I just got done mowing the backyard, what a stress reliever!!! I feel better. I am tired and want to go to sleep now.

Faerie - drama llama is awesome! That made me laugh.

Pintobean & Faerie & Nori - thanks for the advice, that's what I'm leaning towards too! I don't do black shoes anyway, since I don't ever wear black (not a good color for me)... Screw whatever fashion god dictates thou shalt not mix black and brown. Just this once. :p

kim, congrats on the loss!!

Dee, sorry you're feeling crummy.

So I've got shoes on the brain and just spent a bunch of money at Zappos. :D See, the thing is, my feet are stupid and wide, I assume because of the weight I subject them to. Well, even though I've only lost 17ish lbs, I can tell a HUGE difference in the way my shoes fit. It's kind of like when you go down a size in pants and it's thrilling.... it's the same for me with shoes.... I don't have to buy a size up to compensate for width, I can buy shoes in my regular foot size! :D :D So I bought some cute canvas (or hemp? I forget) shoes made from all recycled materials (shoe bed is a recycled tire!), a pair of flip flops, and a pair of strappy bright yellow patent sandals. I might wear those yellow ones with my black grad gown, how about that? :p

I know what you mean about shoe size and weight loss, I have managed to lose and entire shoe size. I was wearing a 11-12 in a shoe/sandal, and now I am wearing a 10 (I have big feet). So I not only had to buy new clothes I had to get new shoes:D

AND if you want my opinion, where the "strappy bright yellow patent sandals" the way you described them let me know they make you feel sassy and happy.

You're welcome  Trust me when you're on that stage fashion would be the last thing on your mind. When I went for my grad ceremony I was nervous and excited at the same time :) BTW congratulations!
Oh I love Zappos! In fact, I'm just ready to buy me some sneakers :D I find it so convenient to shop there.

Faerie, that llama was priceless  BTW are you leaving in May or later?

ugh, shoes. I used to LOVE shoes. I even worked at Payless for a few years in college. I have big dumb feet. I don't mind that they're big so much as dumb. I wear a size 10, whch would be fine, except I have a wide foot, but not a wide heel, my toenails sort of grow at a slight upward angle causing more ingrown toenails than I can count, and my arch isapparently not in a normal place because the arch support in most shoes just kinda pokes me in the side of the foot while my arches go flat :dizzy:

There's no chance I could ever buy shoes online without trying them on. And even when I do try them on, they often feel okay in the store for a minute, but then I wear them to work or something and end up with blisters. Even most flip flops hurt me right between the toes where the thong part is. Shoes and I no longer get along

I posted about this on the all-team thread right before it closed, and there is an update to the story, so I am posting again.

Sorry about feeling like crap! The weight loss has to give some measure of comfort...

Chelle--Can you make some grown-up friends? Actually, you might extend an olive branch and see if they want to come over soon for a spaghetti dinner if you value the friendship.

Rhonda-sorry the job sucks.

I know I am not caught up, but my broccoli salad is gone, so I have to get back to my woman work.

Rhonda - Here's to us finding something we enjoy! :hat:

Pinto - I'll be leaving in July!

I'm am a Zappos addict also. It always blows my mind that I can order in the morning and have them on my front door step the very next day. They always upgrade to free overnight shipping it seems? I end up returning many pairs that I try after wearing them around home for awhile. But with the free return shipping=no problem. It is so much easier than going shoe shopping for me. I wear a 10.5W and that is a HARD size to fit. Almost all shoe manufactures do half sizes up to 9.5 and then once you hit 10 it goes up by whole sizes. So many times 10's are just too small, yet 11's are too large. It's frustrating. So I wear my New Balance or Columbia flip flops most of the time! (I wear clogs with my scrubs to work.) I fit into most Born, some Naturalizers, Danskos and other randoms that occasionally work for me. I have to hide the Zappos boxes from DH though!:D

I LOVE that! DramaLlama is the best name for it ever! I might have to start using that if you don't mind. :)

Ugh...I woke up feeling like total crap. I had another bad night. My internet went out last night, and I freaked out!!! I kept thinking that I wasnt gonna be able to email dh and then he was gonna worry about me. After all that stuff that happened last year, I make sure to email him often. So I ended up having nightmares all night long..and I kept waking up every hour.

Not only that..I think I'm gonna get a visit from AF very soon. I have the worst cramps ever right now. I'm not even hungry. I think I'm just gonna have some green tea and watch a movie until its time to work out.

I see that some of you are talking about shoes!! I just bought some really cute shoes from Payless. I just have to find some my really cute capris that I bought last year to wear w/them. (they have little anchors on the pockets, I love them!!). After we get paid..I'm gonna go to the NEX and buy these really cute Roxy shoes!!!!! Omg, I just love them.

Yay! Updated myspace page with all my info and lots of positives!

I even gave Rhonda a little shoutout on there..

Take a lookie

Vixjean--What did you decide? Did you wear the 11's?

Chelle--Sounds like your "friends" need to get over themselves. We can outgrow friends...I also like some coffee with my creamer.

I have to get off my behind and exerise. I have quite a few minutes to make up. We'll see what I can get done.

I'm back! The meds have kicked in and I'm feeling better. I didn't realize that Midol has caffeine in it though, so after almost 4 weeks caffeine free, I'm slightly buzzing right now. My left hand keeps trembling. Weird. I doubt it's connected to the little bit of caffeine, but still, its weird.

DramaLlama - gotta love that phrase. I read a book several years ago called the "Soap Opera Syndrome". It was basically about people who have to create constant drama. It helped me break ties with a few friends that were toxic to my self esteem and peace of mind.

I wish I could get to myspace from work. Our firewall has blocked it. :( Now, I'm almost never on there. I still own some long lost friends a reply from a message in March. I vow to get on there tonight and do that.

I need some help naming our new cat. He's a bit shy and rambuncious at the same time. Any suggestions? DH has final approval since it's his cat, but so far he's rejected Tigger and Simba. I suggested Horatio, since I think he looks like Horatio Caine off CSI:Miami, but DH didn't find that funny. Well, he did laugh, but didn't want that name for the cat. I'm attaching some pix that my co-worker sent me when I decided to adopt the cat.
