he used to do flatbed and loved it, but now is doing either vans or reefer sometimes. The company he's with now doesn't have flatbeds, but he has been convincing his boss to get one just for him, it might happen soon because there is more freight right now for flatbed.

Purple- I checked out her website and they have 5 or 6 different programs that are geared towards different aspects of what you're trying to obtain. There's cardio, dance, low impact, they've got a tai chi/pilates/yoga class that I'm really interested in...so I guess I'll have to wait the 27 days to see how its all gonna work.

I think its great that he loves flatbedding. From what I've seen either people love it or they hate it...especially if there's tarping involved.

You have to strap everything down real good with flatbed, and it is hard, hard work. Not that many drivers will do it, which might be why there is always freight needing picked up for flatbeds. I have my fingers crossed daily that they don't have another slow down like they did about a month back, things were really bad there for awhile and he was considering other options for work, scary right now with this economy.

Good morning everyone! I'm so happy it's Sunday and I have no responsibilities today. I am definitely going shopping!

trooworld 05-04-2008 12:56 PM

Hannah: Thanks, but it isn't as impressive as it first seems...I had went out to eat a couple of days in a row before weigh-in, and I weighed in the first day. For this week, I lost a little over 2 lbs. Don't get me wrong, I love that I lost that much weight, I just don't want people to get the impression that I can lose that much every week! I understand about putting things to the wayside for finals...I worked on a paper last night until 10:00pm. I am glad I did, though, because a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I'll be glad when finals are done, too, so I can really concentrate on weightloss. Good luck wiht your finals!

orthodiva: take me shopping! ;) I am really looking forward to shopping when I get all this weight off me.

Well, no exercise today. I might go for a casual walk today, but I am probably not because I have so much schoolwork to do. I didn't eat enough calories yesterday and consequently, I was starving at 11:30pm. I went ahead and ate a salad and that did the trick. I could always use more fiber. Today is going to be a good day. Ortho, I am making your buffalo chicken burgers today, I can't wait!

I did my weigh in for week 2 today..
152 ,, down 2 pounds again, feels good because I was at a wedding yesterday,, so I was afraid of gaining..

PurpleFly - I saw the shout out!! I LOVE the competition. (RealCdn, too!)

Caitbeans, Ceegee, . . . where you at???

I injured my right hip just over a month ago and my right knee started bothering me yesterday so I'm going to do nothing but walking & abs for 3 or 4 days to heal up.

Trooworld - Good luck with your finals. There were many people on the black team last challenge that lost less than one pound per week. We'll be here to support you through good weeks AND bad.

I think we lost a lot of people last time because they were afraid to post a gain or no loss. It happens. Weight loss is a journey and it isn't always easy. The people that are truly successful at losing it and keeping it off are the ones that screw up AND JUST KEEP GOING.

One more thought . . . I think Caitbeans told me this . . .

On TBL show they had a last chance workout. You can do that at home, too. If you aren't happy with your weight first thing in the morning, get a good workout in and then weigh. It's amazing how much you can sweat off. This is particularly helpful right before TOM.

quickie hi!!

blueyedlvrgirl 05-04-2008 02:02 PM

I am having end of class schedule issues as well. My final is today, but my new class starts tomorrow. School is crazy! This weekend has been full of birthday celebrations, so food has been ok, not great. I will definitely make up for it this week though. Last week I was having such dehydration problems that I felt like my head was going to explode and my eye was twitching. It took skipping the gym on Friday and drinking gallons of water to get caught up! Amazing what my body does when I don't drink enough water. I used to drink one bottle every few days, but once my body got used to get its 8-10 glasses a day, it freaks out without them. I am off to my mom's for the day. Everyone enjoy their Sunday!

Update: My dog ate a bar of Dial soap and is now cleaning my carpets with her :barf:

So the exercise challenge wont be posted up until later this evening when her tummy calms down.

Sorry about the delay :(

Purple _ My DH does flat bed now too. He loves it. Well he struggles when its winter in Winnipeg and its -40C. He is the fitness guruof our family so it really give him a goood break after he's done his hour of service!

Hey Gang,

I only got one post on the first thread, but will go back & "read up". Weekdays are so busy for me. I'm out the door before 8:00 am and usually don't get home until 8:30-9:00 pm. I'll try to do better this week!

I've done well this weekend. The weekend is normally very difficult for me. I end up relaxing on my my eating & rarely exercise, but this weekend I've managed to stay OP and excerised even longer than I'm normally able to do during the week.

I'm so glad I joined the challenge. It helps make me even more accountable.

Have a great week everyone!
