Red face I am so in!

Hi chicks! I am SO in! I'm tired of lugging this spare tire around everywhere.

Starting weight: 186-190 (I'm not positive where I'm at)

Loss goal: 4 pounds

Personal challenge: Get back to the YMCA, get back outside in the park, cut out sugar (AGAIN!) and eat more fruits and veggies.

Good luck everyone!

Default Hi all...

Good morning, everyone.
Did my treadmilling this morning. - 2 miles in 30 minutes....and 6,572 steps! My goal is to get in 10,000 per day, so I'm doing fine and it's only 10am! Motivated to stay on track, food-wise. Just thinking about today and wanting to crawl into bed tonight knowing I stayed OP. Hope everyone has a "good" day.

here is my daily post

I did really well yesterday. I went for a 40 minute walk. Got some stuff done around the house. Stayed on track with my calories (even when my freind brough over tim bits....AHHHHHHH)

It's really amazing how exercise makes you feel good. I always forget when I stop, then when I go again I think "oh, I'm so happy and not craby"

note: keep exercising

Does anyone have any advice on how to stick with your plan at other peoples homes? You know the places your moms, sisters, grandmas, aunts where everything is high fat and they keep saying eat eat eat. I am having such a hard time controlling myself there, I start and can't stop. Any advice or tricks or anything would be great.

So far so good. I won't know if I've lost weight until my weekly weigh-in on Friday, but I've got 30 minutes of my 140 done for the week. Tonight I plan on trying a WW recipe for baked ziti, and doing Tae-Bo and Pilates. My week rotates around my weigh-in, so I count Sunday thru Friday. Good luck ladies.

Hey Tljl -

One way to help with the "eat, Manga!" relatives is to tell them ahead of time that you're on a diet, you're serious, and that you are doing this for your health. Then ask them to lay off with the fatty snacks, or at least not throw them at you. One hopes your family will respect a health choice. Another way to head it off, is to bring your own offering that is OP - enough for everyone - so that you know there will be at least one thing you can indulge in and not feel awful. For example, my MIL is hosting a superbowl party this weekend, and I've volunteered to bring salad, veggie platter with dip, and Cuban Black Beans. I intend to fill my plate from those dishes, and add teensy servings of sweet & sour kielbasa, deep-fried chicken wings, or whatever they come up with to serve that's not so good for me.

It's harder when you stay over, you're at the mercy of the household you're in - and if they only eat cheese doodles and Coke, you're stuck. I hoard food anyway, so it's easy for me to stow a jar of nuts or an orange in my luggage and snack on that. Try to find things that will work for you, and maybe suggest that you go out for dinner or breakfast, and go to a place where you can get something OP.

Good Luck!

Okay, I have decided my goals. I want to get under 220. I keep fluctuating between 227 & 223 and it's bugging the **** out of me. It's a low goal, I know, but that's what I am aiming for this time. REALISTIC!

For exercise I would like to see myself worked up to three times a week. I have been doing a lot better and I think this is attainable.

Personal goal is to put together some of my artsy crafts. Spend more time writing. And stop eating so damn much candy.

solarmama - thanks for the advice. I will try your suggestions.

I went to my Nana's yesterday for dinner. I did really well stuck to it, even desert. But the candy was my downfall. Like any good Nana there was candy in dishes everywhere. At that point my will power failed me and I ate way to much candy. I did chart my calories when I got home. On the plus side I was still within my limit, and the charting heped my to see that if I had stopped at the pie and not continued on to the candy I would have done even better.

I went to yoga as well and I feel really good today, and plan to go to the gym later on. Then I will have met my goal (gymx2 yogax1 per week)

Welcome to eveyone who has joined in. Welcome! And keep us all updated on whats going on with all of you....good or bad....we are here to support you through it all.

I'm down a pound this week. Of course it is probably from not being able to eat, but I'll take it, especially since I have PMS.
