Good luck getting through all that you have to do for school this semester! BTW, you can adopt me, I'm potentially a great MIL (our oldest son has a longtime girlfriend, but they're not married yet...but she and I get along GREAT!) :)

Thanks!! I promise I'm not as whiney as I may seem! lol. I think my MIL is seriously delusional... no lie. My father-in-law is a saint! I hope that of the two of them, she goes first. If he goes first, no one will even come close to offering to help take care of her. It's really sad, I know. But she's just that bad.

My daily schedule is packed with things I need to do, but I can't bring myself to do any of them right now. Maybe I will go crawl into bed with a piece of gum in my mouth though and have a little nap while the kids nap...

CeeGee - I guess I'll have to be the beeyotch to give you a hearty SLAP!!! If I may, remember that evening your DH went on about how small you felt? Wouldn't just a lil smaller be too much fun??

Everybody that's lost much weight gets to a place they start "feeling thin." It takes some time and a few naked glances at the junk still left in the trunk to get back into the losing game. I'm happy to tell you what I did to get motivated again, but it's best left to a PM! :)

OolongFormosa 05-06-2008 05:19 PM

hello, guys :)

I hope you are all ok :)

last week was bad for me...I ate a ton of food, and did minimal workout...I hope this week will be better :)

trooworld 05-06-2008 05:20 PM

Anne: what are pizza shells? Are they kind of like Bobolis where you just add the toppings? Our pitas are pretty thin. The one I used today was white flour but usually I use whole wheat.

Congrats trooworld on being the team's biggest loser for the week!!! :)

Today has been incredibly good for me so far despite the fact that finals week stress has hit its peak. My only final is tomorrow, and it's gonna be a toughie. Exercising actually got me through it with some sanity lol. After that I will have 2 weeks to do nothing but pack, relax, focus on myself, and look for a summer job.

ahhh can't wait. :)

I think so. A local bakery years ago used to sell them. They were slightly cooked pizza dough in mini pizza sizes. You just put your toppings on them and finish them up in the oven. I made mine thinner because I love thin crust pizza. And since I got 12 of them out of the batch of dough they'll last for a while. I put a picture of them on the recipe blog I'm working on.

I say working on because originally the plan was to post one every time I added a new meal that I liked. I started off fast, but slowed down. The idea was that by the time I was finished losing weight (years from now) that I would have a good collection of food I liked to eat that was still good for me.

Hiya!

I was one of the ladies that reported 0 lbs lost last week *blush* but I'm happy to announce that I've lost 3 lbs so far this week. Weigh in again on Friday. That should make up for last week. :)

You're all doing great! We're so gonna rock this thing!!

cheetara 05-06-2008 06:16 PM

blueeyed - What school do you go to? I'm in Escondido.

I've seen my losses do that every once in a while. I'll go .6 one week then 3 the next week. In the long run the average is what I'm looking at. I know, for the challenges we need to pull those big numbers every week (but not necessarily possible). I think if we all end the challenge lighter than we started then that's a good thing.

Hi Chickies--

Dang busy day today I am temporarily managing a lot of people at work while my bosses are on vacation...not getting ANY of MY own work done! GRRR....

I am kicking my own booty in the early am's exercising and cleaning and yard work; it is finally spring here! I fall into bed and immediately conk out at night. Peeking at the scale today I see movement DOWN :carrot: Looking fwd to weigh in this week...this challenge has been REALLY motivating for me. I have been strictly OP since April 28, I am currently just going for the beach badges since I run out of time to post all the rest of the stuff. I am not sure I'll be able to keep up this level of exercise, but I am gonna try! I keep thinking of Ali on the Biggest Loser and how hard she must have worked for how incredible she looked at the end. I have a wedding to attend at the end of June in LA, and I would LOVE to fit nicely into a dress that I currently own. That is my mini-goal. Need to lose about 11-13 lbs to be there, so I'm going for it! My hips tend to go down 1 inch for every 10 pounds I lose (or gain...but THAT is never happening AGAIN!)

That's my check in for today!

Terri in MO 05-06-2008 10:19 PM

:woohoo: trooworld! Great job!

I spent two hours in the garden tonight. Hoeing, tilling, planting, lots of bending and stretching. I planted green beans, peas, cabbage, zucchini, squash, peppers, eggplant, tomatoes and pumpkins. I got a little carried away!

Has anyone had to deal with a Baker's cyst on their knee? If so, how'd you deal with it? I think I have something like that going with my right knee. I had mentioned to my doctor a couple of months ago about pain/fullness that I was having and she said it might be a Baker's cyst. Its bothering me again today. I'd been taking anti-inflammatories to help with the arthritus. Rather annoying.

Hey ladies (and gents!)

I'm taking a break from studying for my Accounting final that is due in by 11:55 pm tomorrow (well, technically today since it's after midnight). I just wanted to stop in and say hello to you all!!! I have this final and then one more in History that's due by Saturday.

On a really cool side note, the hubby and I have a wedding photography business. We just started it the first of this year (we've been doing freelance photography since before we even knew each other)... and today, I just secured a booking for a wedding in Montana in July of this year and a wedding in Pensacola, Florida for April of 2009! This doesn't include the wedding reception we're doing in Chicago next month or the other 3 weddings we have booked this year. It's really taking off and I am SOOOOO excited!!! We both LOVE to travel...AND, I LOVE Montana - so I'm really excited about that one. Anyway - that was some real excitement for my day! :woohoo:

I'm not used to staying up this late (normally in bed by 10) but it's so quiet with the kids and hubby asleep. Kinda nice really.

Now I'm rambling and I am falling asleep at the keyboard... I think it's TOO quiet...lol.

Have a great night / great morning!!!!

Purplefirefly 05-07-2008 04:27 AM

:hug:Smurf, I hope you feel better Wednesday. I have days like that, probably all women do, but if the messed up periods keep up I would see a doctor.

It's 4:30AM and I can't sleep :tantrum: I passed right out after a full day of exercise, and evening of planting a new garden, but then hubby decided at 3:30AM I needed to be woken up...MEN! Now he's snoozing peacefully and I'm awake :( but that's okay, I'll be waking him up at 7:30 to drive the kids to school for me, since I will be exhausted.
