Hi Bluesers. Sorry I've been MIA today. I've been in bed all day with a horrible stomach ache...no fever, no vomiting and no diarrhea, so not sure what's going on. I finally had Hubby take me to the ER. Wouldnt you know it.....during the 45 minutes of waiting to be seen, my stomach ache went away. So, we stopped by Blockbuster so I could pick up the next discs of season 2 of Desperate Housewives. Unfortunately, the stomach ache back again...just not as severe. Needless to say, day 2 of 365 has been on-plan. I haven't felt much like overeating.
I'll try to post personals tomorrow. Think I'll head back to bed. Hope everyone has a great on-plan weekend.
Happy Birthday, Theresa!

Hope everyone is well. I have been pretty MIA this week. Two of my kids had birthdays (son turned 2 on Sunday, oldest daughter turned 5 today), we have a birthday party tomorrow at Evil McDonald's (our options are limited with winter birthdays!) so I already have a plan in place for what I'll eat in the morning and have told DH under NO circumstances am I to eat ANY McDonald's food. I'll be busy enough corraling kids and keeping my 11 month old out of the playground stuff I think.
Hi everyone hope all had a good V day. My honey took me out to eat
But today had fast food, not good i know so tomarrow back on track.
But i lost another pound so far this week.Hope to lose 1 more at least
this week. Good luck to all.Have a safe weekend to all
The dreaded fast food. I left for work this morning with my salad in hand. Got busy and then didn't have my salad nearby. By the time I finally got ready to eat it was after 1pm. I am used to eating lunch at noon so I was starving. I decided I wanted a little extra something on my lettuce variety so I pulled into McD's to order a 4 piece nugget. Drove next door and parked. Opened up the box and there were only 3 nuggets instead of 4. So what was a poor decision ended up not being quite as bad as expected and made me realize once again why I shouldn't bother going there. Again it goes back to food vs product and the product won. I need to get some chicken cooked, diced, and in the freezer in single serve portions for my salads. I'll get that done this weekend.
Didn't get all my exercise in this morning and I only got about 4.5 hours of sleep last night. Off to bed early and I'm hoping to get lots of treadmill done tomorrow.
Happy B-day Purple
onthetee - I do the same thing. I have books or magazines in every room of the house and my van.
chelle - DH and I always split our tax money here too. He is the saver and I am the spender. Usually I'm getting things the kids need (snow pants and coats on clearance for next season) or replacing worn things around the house (dishtowels anyone?). He doesn't understand how I can't save my money. UMmm, maybe because I am thinking ahead for the kids to save 50-75% or am tired of drying dishes with 3 threads tied together. Men!
Current books I'm reading (I think the question was asked here, wasn't it?)...
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle
What we Ache For by Oriah Mountain Dreamer
Toyboy Diaries by Wendy Salisbury (VERY racy book about an older woman with a itch for younger men!)
Having a non-exercise day (my first this week). Curious how the adjustment in my diet will show up on the scale Monday but am not going to peek ahead of time - will just keep my fingers crossed. Am finding eating less carbs isn't really a problem but I'm struggling to keep my fat down. My latest motto (which I can't remember where I heard it) is: lean, green and marine! Seafood is my friend this week!
Onthetee...OMG! Weeding store, lol! Didn't even catch that one...I think I'll leave you ladies guessing, lol. Okay, maybe not...it was supposed to say wedding, lol.
Rhonda...hope you feel better soon.
scgirl...Jasper is adorable, I want one!
Karen...at least you got what you wanted for V-Day! DH is pretty good at putting lots of thought into gifts, I am the one who is bad at it.
Selina...WTG on day 174! And the 2.5 lbs!
Marianne...I love to read! My reads so far for the month of Feb are:
Dawn...Elie Wiesel
What Remains...Carole Radziwill
The Pilots Wife...Anita Shreve
And currently reading, almost finished with Calm, Cool & Adjusted...Kristen Billerbeck
Hiya Kelly, Chelle, Dionne, Nori, John and everyone else
It's getting late and I am a little pooped. Did get in my exercise before leaving this morning so feel good about that. And speaking of reading...that is my plan tomorrow, to curl up on the couch with a few books. We are supposed to get bad weather yet again so don't plan on getting out at all this weekend.
Hey everyone - just caught up on a week's worth of posts. Thank you for everyone's well wishes for my dad. He is still in hospital and will have a angiogram on Monday and have stents(sp?) if there are any blockages in his heart. He had a heart attack last weekend if you missed my post and has a blood disorder that is making it difficult. Please pray for him. He has blood drawn every 4 hours, and his blood platelets (sp?) are still really low but they are improving.
I am sorry that I am not posting regularly on here - when I joined the challenge I was committed 110% and I still am. I think that these obstacles lately have been thrown my way so I KNOW that I can still keep on plan, despite all the chaos in my life. It is hard working long hours, raising my son on my own, making time to workout, visit my dad in hospital an hour away, and still have a healthy evening meal. But you know what I CAN DO IT!!!! One of the benefits, is that when I go to bed of a night - I sleep soundly! In the first year I separated- I couldnt sleep!
Having said that I weighed in this morning and I have gained 1 pound - I know it is due to bloating - TOM, but it is disappointing.
Best wishes for everyone's weighin and enjoy the cruise!
Today is Ds's 2nd birthday! We are having his birthday party today, so I am saving so exchanges for some cake. I hope I dont mess up today! I am really planning on staying focused! I have done so great this week and I am not going to back track! I get tired of losing the same pounds, when it could be new pounds lost!!
I'm feeling so much better today! The stomach ache is gone and I got tons of rest.
Dionne and Ellie - Congrats to each of you for losing a pound! Anna - Sorry you didn't get to see the Monologues. Good job with staying away from the chocolates and wine. I'm sure they would be very poor consolations for missing the show. Marianne - I'm sorry that you're missing out on taking the into to Yoga. Do you have a plan 'B' for lent? Heather and Kimberly - sounds like both of you have planned ahead for your DS's birthday parties today. Great job! You can do this! Zinke - Three instead of four? Somebody's watching out for you! Kris - Hope the adjustment to your plan makes the scales smile for you on Monday. You're a strong woman to stay away from the scales. Don't think I could do it. Cristina - Enjoy your reading weekend. Vanessa - Hope everything goes well for you Dad on Monday. Please keep us posted.

I love anything by Christine Feehan. Yes, she does have a vampire story line, but she also has a witches story line and a paranormal story line. Very very good stuff!
Have you read 'Blood Brothers' by Nora Roberts? Awesome. My Hubby read that one, too.
I've also been catching up on some Dean Koontz. However, I can't find his book 'Odd Thomas' in the stores. I may have to break down and go on-line to find it. I've heard that this trilogy of his is really good.
I love the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning. Hot stuff! But, her book 'Darkfever' is especially good. This one is about the fey and sidhe seers.
I read about 3-4 books a weej...but, all fiction. Reading is my number one relaxation method, so I just want to sit back and enjoy the story.
Well, its the weekend again...my hardest time for staying on-plan. Last weekend, I did well because I kept myself busy cleaning house. I think I'll do that again. So, I'm off to spend some quality time with the vacuum.
Hope everyone has a great on-plan weekend. GO BLUE!

I read thru all the posts, didn't make notes but trying to remember what to say to everyone..lol.
Ok, so purple is Theresa?? (making notes to help me remember names, helped me alot last challenge.) Happy Late Bday!!!!
Rhonda! Yay!!! That's great!!! You made it thru day 2 but so sorry you weren't feeling well. Glad to see u feel better today!
Heather and Kimberly, and those of you with kid parties coming up, like me.. one of my kids and then Tatiana's baby both have parties coming up in a week then two more weeks.. and since I have anywhere from 4 to 6 kids all year I usually give up cake at the parties.. just works better for me to save my cals for the coke and pizza. Not that either is better for you!!!
Vanessa, I'm praying for your dad. Hope he is doing better soon. And don't worry, that pound will come right back off after TOM. I hate TOM!!
Cristina, The Pilots Wife was excellent. I read alot too. I love James Patterson's Alex Cross books. Omg, so good. But usually I like non-fiction, biographies, etc. Usually about great ppl who were the first to do something, I guess I like seeing the strength and perseverance it takes to get things done sometimes. And I love reading about people who just write about their lives, it's better than soap operas! LOL!
Dionne, I'm so sleepy too! My babies here were sleeping better then Emily got sick with ear infections and poor thing keeps waking now. One day we will get sleep again tho!!! It HAS to happen, right?
Zink, Awwww what a disappointment! Only 3, that's not enough. 6 nuggets tho isn't a bad choice if you must eat out. I think it's about 250?? I could be wrong but think that's about right. I get 6 plus tea with sweet and low and lemon and a salad usually if I'm there.
Ellie, congrats on the one pound and good luck with the next one!
Marianne, sorry your yoga was full. That is no good! And I love hearing what ppl are reading too.
Well, I gotta get back to the kids. Hiya to scgirl, anna, krisr, chelle, john, kelly, nori, and everyone here!!!
I made it home safe and sound last night with no cops in sight! We ended up going to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner and drinks before heading out and I only had one shot and I took 2 sips off of my friend's drink. So I did pretty well considering. Then we headed out to Have a Nice Day Cafe... which was like dead. The people that were there were scary and it was just overall not a great time like I had hoped. The club scene in Richmond, VA really needs a makeover.
So I know before that I said I was going back out tonight. And I really have a rough time saying this but I've decided that I'm not going to. It's not so much that I think I'm going to get in trouble, but really my oldest friend that went with me last night. I haven't hung out with her since I moved in with my hubby (5 yrs) and she really has changed, drastically for the worse. We went out last night and she was high before I picked her up, she drank like a fish at Ruby Tuesday's, then proceeded to drink some more at the club. I had two of my other friends with me that I hadn't seen in awhile and I was really embarrassed by her. I understand that its not my place to say anything, but all she was talking about was how many men she's slept with and how her and her baby's daddy cheat and fight all the time. Oh it's really depressing. To top it all off, she asked me to drop her off in a nonrespectible part of town at some guys house so she could sleep with him. I'm really scared for her and her child, her family has a history of being in the "streetwalker" business and I really don't want her to end up that way.
Well anyway back to why I'm not going out. She wants me to go out with her and get wasted so I have to rely on her mom to come pick us up. I have no problem with going out and having a few drinks and a good time, but I don't need to get blitzed out of my sanity to do it. Not to mention I don't like relying on others to take me anywhere! I talked to Daniel this morning and I told him I went out last night (he's a protective type) and he was not pleased. So I've decided I'm going to hold off shopping until later this evening and go tonight so I'll have something to do and then I can just come home.
My laundry is ready for the dryer and I'm hungry so I'm going to go eat something. I'll be back later for personals I promise!
PS: Rhonda, just pm me your address and I'll ship it to you Monday
