I tend to get sick of the gym and will take a break for a few weeks. Well, hoping to get back there next week. But I've been good with the calories and its been working! Robin, I will guess that Diva's "mack-truck" reference was not meant to be self-deprecating. Some of us (possibly you included) like a big butt (LOL excuse the graphics). I'm really worried because mine seems a tad flatter since I had the baby. It used to be really big and round. Anyway, spanish guys love that, so since Diva's half Dominican I can see why this would be a good thing :). Gotta love it. Anyway, more of my fat is in my stomach now instead of on my *** (still a lot there but more on the stomach..grrrrr). I'm hoping at the end of this all I'll have my normal shape back, its not the popular thin model type shape but I sure liked it [and so did some hot guys..LOL]. Ah, I've got DH now anyway. Diva, looking forward to hanging out in the city when it gets warmer. That is absolutely devastating for you to see this guy's profile online. What a jerk to go on the same site..que beecho. LOL You held it together though and you've been going out and having fun, so good for you. And yes, please post the delt pics. As to the scale, I'm an everyday weigher because the fluctuations really mean nothing to me. Once I hit a new low, I view that as my new weight regardless. Yeah, the scale may go up again by a few pounds but I KNOW it will come right back to my new low so I don't sweat it at all. Its all mental. In fact, I cannot wait to get on the scale in the morning, even when I know it might be high (OK, on those days I'm not half as eager :)). Later girls. :) |
