Muffin, we have to wait 20 days before we can have access to that. It's a newbie thing. As for weigh in.. some ladies are not- but I am going to on Friday's.

Yes hula hoop - its fun - I will never do fancy graceful stuff like dance but I can hoop for 20 minutes at a time now - not the kiddo hoops in stores weighted hoops that are bigger. You can burn 600 calories in an hour doing it too..

I don't get notifications so I just try to remember to check in her during the day - as you can tell I sometimes forget and sometimes I'm just cranky and don't want to subject you to me lol

I don't think there is an official day to weigh or anything .. Whatever feels good to you. or an official day to report how you are doing .. It's pretty easy here..

Default Is it too late?

Hi everyone,

Is it too late for me to join the Labor Day Challenge? I'm returning to Atkins after being off the board (and on and off Atkins) for quite a while. I've regained 13 pounds in a few months...brand new stress which I handled with all the wrong habits. This just won't do! If I can still join your challenge, I'd like to lose 10 pounds by Labor Day.

I have about 60 pounds to lose to get to goal, but I'm in it to win. This challenge can help motivate me to get started in the right direction. Thanks.

Default Thanks!

Thank you, Harleywoman. I'll weigh this afternoon or tomorrow morning (maybe I should buy a scale?) and adjust my ticker to reflect current status.

rho, I bet hula hooping is fun! My daughter's elementary had the weighed ones and when she was in fourth grade she won second place in a contest

I bet it works the abs and hips very good

Welcome Sandy!

Harley, your dinner sounds really yummy!

Muffin, you will have a ticker before you know it! I know it's a pain to wait, but the time will fly by. Feel free to post your weights here and remind yourself how much you lost from week to week.

Tomorrow will be a week that I've been on induction and I'm not even craving sweets anymore. I'm feeling pretty good other than the frequent bathroom trips! Hope that slows down soon :P

No loss this week. I'm not willing to cut calories any lower (I am eating 1800-2000 but I'm breastfeeding and started weight lifting) but I really want to lose those last 15. My husband has been stalled at 202 for 3 weeks now. What are we doing wrong? We still eat around 20 carbs a day.

Ultra you are both close to your goals so things will slow down - maybe decide to give yourself a period just to maintain where you are now ... Learning how to maintain will be a good thing in the long run - Then reassess in a month or two - it could be that you are where your body feels is where you should be ... Or your body could just need a break to catch up. That is where mine is right now - taking a break to catch up - I'm doing what I have been doing and I'm in a pause ... I know why but it's still frustrating and I have a long way to go yet.

Hey Peeps! I have been away on vacation, and lots of new friendly faces have joined since I've been away. Yay!

Our ten day vacay to Northern CA was great. I did pretty well diet wise, but somethings I had to have. Such as in San Francisco, they serve delicious clam chowder in a bowl made of sour dough bread. Oh, and did you know that Irish Coffee was invented at the Buena Vista Inn in San Francisco? Had to have a couple of those too. We were in Napa too and drank I'm sure over my allotment of carbs in wine.

I did do tons of walking though. So after all that and being home two days of being back on plan, I am only 1.5 lbs up. I am thinking that is still water weight from all the carbs, but, heck, yes, it was worth it. Off to the grocery store to stock up on all of my Atkins friendly stuff.
xxoo

Good Morning Ladies, Weigh in day for me today, I am down 2 pounds from yesterday and 4 pounds for the week!! I have been using pool exercises daily to work the large muscles (legs, rear, and hips). I have alot of trouble with lymphedema since lymphnode removal (26 removed)- my PT told me no using my arms or chest muscles as it creates more fluid. So I just go through a lower body routine. I also read somewhere, that working the large muscle groups ups your metabolism. I can see that working as I had some HIGH carb food (pizza) this week and had a loss.
