The panic was before - the hunk was after! Shock horror before the show when I realized my only Xanax had expired in May 2003. Emergency stash that keeps me sane to know it is in the vitamin bowl, but never gets used. So, I went cold turkey and sober, got a nice long neck rub before we went in, almost threw up when I looked up at the arena ceiling (reverse vertigo I guess) but then I drank a diet pepsi and concentrated on burping like a lady while surrounded by people. Swooned a while over Hunkerfield, then it was time to go home. Now, if I can tackle WalMart at Noon on a Saturday, I'll be cured.
I used to get dizzy and lightheaded in the middle of wal-mart. First phase was to the middle, where at least I could throw up in a trash can if I lost it, then I knew I was half way to the can where I could hide and splash water on my face! Poor Cody - the summer after my divorce, we lived on roasted chicken and couscous. I'd grab it by the express lane at the grocery store, and if the line was too long, we'd drop it and run - then drive through and get fast food. 5 minutes was about the longest I could handle in a store without passing out. Now I'm a grocery store junkie. NEVER go with me and Suzanne, we're terrible.
Anyway - thanks for thinking of me, I was scared shitless yesterday.
First of all - Jen - I'm sorry things are so tough for you right now. I suffer from depression and anxiety too, so I can somewhat relate to what you are/have gone through. Just know we are all thinking about you.
As for David Copperfield, I saw his show a few years back - the one where he flies. Amazing. I love the way he dresses. First class all the way! Not bad looking at all. *lol*
Jen - I am sorry the anxiety was that bad. But I am very glad you had fun with Mr. Copperfield! I can't tackle a crowded store either, but I enjoy large concerts.
Mauvais - my mind lives in the gutter sorry. And I would have flashed him!
WB Virginia!!! And I second Ellis - not much going on, and still fat. Though I like Den's idea better.
Jen-You know that a lot of us here suffer from depression and/or anxiety. It is BOTH for me!! I have problems in big crowds, but mostly when they are all moving around. Like at Disneyland. DS16 (13 at the time), DH and I left after it got too busy. DS13 (10 at the time) stayed with our friends and shut the place down. He has an anxiety disorder too, but is a party boy nonetheless!!!
Glad you enjoyed the show!!
Squeak-Unfortunately I'd have to be about 6'5" to be the right height for my weight!!!
Aww thanks. I'm a sucker too. I take in all misfits. The abused, neglected, no one wants animals. That's how we got the Cat & Dog too...But they turn out to be some of the most loving pets I have ever had...Makes it all worth it. They might feel that they are lucky that they have me, but...I am lucky I have them...
We had 1 of those in our old neighborhood. Turned out to be the teenager boy down the street. For some reason he got his jollies off by running around at night and flashing his millimeter peepee. The cops took care of his jollies 1 night though when he got shot at by another neighbor & got caught with his pants down. Literally.
Noodles-YUP! All of our cats have been rescue kitties. Meggie was so traumatized when she came to us that she would only come out to see us at night when we were sleeping. NOW she is my baby!! (and a SPOILED BRAT!!!)
It's the med change!! I'm not always up as early as I'd LIKE to be, but since the med change I usually get to bed earlier, and haven't needed as much sleep. IT IS GREAT!!!(For a while there 9 hours was the MINIMUM!!!)
