Smile Thanksgiving Challenge

Ok so I was looking at the calendar and there's like 12 weeks to Thanksgiving. Anyone up for a challenge for Thanksgiving? I know it's hard to stay op at that time and to lose weight. We can see how much we can lose till Thanksgiving.

Great Idea Ally! Let's see 12 weeks till Thanksgiving so I'm setting a goal for 20 lbs lost by then. Good luck to all!

Only 12 weeks until Thanksgiving? That's just plain wrong. It's only June, right?

Would like to lose the last 11 pounds to first goal weight by T-day. This might be overly ambitious: those last ones are always a killer, I'm not getting any younger, my parents typically come for an extended visit in October (parental visit=more food, less time to work out, more battles over me not eating Mom's desserts, etc), and I foresee many work dinners at fancy-pants restaurants (read: rich food and few graceful exits) in late October and early November.

But, nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? Or perhaps in this case, nothing ventured, nothing lost.

Hey! This sounds like a great idea!

12 weeks.. so, I would like to lose 20 pounds.

I go to WW on Tuesdays, so I will post my progress then.

My first hurdle will be to get through this weekend. We have an end-of-summer picnic this weekend.

Default Room for one more??

Too late to get in? I would like to lose 20 by then. I've been doing horrible lately. I did great a few weeks ago when I gave up sugar/soda (the first week was he**!! but after that it was okay).

So if I can hop in, I'll do my weigh in tomorrow. I would also like to try not to weigh myself so much, maybe every two weeks.

Good luck!!

I am SO in!

We don't even celebrate Thanksgiving, but it's good enough for me

Put me down for 15lbs (7KGS). Oh and I'm a Tuesday WW'er like Diana above!

Ow! My goal for end of November is 131, so I think that makes 132 for Thanksgiving. Can I hold off the food that week? Our Canadian friends celebrate Thanksgiving a month or so earlier--I will be very interested in your progress.

Ok so my weight being around 188 (up a little some days) I am gonna try to get to 170 (nice round number) by Thanksgiving so 18 pound loss in 12 weeks....1.5 pounds a week, here goes!

Lets see how many challenges I can get into, woot! Almost to my Labor Day goal but not sure if I will make my end of August goal of 182 since I have been screwing up so bad lately!! But back on the wagon and putting on the thumbscrews!!! I will also be joining the Christmas Goals that will follow up the Labor Day Challenge, hehe.

So, I want to be at 224.6 by Turkey day!!!

No more sugar foods and trying to cut way back on sodas.

Good luck everyone.

Well I weighted this morning and nothing stayed the same. I know I ate some things I shouldn't last week. I got all WW friendly food yesterday at the store so I should do good this week. I'm doing it on my own right now while money is tight hope to get back to meetings soon. So till then weight in is on Sat's for me.

diannawv ~ Good luck this weekend. Can't wait to hear your weight in on Tues.

shelby897 ~ Of course you can join in the more the merrier. Good job on giving that up. I gave up everything not a diet drink but still not drinking tons not had one in couple weeks either. Weight in as you wish so set time but I think most do it every week.

bchavez62~ Welcome and you can do it!

Velveteen~ Welcome aboard.

Lekhika Welcome aboard

seasoning ~ We can do it. I plan on making healthy stuff. Also gonna try and get grandma to have it at my house as it's bigger and safer for kids then hers. I found all WW friendly stuff to make last year and didn't gain.

edzard~ I love challenges as well helps keep me on track. Good luck with your others You can do it !

I was doing well today until this evening. I ate some bacon, which makes me gain 100 pounds per slice. I should learn, really. Tomorrow is weigh day, so I'll pay the price or be very surprised. Let's hope for the latter.
