Hi everyone

Echo, thank you for starting the exercise and food log, love it!

Gatorgirl, are you drinking lots of water? I wish I knew what else to suggest. Hang in there, I know it's frustrating though.

Finished my workout this morning and am determined to have a good day food wise.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

I forgot to mention I had a great victory today. I was shopping with DH and MIL and on the way home they were munching out on potato chips and cheese puffs. I thought I was going to have a total munchie melt-down. I even put my face in the chip bag and snorted in as much of the aroma as I could but I didn't put one crumb of the offending junk in my mouth because I knew I'd succumb to the chips and be their slave for the rest of the day. I went home and cooked a good and wholesome supper and have enough calories left-over to have a cup of grapes for dessert.

I rarely resist potato chips.

I couldn't before because we didn't have cable tv but we do now so I'm going to ride my bike while the show is on.

sorry to be personal,. and please don't be offended, but are you getting enough fiber. i just know for me, if i dont have regular bowel movements on a daily basis, the undigested foods adds "weight" to my weight!

i think what you're doing is great, if you're working out hard, thats good that you've upped your calorie intake. i heard that sometimes your body just needs time to adjust to the new weight and recalibrate, and then you will see a drop. the changes that are happening inside your body for a weight loss wont show up as fast on the scale, but if you're eating healthy and exercising, it will show eventually!

keep going, you're doing great!

Gatorgirl-have you increased the amount of exercise or the intensity? Or maybe TOM is nearing?

Retire-Great job on keeping your hand out of the bag! Way to go on getting the scale to move.

Sweet-whats Bikram Yoga?

Diva- Last Chance workouts sound great. Can't wait for the show to start.

Echo-Thanks for setting up the exercise and food thread. I've been having trouble eating healthy and posting daily I think will help me think twice before putting something in my mouth!

Must confess, I was a lil naughty last night. I went out with the girls and over indulged a bit. I didn't eat much during the day to make up for what I was going to consume last night. The scale didn't change this morning and trying to make sure to get lots of water today.

Gotta go for now, J is now mobile and is getting into everything

Dream- TOM is a couple weeks out still, but I have increased both the amount and intensity of exercise recently. I just don't see how that could result in a gain.

Echo- Don't worry, I am not easily offended. I love that this is one place where I can be totally open. There was a small problem with irregularity right when the weight gain came on. I bought fiber pills and that fancy yogurt. I am definitally getting enough fiber now. I am still a little irregular. Maybe its just a combination of that and some water weight. I guess, only time will tell. I just have to try to stick to my plan even though the scale makes it seem pointless.

I have decided to not weigh again till friday. It will be tough, but I think it will keep my mind in the right place. This process is not about the numbers. I am going to spend this week focusing on staying in calories and active. Monday-Friday seems like a good short time to focus on. I am going to the gym all 5 days. I am going to drink at least 3 liters of water (which is 1 liter more than Im drinking now) and restrict myself to certain 'good' foods. I will write out the next days meal plan the night before and stick to that plan.

Hopefully this will help.

i have such a hard time getting enough cals when i give up fast food and soda. i have already had dinner and i am at 1039 according to daily plate. oh well, maybe later this evening ill have a couple 100 cal snacks lol.
didnt exercise much as the antibiotics make me feel so icky i dont even want to get up. i did clean out my closet, vacuum the living room and i wait on mom, so i do get up and move a lil lol.
im looking forward to ending the antibiotics and starting this challenge and seeing the lbs drop.. hope everyone is having a good day

gatorgirl- I could be wrong but with the increase in your activity level maybe your muscles are adjusting to the increase causing your body to retain water. I would imagine that once your body adjusts that the weight will come off. Has anyone else heard of this?

Okay - truth time! I had a wicked all-day eat-a-thon accompanied by a huge emotional breakdown. First time in MONTHS that I've fallen into the emotional eating trap. Live and learn, right?

Tomorrow I have a plan for all my meals, and I've got a date with the elliptical at the gym.

gatorgirl, Dream710 is right! Your muscles will want to hang onto the water while they adjust to being used. They should let go but sometimes it takes a couple of weeks......basically it depends on your body. Stay off the scales is my advice.....I get upset with my self when I don't do as well as I want to.

Hey teamies!

This thread has got SOOO much going on. I am popping in to kind of mark my spot. I had great intentions of catching up... but for the good of the team I am going to get a good nights sleep instead. I promise from here on our to keep up!

PRACTICE ~ We must have been on the same plan today. Unfortunately my breakdown occured in my head and all emotion was held in to avoid spoiling kids' birthdays. Even Ice Cream cake couldn't make me happy (thats bad!). New week for me mentally tomorrow... food is planned like you. Lets do tha dang thing!

Enjoy your sundays ladies and I'm up for a kick up week if you are!

Hello fellow blue teamers !!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

We had a really good weekend with much visiting and having fun with friends.

We did a bunch of walking yesterday and managed to take the dogs to the offleash park and get another walk in today.

Even though we went out to eat a couple of times I ate well and feel so much better because of it.

Only took a week to lose the water weight plus a bit extra I put on in Vegas so I'm feeling fresh and ready to go for this challenge !!

Talk to you all soon !

Leslie
