Good morning! I got through my first OP day in Selina's challenge...though it was a tough first day. Valentine's, hubby being home for a long weekend, andus being out and about all day and not home for regular meals made it hard to make the right decisions. I just kept telling myself if I can't do it on day one, I would never make it through a whole year. I made it though

Pam-- I hope you find out what is wrong with her soon. If she is still fevered today and is contagious definitely cancel the party...esp. since my kids will be there You know you can if you need some help or just to vent.

Kimberly--That's a great loss...keep dropping!

Rhonda--I thought about doing that C25K before, but if my toe hurts just walking out on the track I don't want to push it running. I wish you great luck though, and I know you'll really get the weight dropping off once that hits your body.

Cristina--I am very jealous of your reading time...and Chelle's as well. I have a big stack of books I bought a YEAR ago and haven't found time to even start. I used to read daily, for hours and hours a lot of days, but now there just literally is no time...and the kids would never be quiet enough for me to concentrate anyway One day I want reading time again!

Selina--Thanks for the really great tips, and for making me think this seemingly impossible challenge might actually be something I can do. For rough days, I made a cheat sheet. It lists the 4 basic points of my plan and all I have to do on tough days is meet those 4 things...and they are solid, basic things that are either done or not, no middle ground or "good enough." Then I have a more drawn out plan of things I have added in over the past year, and on good days I"ll be aiming for all those things...but on a bad day I get to do the cheat sheet and just make it through somehow.

Dee--You should join us It's ambitious, but Selina has me believing it can be done.

I will catch up more later, have to get son to preschool. Daughter is taking a mental health day from kindergarten, she's completely worn out

Yay Purple!!!! That's wonderful! Your very first day. Aww, I'm soooo proud!!!

I remember mine. It was the day b4 they went back to school in August. I had been with them allll summer and gained some and was so determined I couldn't even wait til they went back! (no time for ME in the summer) You can do this if you tell yourself that you ARE going to do it. I figure if I MAKE myself behave like I have no food problems, i.e. not binging, not eating a plate full of sweets for dinner, etc, that maybe one day it WILL just be habit to behave that way.

After a full year it seems it would be. Hafta wait and see. It's mostly habit now but still have my bad days. I like that you have the cheat sheet for the worst days. That's like the minimum, right? I have those too. My best days hit my water goal, calorie goal, 100 deep breaths and 10000 steps on my pedometer plus arm and leg toning exercises. My worst days that I still consider OP are just doing right with my cals! LOL. But hey, it's working for me.

Ok today will be 174 OP!!! (That's another thing, I just assume I will stay OP, so I can even announce it in the morning. You don't have to I just do.) Only down the 2.5 still this week but that's good for me. Hope for one more half pound. :

I'm not breathing well, getting over sickness still, feel weak and there is lots to do so better go now.

BBL, hugs, Selina

Alright... I had it all planned out yesterday. I was going to have my V-Day Dinner and still be on plan. Well they ruined the first steak and the 2nd wasn't much better. By then, both my DH and DS were done eating and I didn't feel like waiting for a 3rd piece and eating alone basically, so I was WAY under for protein yesterday. First time I have been off plan in a quite a while.

DH offered to stop and get me something, like a burger ... are you kidding me ... have you missed the last 68 lbs of no fast food burgers ... where has he been.

Men are like cats....fun to look at, but I wouldn't want one in the house.

Of course I formulated that plan BEFORE I met my wonderful husband, but his level of absolute cluelessness is astounding.

Selina, Purple, Rhonda - Alright I'm starting my year (1st year that is) on being on plan today. I've set up fitday to reflect my calorie/ratio goals. I'm going to go set up my blog in a minute.

Karen- DH didn't get me anything for Valentines Day either. We agreed to just go out to dinner somewhere this weekend instead. We did buy the dog a new toy for valentines day.

SCgirl - Jasper is sooo cute. I wanna snorgle him. (that probably doesn't make sense unless you visit cuteoverload.com)

I take fish oil (when I remember) too. I take it for the pms fighting qualities though. I forget exactly what it does, but I know it helps. My capsules aren't so huge, at least not compared to the calcium I take.

Fitday users.....I do not see a place where you can input a recipe. Most of what I eat is from scratch, so I need to be able to put in the recipe. Am I just missing it?

Anna - To get the nutritional info for my recipes I just usually go to a blank day, like the next day, and put in all the ingredients, add up the totals and then divide by the number of servings. Then I use the "New Custom Food" option and save the info there. As for saving an actual recipe, no I don't think there is a place.

Sounds like more work than I am willing to do. I will just stick with Calorie-count.

Yeah, taxes...I was freaking out when I was doing them. I rolled over some profit sharing into Roth IRA this year and have to pay taxes on it - we owed $1000. Now after putting in childcare expenses it looks like we'll get 200 back. Much better!

Happy Birthday Purple!!

Enjoy your special day!

Just a quickie for me right now but I will be back later to do individuals. Getting ready to go meet DIL to be at a weeding store and see what we can find.

Have a great day!

1) Sometimes a quickie is all you need.

2) Why are you buying weeds?
