Well, I'm taking a Freebie week this week. It's TOM and quite frankly, it was a high-ish calorie weekend for me with only 1 good workout in the past 10 days. I'm not surprised to see that I was up 2 pounds this morning. Today is the beginning of my schedule returning to "normal" after a crazy 25 days of traveling and then working full time. I look forward to getting back into my regular routines!!

This is where I'm at also. Now is my time to beat these demons that have plagued me my entire adult life. It's our health and quality of life at stake.

Oh yeah - it felt great to be back in the gym and get all sweaty!!

LOL - I'm often tempted to use my post-workout weight as my true weight also!! I'm sure your weight will move soon! Probably tomorrow since you posted a 0!

Yes, I'm learning this lesson also. Some things I just cannot have in my vicinity!

Reporting in for the week -

Happy journeys to all the bluesers! Unfortunately, I posted a gain this week despite excellent behavior - I figure it is just delayed onset from the prior week's VERY VERY badness. Oh well, this is a long-distance race, not a sprint, and I am sure reward for this week's good behavior will show up somewhere along the line.

I leave for Vacation this Saturday, so I'll have at least one more WI, possibly 2 - although I saved a freebie for the last week just in case I get distracted and/or can't find a scale.

Anywho, have a great week all!

Nori - the other thing I can't have in the house is Coca Cola. I am truely an addict when is comes to this.

I quit drinking Coke about 4 years ago and then after almost a year of no cokes, I let myself have just 1, and then 1 turned into 2 and so on until I was drinking about 1-1.5 gallons of Coca Cola a day.

It is my crack. Like an alcoholic, I can't ever have any again and I really crave it sometimes. I have been holding strong and I haven't had a Coca Cola since 14 Sept 2007.

sorry for being so quiet guys.. after john left i spent the next day eating myself stupid then i couldnt sleep becuase i had so much crap trying to feel his space.( he left friday) and my sleep pattern has been crap ever since which had meant i have had migranes.. and more bad food choices and yet more crappy feeling.. lol.. and less sleep and this weird pain if i look left with my left eye.. kinda hurting under my temple.. yesterday i ate good and last night i finally slept good.. its amazing how 3 nights of crappy sleep can make me so crappy .. last night at 6 pm i could hardly keep my eyes open to talk to john on the net.. and he kept asking me why i was grumpy.. lol ....
so i have learnt that sleep is very important to me .. and without it i eat crap ..( not that i have crap in my house just ate alot of carbs. OH wait "scratch" that .. i had chocolate so yeah i did have crap.. lol ).

I havent read the posts becuase my eye still hurts and its early morning here so i will read it later today .. just thought id let you know where im at since i have been quiet..

I posted my weight this morning and i am happy i only had a small gain .. i was 262.2 mid week and i posted a 263 .. which is a 1.4 loss from last week .. I really didnt want to get on the scales this morning.. i was gonna go a freebie.. but i did and i was very suprised lol.. 1 day of op eating and i had lost the 3 pounds of crappy fluid i weighed in on sunday .. lol .. yes i know i need to move away fromt the scales.. but it keep me honest.. and the gain i saw was the reason i got back on track so.. for now ill continue being a scale freak.. lol

Hey guys! I did it! I ran 4 miles today, well ahead of my goal of doing it August 6. It won't be my standard run, though I think I am ready to make the baseline 3.5. Eventually, I think five will be my standard. As I am slow a cold molasses, that is about an hour for me. It feels good to focus on something besides the scales.

I got a new blanket for my bed last night...it is yummy soft.

I had a gain this week and may freebie it this week. It was Freebie Crap Shoot with this one, so I hope it will pay off.

I hear you on the "fix" with food/drink, Kelly. I honestly have my doubts as to whether or not I will ever be an intuitive eater. I think there will always be triggers. I definitely do have more peace with food when I'm focused on being/getting healthy. But I'm quite certain that I'll always have to engage in a fierce battle from time to time and actually deny myself and just do the right thing.

Kelly - WOW 30 5k's, you are doing amazing. I love how you remember the EXACT date of your last coke! LOL! That is a great accomplishment!
Anna - WOW on the running 4 miles!
Amy - I hear you about falling off the diet wagan, I was not doing so well mywelf, but am doing a little better today. =)

I did another c25k today, week 3. That 3 minutes of running is really a challenge for me, I am thinking of doing at least 1 more session of week 3.

Morning everyone!

Just a quick check-in from me. DH and I went out to dinner last night - not the best move on our parts as it's basically impossible to get healthy food when you're eating out, and even if you think it's healthy you can't know for sure. We ended up at Cheeseburger in Paradise, this stupid kitschy chain that I don't really care for but it's the only place that wasn't packed or far away. Anyway, I did my best - had a veggie burger and didn't eat the bun, ate only a small handful of sweet potato chips. Could have been better, could have been worse. Retaining water like the dickens today.

This weekend I am going up to MD for my niece's 4th birthday. We are going to a place called Dutch Wonderland or something - it's a kiddie theme park... which means danger food-wise. I'm going to find a WW meeting I can go to near my sister's house before we go to the park so I can get my WI out of the way pre-hot dog and cotton candy ****. Got two more WIs, have to make them count, right?

Hope everyone is doing well!

Good morning, Bluesers!

Today is on-plan day 22 for me and I'm feeling great! My energy level is high and my thought processes are clear. Purging my body of refined sugars has worked some miracles. This is week 2 of my modified C25K program. For 60 minutes, I wog for 45 seconds followed by 4:15 walks. My stamina has improved greatly from the beginning of last week. In 3 months, I should be running for the whole hour. I can't wait!

Each week, our family has been trying new veggies and fruits. Last night, we had roasted Japanese eggplant. It was really good! No bitter taste at all. We also tried a recipe for red cabbage with apples. Hubby and I loved it...the kids thought it was gross. We're going to keep cooking it and the kids have to have at least one bite each time. Hopefully, they'll develop a taste for it. If not, at least we tried.

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day!

GO BLUE!

Vix - maybe I missed it, but what's up with your DBF's job situation?

I'm off to a doctors appointment this morning. I haven't been established with a family doc for years and recently when I've had the nurses check my blood pressure at the office it's been running on average 140/70. Top number is consistently borderline. I was on BP meds when I was pregnant, so I've had a history of it. Anyhoo, heard good things about this gal and made an appointment with her. I don't really want to go on drugs, but I also don't want to be ruining my arteries. For her office, I head to the gym. I love being in my normal schedule once again. It makes all things easier.

RE: plurk. I absolutely cannot get on from my home computer. They must have changed something on their site and my firewall no longer even allows me to log on. If I disable my firewall I can get on fine. But that concerns me. Should it? Why would they need access to those "protected" things? Plus, yesterday at work, I noticed that it no longer refreshed in real time like it used to . I have to hit the refresh button and it never lets me mark all as read anymore either. I think their server must be on overload!!! Miss you all. You can talk all you want about me for 3 days since I dont' go back to work until Friday!!!
