If you won a shopping spree to any store in the world, which store would you pick? And what would you buy?

Edited for my answer: I would probably pick someplace like Sears or Macys because you can get just about everything there! I'd totally redo all the furnishings in my house all new linens, bedding, kitchenwear, towels!! Oh that could be fun!

I'd prolly hit Sears or Macy's too. Any place were I can get anything from panties to a new couch! :)

There's a WORKOUT marathon on Bravo right now and all night until the new episode @10 pm EST.

My preferred shopping spree would probably be on Amazon.

I think my preferred spree would be at Target. I LOVE Target. A lot.

Exercise is going really well lately - I've made the gym everyday since Thursday and I made it for 5 days before that - that's 10 days out of 11!

Eating - well, it could be better. This is my first serious challenge since beginning Weight Watchers in January. I have company for the first time and the eating it has been not so good. Of course, it hasn't been atrocious and I managed to be on plan for minimum 2 out of three meals for three of the four days and completely on plan for 1 of the four. It's really not too bad and I haven't actually gained anything. *sigh* as much as I'm enjoying the company - and the vacation - it will be better when I go back to work, even with the stress of work. Ah well, we're off to the Grand Canyon tomorrow so we should get plenty of walking in - even in the freezing cold weather up there!

Sorry guys: Haven't posted much

It has really been a bad couple of weeks for me but it is starting to look up. I went back to Ohio where some very significant situations happened that sent us to IL two years ago. We are now in Kansas doing better than ever. Facing those demons was more than I could handle; truthfully, I hadn't really realized that they were there until I arrived back there. (I had went back for a graduation) But I have dealt with them and closed that chapter of my life. I now look forward to the future. I'm still determined to get off these meds for HBP, Type II diabetes and asthma by Christmas. I went to plug in my weigh in and realized my weigh in post is gone. Should I put it back in or was I "deleted" for not posting?

Tomorrow I start taking care of PAM for once in my life. I am determined. I vow to post something every evening before I go to bed even if it is just a response to someone else. I have to have accountibility so that I won't cheat. I want to get rid of caffeine, white sugar and processed white flour.
I am ready to get healthy. So that I can take hold of my life and be alive to live it to the fullest. Gosh this sounds like a load of crap. But I really do mean it. It's so nice to have a place that I can vent and know that there is someone out there that is in the same boat as I am. Someone understands.
I think I have decided that I am going to go talk with someone so that I can work through the issues that cause me to eat. Whatever they may be.

Think my place of choice would be Sears. You can get just about anything at Sears :)

Hey everyone! Just stopping in to say Hi. I am going on vacation tomorrow and won't be back until next Wed. I will try and check in. I won't have access to a scale...so I will weigh in early and post my weight tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend!!!

Hi been MIA - got a lot going on personally and basically just blew the last 2 weeks. I'm super upset with myself and disappointed but I don't want to just sit here and be down anymore.

Lots of work stress and being w/o my spouse for over 10 month took its toll on me - not giving excuses but I just sort of fell off the wagon and quit trying.

In the last two days I have gotten back into my exercise routine and today I ate a lot more according to plan, so I am ready to give it my all again. I only have 4 weeks until my hubby is back and I am wasting time being in a funk!

So I'm back, and hoping to shed these 5 stress/whatever pounds I have gained. I'm sorry to bring the team down in weigh ins, as I was doing so good before this. I'm promising now to be more active and definitely more OP in the next month. I hope it's ok that I stay on.

I have bought some prepared meals to take with me to work and I am re-negotiating the terms of my employment tomorrow with my boss so the stress can be relieved.

I hope everyone's doing great (or at least better than I was) and I will be a lot more active from here on out.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I have a request. For those of you who work out at home with a DVD or VHS, what do you love? What do you hate? I've heard rave reviews about the Walk Away The Pounds series... any others? I have Tae Bo and it's pretty good but I get kinda crazy counting to 8 all the time!

I'm adding some new ones to my Netflix queue so if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears!

I'm also going back to photographing what I eat for the day. It may sound a little nutty but it helps me stay honest about what really goes into my body (not just the foods but the PORTIONS! - that's the problem for me - I'll eat something healthy but 2 or 3 times more than I should).

Mandey – you are an exercise machine!!!

Wkgirl – Hi! Sounds like you need another massage! ;)

StacyLynn – I’m having a really bad week too. My eating has been horrible (scale shows over 5 pound gain which takes my number to higher than when I started this challenge) and I just cannot get myself motivated to exercise. I don’t know what my problem is. It’s almost like I’m trying to sabotage myself and I don’t know why.

Gaia – I’m sorry you’re feeling down. It’s so easy to get attached to an animal like that. About 8 years ago, my dog had puppies and I got one back for a few months until I found a home for her. It was so hard to see her go.

Kellybones – Enjoy the Grand Canyon! I’ve never been there yet.

Nuttymom – I’m sorry you’ve been having a rough time. Now that chapter is closed, it’s the perfect time to take care of you. You CAN do this!

Kara – have a great vacation!

Cat – Hang in there! I’m going through the funk, too. I’m ready to get back on track. We can do this! Good luck on the “renegotiation”!

Heather – I tend to love a dvd workout and then do it so much that I get burned out. I did WATP for quite a while and really liked it. I got to the point that I could recite the dvd word for word so it was time for a change. I still do WATP occasionally, but with it on mute and while listening to my iPod. I have Netflix, too. I tried out several of the WATP videos at first. I also tried some weight/strength training dvd’s – Get Ripped with Jari Love. I tried one Tae Bo, but just couldn’t get into it. They did not have it on Netflix, but I purchased the TurboJam (5 workouts on 2 disks for less than $20 on Amazon) and like it. I’m still getting used to the moves (I’m a tad uncoordinated). It has similar moves to Tae Bo, I believe but has more of a dancey feel to it. I have the first Biggest Loser dvd and it’s pretty good. I do most of my exercising in the morning and only have 30 minutes so I haven’t done it in a while since it is 35 – 45 minutes. I have the 2 new BL dvds in my queue. Photographing your food cracks me up! That’s a good idea!

Hun.e.B 05-21-2008 09:45 AM

I'm so excited that my sugarfree syrups came yesterday! I have missed my sugarfree fatfree gingerbread lattes!! I got a B52 flavor too, I hope I like it!

So I'll admit that I'm struggling too. Not really sure what my problem is I'm just not very motivated at all! AF being here doesnt help because the darn cramps make me want to just sleep all day. But what good is that gonna do me? So, today I'm going to set a goal for myself: today I'm going to take myself to the gym and do the 1 mile part of the presidents fitness test. Thats my goal for today! I can do it!!

Tina30 05-21-2008 10:09 AM

It's the little things in life that bring you joy, huh Melissa!LOL! Good for you for getting to the gym today. This time around seems hard for me also, but I know it has to do with outside stress. I tend to put so much into being healthy that when extra comes my way it's just way too much to handle all at once. My sister did give me news that this is my last week of babysitting. So 3 more days and I'm a free women! My mom gets off work early on Wednesdays, so she is coming to pick the baby up for a few hours....how handy that the last week I have him she comes to the freaking rescue. I'm really hoping to not get into it with my mom today. My eating was awful yesterday, so goal today is to get that back on track. It looks really nice out, so I'm thinking once my mom comes and takes the baby I'll go sit on the patio and read my few magizine!

Hey y'all!

Last night was my partner's dad's 80th birthday. They tried to make it a surprise, but the old man drug it out of him! LOL It was a nice picnic--grilled meats, devilled eggs, beans, etc. With the exception of birthday cake, I ate totally on plan. (The scale did not reward me, unfortunately--at least not today!)

Tonight is one of my weekly dance classes! I always look forward to this--I definitely get my sweat on!!

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day!!
