Hi Teamies!

Hope you all had an awesome weekend!

Hmmm....okay, I am going to take the chef, provided he (and of course he is hot) cleans up the kitchen too. I love to cook, but after working all day it would be nice to come home and have dinner ready and the kitchen clean. Then I could spend time with my boys and DH, and then have energy to workout when the boys went to bed.

Just updated my ticker and realized through my journey that I am only .2 pounds from 20 lost.

Thanks RED and BLUE teams for the congrats!!!

Happy weekend to you all! I hope you are all enjoying it. I usually don't get on during the weekend, but I had to come share my NSV-went for a run tonight and when I got home I could feel my IT band tightening up so I told DH that I was going to go walk it off and boy oh boy did I get a second wind. I walked 3 min. and my legs were screaming at me to run and so I RAN and I RAN FAST! It was so AWESOME! This monavie drink I am drinking has added glucosamine and I really think that has helped me so much. My knees did not feel grindy and ache at all! YAY

I survived the 4th, but I will not call it an OP day DH birthday and he got to choose what we ate-but it was very enjoyable!

As for the QOTD-I love to cook, BUT I love to watch and learn from other cooks too so I would go for the chef. I enjoy working out and can push myself. Actually after I had my first and before I had my second I was testing to become a personal trainer and would love to coach track one day.

Hope you all have a good rest of the weekend-see you Monday.

I would totally do the personal trainer.

Julia - I admire anybody that can do in-home daycare. I'd pull all my hair out the first day.

Smurf - I'm going to have to check into that drink! I've been using Aspercreme on my knee and it works pretty well. I like that it isn't a pill.

Manick - Great love story and congratulations on the dress you wanted to wear being too big!! Whoo-hoo!!

Happy belated birthday Nixmom!!

Anne - It was great to see you here again!!

I read about the jumping rope challenge at 9:20 pm. Tired . . . been biking. My knee hurt, but I did one minute and 10 seconds!! I don't own a jump rope so I used an extension cord. lol.

I'm exhausted and heading to bed. I wouldn't say I was OP during the wedding on the 3rd and the 4th of July party, but pretty darned close. Had about half my normal wine consumption!!

I didn't find a dress for the wedding, but I did find a few cute shirts and received some nice compliments.

My BFF, Wendy, wants to do a triathlon next summer. DH was so sweet, he bought me a new bicycle today to help me train! My other one was 20 years old and not all the gears worked.

Take care everybody!!

Good Morning!!!!!

Went through my mail this morning and my DVD is here I got the 30 Day Shred and I will be starting it today because it is way to hot and humid to do any walking outside today.

Julia - Home daycare is a challenge, when the boys were younger before school I wanted to stay home with them but didn't want to give up having extra personal spending money so I kept a set of newborn twins till they were 4 I only had them from 12-5 but that was challenge enough and when I hear others keeping 10-12 kids yeah I would be ready to pull my hair out when they all leave. It is rewarding to because they do love you so much and most of the time don't want to go home and that makes you feel good.

Smurf where are you getting that drink at? But then again I have decided that I am only doing 30 minutes of exercised per day because I am going to realistically think of life time and I only want to give up about 30-40 minutes a day for the rest of my life. I did also read online that they are saying 17 minutes should be the least amount you do and that 30 does just as good as 60 if you have 2-3 short bursts of all out during that 30 minutes. So I am going to give it a try.

Well I will talk to everyone later I have already recorded my weight for the week so that I don't forget.

Happy Belated Birthday Nixmom Hope it was happy.

Thanks Jules for posting a QOTD - I find it helps the chats move along sometimes when they get stuck.

I love to cook so I'd take the personal trainer. I had one once and I really liked him. Told him it was his job to push me and my job to whine and we each did our jobs REALLY well Personal trainers keep it interesting too - always trying to mix things up and showing you proper form and making sure you get the best out of each workout - things that are hard to do when you are your own trainer.

I made the most delicious smoothie this morning. Nice and refreshing on a warm summer day. While it doesn't fill you up, unlike cereal and carby things, it will keep the hungries at bay for a while...

1 container Yoplait Light FF Apple Turnover Flavor yogurt
about 10 walnut halfs or unsalted almonds
1 scoop plain or vanilla protein powder
1 medium apple chopped into chunks
dash of cinnamon to taste
4 to 6 ice cubes
apple juice - I fill the yogurt container about 2/3 full and swish it around a bit to get the rest of the yogurt out

Pop all ingredients in a blender. Blend for 2 minutes. If the mix gets too thick because of the ice cubes, you can thin it with a bit of water or more apple juice.

Enjoy!

hi everyone!!

hope you had a good 4th!

with regard to the QOOD: personal chef for me even though i love, love, love to cook. however my personal chef would have to do the grocery shopping and clean up.

i'm still really into my P90X workouts and Tony is my personal trainer, without a doubt. i worked with a personal trainer before (twice a week) and my weight steadily climbed during the entire process because i wasn't making healthy food choices. for me - it's all about the food!!!

and speaking of the food - time to come clean. the scale is up (between 2-3 lbs). it's been up and down now for several weeks. i've used a freebie week here and eeked out low #s for the weekly weigh-ins when i had to and then the scale would go right back up. Tomorrow i may have a gain and i need to report it. i cannot try to hide it with another freebie. i must be honest with myself (and you). i want to get back into my groove so am apologizing now - sorry black team.

i feel so much lighter already!!

Angeline it happens just get back on track and you will be good to go. I do believe most of us have gained some weight through this challenge but we then work twice as hard to lose it.

I did finally get my 30 Day Shred of which I wanted to start today but have't been able to get the TV for a bit as everyone else keeps watching something. I need to get started though because I have 28 days till vacation and want to try to be at least 2 inches less in my waist when we go...

Well I do need to get moving as we will be leaving for the races in the next 2 hours and boy it is hot and humid out today

Have a great evening everyone

Well the races got cancelled due to rain, which is fine by me because maybe now I will be able to see what The Shred is all about!!!! It has been a pretty peaceful day so far got my laundry done, and my DH cooked supper tonight chicken with green beans. Oh and DH decided that losing a little weight would not be so bad for him either so he started following WW with me however he isn't going to the meetings but does have me figure his lunch points for him and I cook breakfast in the morning so he eats what I eat the biggest thing is he quit drinking Straight Coke and has went to Coke Zero and only 1-2 a day instead of 6+ we are talking 24 oz bottles not cans. It is just surprising how much quicker guys can lose the weight then us girls. He has already lost 8 pounds since last Tuesday that is more than a pound a day. WOW!!!
Well I suppose I should get my buns a rolling talk at you later

Hello all! Funny story (ish). I went for a run today, and I was feeling great, thinking about how I had eaten on-plan and was exercising and what have you, and all of a sudden, a bird pooped on my head! No, really. It was pretty gross, but also kind of funny, if you think about it.
