We have to be there at 7:30 for an 8 AM start. Then off to sedation and the MRI. I hope to be home by 1 so that I can go vote! |

Jill - I work 40 hours a week, go to school 10 to 20 hours a week and have a hubby and a furbaby. Where I make all my exercise minutes is on the weekends because I'm out pushing that lawnmower or digging in the yard. I consider doing house projects just as much if not more than formal exercise for me. Now on nights I'm able, I hop on the treadmill for 45 mins. All I need is my Pandora radio on a mix and I'm good for 30 + mins. Then there's always taking Lexi out to potty... she likes to run and jump around so I chase her with everything I've got in me... I usually do it for about 15 to 30 mins just to burn off the extra calories I might build up. Weigh In Deadline is in 50 mins! Hope you all got your weights in! As far as the badges go... great job this week everyone :) It kinda looks like we took over on badges, just haven't had a chance to get the other teams posted yet... that'll be tomorrow morning's job after weigh in results ;) |

Hey everyone-
I just wanted to pop in and say hi (what a generic hello.. I know, lame!) It's my crazy busy week with school but after this week should be smooth sailing.. and for some reason this stress makes me feel like I'm back on track because I'm not caving in. Have a great week everyone! |
hiya blueys .. I have had one of those days lol.. yesterday wehn i took the kidsto the park.. the dog climbed our 10 ft fence and escaped.. we got him back in the yard for the little rascal to do it again and again.. I ran down the hardware store and picked up more metal and some brackets and thingss to fix it so he cant jump over,.. since he uses the wood on the fence to climb it i have put a metal roof coming off the top of the fence to stop him.. there is only one area where he can do this becuase there is as brick bbq there againest the fence.. By the time i got all my supplies it was dark.. to i was up at the crack of dawn fixing the fense .. the poor dog was tied up all night and he was woeful.. he was so sad when i went out there .. and he howled off and on all night.. I feel like a really mean mum but im only a few roads back from a magor road that has road trains /semis all night.. i cant have my brat run over.. So there i was 6 30 am .. fixing this make shift roof by myself.. i cant believe how heavy it is.. i have a really sore back now and have sciatica shooting down one leg then the other.. yippeee for me ( my back has been bad since my first pregnancy lol).. but hey 90 minute of intense cardio.. i was filthy and didnt have time to change b4 taking cameron to school.. so we walked .. there aint no way any filthy poeple are getting in my new car even me .. lol .. I was a mess.. i have crushed my middle finger with the hammer rigt on the nail.. and when i got to school.. i still looked like a beetroot lol..
Me and leah walked the long way home so noone else i might know will see me in such a state lol short way is 15 minutes long way is 45 lol.. but short way is a the magor road i was taling about.. so... long way is much better with a 3 year old.. lol we then took Super nan grocery shopping she is 88 and cant do it alone anymore.. and anyway she is the nicest person you are ever likely to meet .. Leah wasd an angel up the shops so my day that started bad quickly turned to good.. My back is fine until i sit down apart from the sciatica anyway .. lol.. hey i wont go to physio .. this back is gonna keep me on my feet ... might be good for weight loss ... hehehehe .. QUESTION.. we are going away friday sat sunday is it ok if i weigh in early like tommorrow morning ( so i dont forget)?? the weight loss wont be as good so i thought i would ask.. i dont want to let the team down for this weeks weigh in? please let me know thanks guys |
Hi you Bloosers!!!:cheer3::cheer3::cheer3:
I wanted to note for you all that my posts will probably be at odd times as I've worked graveyard for 20 of my 25yrs as a nurse, so I haven't changed my inner clock, and most likely never will. Hubby changed his too, to match mine, so we're both up late and get up late, but it works for us.:high: It also works in my job, which is as a contract RN for the state of Oregon. The state case managers give me referrals, I assess them, delegate tasks to their care providers and monitor their in-home health. I set my own schedule, but there is a LOT of driving, usually 100 miles a day, but I've made my schedule so that I work mostly on Monday in the field, then Tuesday I do claims, reports and billing. There is some phone call work, but essentially I'm a free agent. So . . . hubby and I keep the phone off the hook until 11am since we're not in bed till about 3:30 or 4am.:tired: So, for the exercise challenge, I work in the yard whenever I can. It's my art, a sculpture in progress you might say. I'm going to add Leslie Sansone walking (which I've done before and enjoy) and Joyce Vedral weight training for days I don't do yard work. But for sure, my days out there are cardio supreme!!!:wl: Rhonda: I can deal with the snarky, but I am very pleased to meet the cheerful you!! I too have felt much better lately, partially because the sun is shining in wet wet Oregon:sunny: Tawnya - man, you've had one rough week, including the loss of your fur baby. Don't let the scale get you down too - I know you're gonna shine, look what you've done so far:cp: Jill - I've been using Fit Day and there's calorie burning in just about everything we do and your stressful day :yikes:MUST have quite a few. I'd convert those kind of "workouts" (like I made 6hrs of yardwork into 2 hours for the challenge) and combine with what you are doing extra. I certainly see that as fair. Amarie - so . . . that's what that sweet song that birdie was trying to relate . . . Amarie is thinking of you. I was thinking of you too, I am so sore. And I asked before, but maybe you didn't catch it - where are you moving here from and when???:listen: Francie - I sure hope this finds you feeling better. :getwell: Like others, I too had a strong reaction to eating off plan. I had been OP for about a week and we had dinner at my MIL's and she ALWAYS provides a rich dessert. It was silk pie and I had the teeniest piece - but that night and all the next day - my stomach had sharp pains, no other cause I don't think, because it went away. Anna - cool site and you can rant anytime - I basically agree with your positions. We're watching your elections quite closely here. As to ellipticals - we got one several years ago and its been just sitting in the exercise room. I originally wanted a treadmill, I just wanted to walk, but DH and I were in Costco and they were selling these and DH seemed impressed with it, so I changed my choice. It's hard to start with this type of exercise, at least for me. I can do about 2 minutes and I'm pooped.:whoo: I would have rather started slower, with the treadmill and "graduated" up to this. Someday, I guess I'll be glad to have it, but for now it's a lonesome dude.:halfempty Well, I'll be out in the yard all day tomorrow too, finally in the veggie area:broc: Check in with you chickies later. Go BLUE!!! Dora |
I'm down to 311 on the scale this morning. I saw lower weights over the weekend, but I'll just go ahead and post this one for this week. I know I was disappointed at not having an initial big water loss, but if I can keep losing 2 pounds a week, that would be amazing (not that I wouldn't be happy with less--I don't need to recieve the same lectures I alays give others about patience :p ).

And so, here I am at 5:33am...took out the puppies, exercised 30 minutes, fed the puppies, took out the puppies again (and had to pause during workout to take Bean out since she was standing at the door), said good morning and good bye to Jeff, and checked 3FC :cool: |
Good morning, Bluesers!
My walk last evening did more for me than just burn some calories. I slept like a log! This off-and-on insomniac needed a great night's sleep. I just wish it had lasted a couple more hours. And, I actually woke up hungry this morning! I haven't had that early morning sensation in quite a while. I'm thinking that the scales just might smile on me again this week.:sunny: Anna - I'm thinking good thoughts for Meara this morning. I hope everything goes smoothly and you get greats answers quickly. Jill - You do have a very busy day. Just do your best and remember to look for opportunities for any extra activity in your day. And, 2 pounds is great! My goal for this challenge is to have a loss...big or small....each and every week. 2 pounds a week would be awesome. Dora - I'd love to keep the kind of hours that you and Hubby keep. Unfortunately, I can't get the job and the schools to cooperate.:dizzy: I swear, I'm brain dead in the morning. I get my best work done in the early afternoon. Amy - Great job of fixing the fence on your own. Hope the back feels better quickly. Dana - Glad to hear that you aren't caving to the evil stress! Cindy - Glad to hear that you're back on the wagon. Well, this brain dead woman has a ton of work to get through today, so I better quit chatting. I'll check in again later. Hope everyone has a great on-plan day. :cheer3::cheer3::cheer3: GO BLUE! :cheer3::cheer3::cheer3: |
Morning gang!
Rhonda -- Glad you got some sleep last night! I started suffering from terrible insomnia over the last year and I never knew how bad it was or how lucky I had been to never have had it before! Since I've started heavily training I sleep through at least 90% of my nights; life is SO MUCH BETTER when you get a decent night's sleep! Amy -- I would think it is fine for you to weigh-in early! Have fun on your long weekend! Francie - I think the second badge is purchsed with the extra minutes you had over the cost of the ticket! Great job! |
Rhonda i thought i was all alone lol.. I have never liked breakfast for years the thought has made me feel sick.. but now im on the down track im actually hungry i the morning again.. lol funny isnt it.. must be all the calories we are burning.. being hungry in the morning must be a sign we are doing this right.. :) .
my back is fine now.. i took some ibuprofen and codiene and it all went down.. i also stayed on my feet the rest of the day too.. which help it to settle down.. It got really bad when i was sitting on the floor with leah playing ball and sorting her clean washing in her room .. i actually had to lay on her floor and was stuck there for a while lol.. all the time moaning to my friend... and kinda going ow ow ow every time i moved lol.. She rang me again just now and said hi owy how you feeling lol.. she is my best mate .. i love that she checks up ion me lol.. we are like sister.. we can argue and scream down the phone at each other hang up and scream.. and we still talk.. we discuss everything in fine detail and try to find the reasons behind events in our live lol.. why her on is angry.. etc.. or leah is in a bad mood.. we halp each other with all aspects of raising our kids .. my son 7, her son 7 her daughter 6 ,my daughter 3 ( the girls have been our biggest worry really leah with all her allergys and reactions and her daughter that had a really high temp and ended up having a stroke at 4 .. ). both our girl are great now though her girl is keeping up in school but likes thing in a routine way and has wetting issue still other wise she is pretty good .. she has very mild autism/aspergers now but unlike many she gets better all the time.. So with everything we have become Sisters.. and i love her and her kids like Family.. she is true friend and i am very lucky to have her ... lol.. i cant help it i have a complete inability to make a short post lol.. everything leads into something with me.. lol.. My hubby say ill be buried with the phone on my ear .. and my stone will say .. here lays the women that talked herself to death... lol.. im no better on the net am i.. talk talk talk lol.. ok ill stop :) have agreat day girls im gonna unwind and get ready for bed :) :hug: to all especially those having a rough time.. i have read your posts but im tired .. ill get back to your tommorow :) :hug: thanks josephine i will weigh in the morning .. wednesday morning for me .. since i weighed in saturday last time .. i dont expect much lol.. but i spose every 0.1 pounds counts to the week tally night |

Good morning everyone!
I wanted to report a happy hour victory yesterday. Usually when I go to one of the incredibly cheap happy hours around here I end up having 2+ beers, mozzarella sticks, wings, chicken tenders, nachos, fries.. the works. Afterwards, I feel awful, but at the time I feel like I won't be having fun if I don't partake of some of everything. Last night though, I saw that the place had huge plates of mussels in tequila and lime for $4, and I had a ton of those as opposed to all the fried stuff and empty carbs (well, I did have a piece of garlic bread...) and only one light draft beer. I didn't eat anything afterwards, so I counted it as my dinner (mussels have a ton of protein...it's all in the name!) and I am so pleased to learn that I had a great time without getting too tipsy or eating everything on the table. So far, social events have been my downfall, but maybe they don't have to be! And I wanted to say good luck/yikes/I'm sorry to everyone who is having issues with kids and pets (seems like a lot of people). I don't have either, so I can't really chime in or give advice, but you are all in my thoughts! |
