Ella............Your menu looks perfect, I don't see where you over indulged. Are you counting calories?
Yes, I'm a clothes and shoe fanatic. I love scanning E-Bay, bidding and purchasing shoes. I don't buy clothes there, I need to try those on.
I just got this E-mail this morning and have to share my favorite cartoon joker, Maxine.
PRESIDENT IN 2008
Here we are already discussing the future President of the United States in the Year 2008. For those of you who would like a choice for President, wehave a solution:It is probably time we have a woman as President . One choice is a very special lady who has all the answers to our problems.
PLEASE give it a thought when you have a moment...
MAXINE FOR PRESIDENT! Very eloquently put...........don't you think?
Maxine on "Driver Safety" "I can't use the cell phone in the car. I have to keep my hands free for making gestures.".......
Maxine on "Housework "I do my housework in the nude. It gives me an incentive to clean the mirrors as quickly as possible.
Maxine on "Lawn Care" "The key to a nice-looking lawn is a good mower. I recommend one who is muscular and shirtless."
Maxine on "The Perfect Man" "All I'm looking for is a guy who'll do what I want, when I want, for as long as I want, and then go away. Or wait nearby, like a Dust Buster, charged up and ready when needed."
Maxine on "Technology Revolution" "My idea of rebooting is kicking somebody in the butt twice."
Maxine on "Aging" "Take every birthday with a grain of salt. This works much better if the salt accompanies a Margarita."
"I'm telling you ... she's the perfect candidate."
"The only two things we do with greater frequency in middle age are urinate and attend funerals .""
The trouble with bucket seats is that not everybody has the same size bucket."
"To err is human; to forgive, highly unlikely."
"Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos and pierced navels? (Now that's scary!) "
"Money can't buy happiness--but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia."
"After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching somewhere...you may be dead."

Breakfast: Dry Fiber One cereal, 1 nectarine, 1 small banana, 1 handful of raisins (What’s with this being outrageously hungry all of a sudden? )
Snack: None - see above, plus it’s 11:30. Almost time for lunch/dinner now.
Lunch: Well, combination lunch/dinner. 1 country-style spare rib outdoors at dd’s on the grille with low fat, low cal. Teryaki/sesame marinade; 2 good-sized tablespoons of potato salad made with low fat, low cal Miracle Whip, chopped onions & chopped eggs; steamed green beans, MAYBE an all-beef hot dog if I’m still ravenous. If I were still having them, I’d swear I was getting my period!
Snack: Nope - eating prolly @ 2:30 or 3:00; no time for snacking this afternoon
Supper: If I’m hungry later, will have some Smart Pop popcorn , maybe a handful of raisins.
Exercise: Just finished a fifty-minute bike ride ; if it doesn’t rain (which it’s supposed to) by the time we get home late this afternoon, I’ll try for another 45-50 minutes.
Fun: Visiting w/DD, SIL, and fresh little grandaughter.
Bobbi! I don’t exactly count calories. From all my years of dieting, though, I would have to say that I’m VERY MUCH aware of the calorie content in what I’m eating. If I’m not sure, I do look it up. I think I’m staying under 1400 calories a day. BUT, I’m actually finding that the longer my bike rides get, the hungrier I seem to be, too. I’m also riding faster, so prolly burning more calories, too, which prolly explains the increased hunger???
That's all, folks!!!!!

Breakfast: Dry Fiber One cereal, 1 nectarine, 3-4 strawberries, a handful of raisins
Snack: Fiber One peanut butter bar
Lunch: Baked chicken breast, cauliflower
Snack: prolly none, but will have a bag of pop corn ready to pop just in case
Supper: Roast pork, baked sweet potato, brocolli
Snack: Maybe a Fiber One bar, maybe none
Exercise: Bike ride (IF it’s not raining) If it’s raining, I’ll see how many reps I can do on the Trimrider. (Moxie - Yeah, I haven’t ridden on gravel, which sounds...um...challenging, to say the least, but I have ridden when it’s been exceptionally windy and the wind was blowing against me. Good resistance training, eh?)
Fun: Hmmmm. That’s a good question. I’ll let you know it I come up with something, or if something just occurs naturally, here. I haven’t got anything specifically planned since I’m going to work, coming home, having supper and going to bed. I TOLD you my life wasn’t very exciting. Bobbi! Your yard and grounds are absolutely beautiful! I can see that you DO get plenty of exercise keeping them looking so amazing!)
TTFN,
Ella
