OK, I'm in for the new challenge.I will even start with posting today's menu (warning, I am a weird vegetarian)
Breakfast - Morningstar Farms Mushroom Lover's Burger on high protein ww veggie bread (home-made thanks to DH) and an orange

Snack - light string cheese

Lunch - on the go today - high protein chocolate oatmeal bar (home-made), light Swiss LC cheese wedge, and grapes

Dinner - Butternut squash stuffed ravioli with tomato and pesto sauce and Birdseye steamer veggies

Snack - light string cheese, baby carrots and dry red wine (which for the sake of this challenge I am gonna consider as heart healthy ;))

1076 calories if I stick to my planned portions

Hi everyone! I'm looking forward to this new week. My weigh-in was disappointing last week (stayed exactly the same), so I'm definitely looking for something different this week! :D I'm only 2.8lbs away from my mini goal of no longer being obese, and I can hardly wait for my reward!

I haven't checked out the new challenge yet, but I'll probably give it my best shot!

Keep up the good work!

Morning Everyone!

I weighed in yesterday and lost 2.2lbs! I am happy about that! It has been very hot here. I got burned pretty bad on my back Thursday. I smell like a pickle - doing the vinegar trick. It's not working though.

MELISSA/DIVA - I clicked on the President's Link but I didn't see the health challenge. Where should I click??

Hope everyone has a nice OP Sunday!

the test instructions are on the left side of the screen, and right below the instructions is a place with stars it says to click here to enter data or something like that. Way to go on the loss!!!

I got to thinking on the challenge and I decided that since alot of our team doesnt check in on Sundays that we'll just change the start date till Monday, of course everyone is MORE thank welcome to start today because that is just one more day OP!!!

We live in " the country" in Illinois at least, and I tell ya it looks nothing like that!LOL! I would think that was like waking up next to God every single morning!

Yup. :) It's very beautiful here. Here's some more pics if ya wanna see. :)

I won't be doing the challenge this time, as I am not able to plan my meals ahead of time. I'll just stick to my daily plan, and let you guys earn all the dough. ;)

Diva 05-18-2008 06:15 PM

Awwwww. The only problem I may run into is this one:
2. at least 1 fruit or veggie with every meal

I usually have fruit as a snack, which I suppose is a healthy snack. But sometimes I have the 100 calorie Popcorn. I don't guess that's considered healthy? I also don't have a veggie w/every meal. I def don't with breakfast, unless there's diced tomatoes in an omelet, but usually I just have cheerios, and with our budget right now, a vegetable isn't in the plan with every meal. Take tonight for instance. We are having all beef Hot-dogs & Fries cooked in Conola oil. Wait fries are a veggie! ;) LOL! But then there's soup & Grilled cheese night. Do the veggies in my low sodium soup count?

I dunno...Can OP mean staying with in calories? Because I can def do that. :)

Hun.e.B 05-18-2008 06:56 PM

100 calorie popcorn is a healthy snack!! And I say make the challenge work for you! The whole idea is to eat healthy and OP, and YES veggies in your soup count silly!

If you need to change the eat a fruit or veggie with every mean (that means breaky, lunch and dinner) to eating XX amount of calories I'm good with that. Do whats gonna work for you, but also try and challenge yourself to eat healthy.

If you cant plan your meals in advance how about you change it to posting your meals at the end of the day to hold yourself accountable? Or you could change that part to read stay within XX calories or XX carbs a day. Make it work for you in a way that helps you stick to your plan.

Thanks for sharing those Roni:) The pictures of the trees are breath taking...that color looks like something unreal! I just can't imagine looking out my window and seeing that every single day. Your boy is cute also;) Was that other boy your older son? Do you guys have any animals that you raise? My boys would love that land...I don't think I'd ever get them off the 4 wheelers:) Thanks again for sharing girl~

Diva 05-18-2008 07:58 PM

Yup, Chris is my 22 yr old. He's living back home in Savannah, GA. We just have our dog, cats and Mrs.Turtle. :) But I love to watch the horses and go feed them through the fence and stuff. What's funny is Walmart is 5 to 7 minutes away, as is all the food places and whatnot. It looks like the country but we live on farm land within the City Limits. Isn't that cool? ;)It's a small town though. We usually have to go to other towns for jobs and the mall.

Tina30 05-18-2008 08:01 PM

Even better you get the best of both worlds;)
