Hey Teamies! WELL.....yowsa...congrats to those of you who DID post a loss this week!!! We maintained as a group, and that is something I guess. I'm not one to talk as I took my holiday freebie this week.
We have ONE week to make it a good one....let's GO team!!!
Purple, I don't know about the cucumber, I looked up some, er, relevant words in google and found a host of information. Alot about how they are "cool" foods but sometimes too cool and the body expels them. I don't think it is necessarily from the fiber content. Sounds like you found yourself a good purgative for those days of excess

eeek
Here's a snippet with a nice way to serve cucumbers tho:
"Enjoy cucumbers sliced, in yogurt dishes, salads, dressings, pickles, relish, and juice. Try Stuffed cucumbers. Scoop out seeds and pulp and fill with sun cured olives, chopped celery, red pepper tossed with a bit of dressing. Spicy meals are cooled by the addition of cucumber."
Lucky you that your garden is already producing stuff....we have basil and tiny little pepper babies, but not much else yet. It was SO rainy here in June, the sun is finally out now!
Smurf you are rockin on the runs! Way to go!!
Tara WHOO!! on fitting into the jeans...isn't that great?! Fitter IS better! I'm sure you'll be sportin' those jeans in no time!
Troo I was in San Diego last week and LOVED it! What a gorgeous place!!!
Here's my "head" check in:
Vacation was nice y'all, we walked on many California beaches, trying to make it at least a 3 miler anytime we went out. That cool, breezy, sunshiny weather was spectacular!

I had never been on an official southern CA beach, they really do look just like the TV shows!
Food consumption on vacation was harder, LOTS of fabulous foods in CA...I'm still working on getting the excess off of me, but here's my mini-NSV. DH and I decided to order a green salad with dressing on the side at every dinner and just one entree to share. We pretty much stuck with that the whole trip. The entrees were sometimes splurgy (a memorable filet mignon with artichokes and mustard sauce in old town San Diego) but we only consumed half of it at most. This was a big change for us (foodies both and food/celebration and consumption has been a big part of our relationship) and it saves money too! We bought cereal and non fat yogurt and fruit for breakfasts and a big 2 gallon jug of water to refill our bottles. It was really great to have support for my efforts on this vacation from DH.
My battle is slow, but at least I'm still in it...and making changes that I can sustain for life, hopefully. I'm thinking a year from now I should be in pretty good shape
