Hope you are feeling better soon Sweetpea - darned cold season!

Solarmama - I buy the ones from Kernels or in bulk from a store called Bulk Barn if I am feeling too lazy to make my own. It would be great if you could pm me your recipes though - the chili one sounds great and my DH would love that! Thanks

Hi all!! ALL of us stumble at some time or another!! I've been in a funk for about a week and stopped exercising and posting...even though I KNOW I feel better when I am exercising and posting!! AND I said I was going to keep posting when I felt bad!! OOPS!! Well, back on the exercise bike this morning. Slower, but back at it!!!

I HAVE stayed off the sugar though! Last night I had a BIG ice cream craving, so I bought some sweetened with Splenda. Can't do it too often, but it saved me from eating something worse!!!

Default hi all...

Feeling a tad bit better today, but snow is flying outside again (yuck, yuck, yuck). One of the boys (the 14 year old) is home today with a "sore throat". I think it is more of a mental health day away from school, as he has not stayed in bed at all and has been wandering through the house acting very bored. The 13 year old son brought the cold home to us last week. I guess DH is next. I have discovered that BEGAL SPICE TEA by Bigalow really opens up the sinuses!! It has a spicy cinnamon taste. I make a big tea pot of it and leave it simmering...it smells great, too. It's also good chilled over ice. Also, started some chicken cooking for wild rice chicken soup. It's a new recipe I'm experimenting with for dieters who can have whole grains but are watching their carbs. (Using the rice, instead of noodles...plus large cuts of chicken, carrots, celery, onion...any suggestions??)

Hope everyone is doing well.

Mmmmm....I love that Bengal Spice tea! Another good one is the Tension Tamer by the Celestial Seasonings - I keep a box of it in my drawer at work

Sounds like pretty good soup to me

Hello to you all! This week my weight stayed at 145, which I expected with my period coming today. I'm so suffering with yeast right now, from the darned Biaxin I took when I was sick. Need to get those good bacteria back in my gut. I've been eating yogurt with live bacteria like crazy, and popping [excuse spelling] acidopholis since yesterday. And staying away from yeasty foods.

I love spicy teas, I treat myself to a no-fat Tazo Chai at Starbucks once and awhile. Yummmmmmm.

I'm going to read around a bit, haven't been online much lately ~ due to kids on the computer!

I gotta say, for the longest time I didn't like spicy tea, just fruity ones. But lately I've really been loving Celestial Seasonings' India Spice Chai (even decaf!) - It's super delish, especially when I heat milk in the micro and serve it with a dash of cinnamon on top. It's got a touch of black pepper in it to give it bite. Nice, and I don't have to get over to the coffee shop to have one!

In fact, I'm going to go make some right now!
Ciao!

I weighed myself this morning, even though I've switched my weigh-in day to Tues, and I'm down a pound! Yay!

Tea is something I want to start doing again. I have this great pitcher that's perfect for iced tea.

Solarmama, I'm the exact opposite. It took me forever to like fruity teas and even now I only like them iced.

Way to go chicks!

I have managed to maintain despite my crappy weekend eating. I just find the weekends so difficult to manage foodwise.

Default haven't posted in a while

I haven't posted in a while.

We went on a valentines day getaway and then had to house sit at my parents for a week. Of course this totaly threw me off, and I began eating junk and wasn't exercising. Needless to say when I got home and was prepared for a huge gain (I did try to eat healthier foods and smaller portions of the bad ones....honest I tried) The gain was less than I had imagined, but a gain none the less (up 3 lbs)

Which really goes to show you how much weight loss needs to be a lifstyle change and not just a 'diet'.

In the life style change department...I still need practice. I guess it has taken me 27 years to create the lifestyle I was living....sure hope it doesn't take 27 years for my knew one. Either way I am taking it one day at a time, and I don't feel badly about it.

This is mind over matter and my mind is going to win.

congratulations to all of the people who are working hard and making the changes.

Also there are a few people that we haven't heard from in a while (you know who you are) What up? Keep us posted.

Good afternoon ladies! I just got back from Alabama late last night and I forgot to weigh-in this morning, but I will tomorrow. I didn't have the best food the whole time I was down there, but I ate small portions so hopefully it won't be too bad when I do weigh in

Well I am really starting to wonder what is wrong with me.... Some people may find it strange to not understand why they are losing weight, I but am really not getting why I am dropping it so easily, it has never ever happened before. I am down to 145.5 this morning which is just 1/2 pound from Febuary goal and my lowest weight in 2 years. I am just 4.5 pounds from my E-diets low weight.

Who knows.....
