Allimac1 – Welcome!
Annie – will be praying for you, please keep us posted. What a nice surprise from your fiancé to get you a laptop.
PP – you now exercise can be a workout in itself depending on how long you are out and who goes with you. I went out with my daughter when I took a day off and her two little ones and putting them in and out of their carseats is a job in itself, then hauling everything around and getting everything home I swear is more then going to the gym.
NP – Good job on the weight loss. I am so glad you shared you keep your clothes, I do the same thing lol, the ones I like anyways, I have about 4 apples boxes full, my daughter makes fun of me and thinks I hoard them. I do save the newer ones and the ones I really like.
Last night I had a terrible craving for chocolate all last night but had none in the house thank goodness. That is what has been getting me in to trouble these last few months. I usually have chocolate chips for baking then end up eating them, the milk chocolate kind. It was nice to know I did not have to eat the chocolate and I was fine going without it. It was just weird cause it went on for a few hours and in the past I would have just gone to the store to get some, which is right down the street.

Hello, ladies. Nice to see lots of folks checking in. Camerashy - OMG! That's awsome weight loss...you have to come back and tell us what program you are doing!

Ashley - I don't mind breaking my eating routine for an occasional treat that is really worth it. I get mad when I cave in to have a treat that is nowhere as good as it looks - then I blew the calories for nothing!

The good news this week is that a lot of clothes that did not fit me last summer, now do fit (don't get too excited, they are size 16 (but not 16W!). I also realize that I am eating much less than I did 1 year ago. We went out for dinner on Father's day, and I cut my portions in half and was full...when last year I would have eaten the whole thing, plus kid leftovers from their plate.

The bad news is, I am going about this haphazardly. I am not following a specific eating plan and the scale is not moving down. At least I am maintaining..but I have been maintaining for the last 5 months or so. I need to lose!

Allimac1- Welcome!

Ashley- I stopped buying chocolate chips, I used to do the same thing!

Walked for 30min & did good on eating. I'm down 9.5lbs in 6 days, all from having no junk food here for hubby. I think he's getting used to it, he eats fruit instead! We went food shopping last night, I controlled the limit of chocolate he wanted to buy. Bought enough for him to eat in one night. He did have a few chocolate bars left, but he locked them up in the safe. I still don't trust him to lock them up every night after he's done with them. Can't wait til they are gone!

My mammogram was clear, thank God. Just a thickened area of tissue. They told me just to watch it and if it doesn't change, come back in a year for regular mammogram then. Thanks for the prayers!!

Annie, glad to hear that you got a good report at the drs.

Guac, good job on the clothes fitting.

FL, congrats on the weight loss and Hubby's fruit habit!

I did 30min of LB and 30min of a Debbie Rocker walking DVD.

Annie - that is good news!

FL - yeah i need to stop doing that, i do make fat free low sugar banana muffins (except for the chocolate chips) which are a treat for me so I will try to buy chocolate chips only when I know I am going to bake. Gosh now adays they have the giant size bag which can be alot cheaper if it is on sale.

There are some things I have asked my husband not to buy or to hide if he buys them. One was salt water taffee, caramels of any kind are a huge no no for me if I have one i end up eating a hundred more. I once came across his stash of taffee by accident so no more tafee in the house.

Hi gang! It was a beautiful morning here after we had a cold front come through last night. Going to be a tolerable 92 degrees today, but back to 100 by the weekend.

I got in 4 miles of exercise DVD this morning. As much as I love to sleep late on vacation, I am planning to get up early and walk around the resort area at least every other day while we are gone. I'll take on-plan foods, but I will definitely be eating lots of off-plan things, too. Don't want to gain.

I'm thinking about maybe taking my younger son over to the pool for a quick swim after work?? Fiance used to have an above ground pool and I sure do miss it.

Annie - when do you leave for your vacation? Boy I am real glad it is not 100 here.
My daughters baby is due July 8. We both have a feeling she is going to be early and I am really praying she has it on June 29! I have the Thursday and friday off already and that way i can have 5 days in a row off and it would work well for her and hubby too! When I had her she was 2.5 weeks early so there is hope.

Hey Ashley! We don't leave for vacation until July 9. If anything it will be hotter by then. Oh well, it IS summertime. I hope the baby comes at a time when you can spend as much time with them as possible. I'm sure she's been ready for a long time!!

patch- thanks! I'm trying real hard.

Annie- So happy to hear everything is ok!

Ashley- It's a relief when there's no more of your favorite food in the house, thankfully my husband rarely goes out to buy his own junk food, it's always me!

Weather is humid, but only in the 80's. It's not too bad, walked for 32min. this is the sixth day i've been eating on plan, weight went up 3 oz. not worried, just a normal thing.

Baked a banana cake, used my best friends mom's recipe. It's the best I have ever tasted if i follow the recipe to a tee. I tried to make it healthy using substitutions, it was not near as good. I tasted it before I put frosting on it, it will be much better with frosting. I'll make that later when he brings the cake back home. Only ate 1 piece, gave the rest to hubby to take to work and keep it in his Jeep. I'm thinking of making a peanut butter frosting for it, I love peanut butter on banana's, so I hope it tastes good together. It won't be low cal & low fat anymore!

no exercis. My hip, wrist and left ankle {stabilizer muscle} all got iced today, plus I'm feeling kinda sinus-y. I hope I"m not getting a summer cold. The the hip from a LB workout last week{leglifts}, left ankle from a Leslie day before yesterday?, and the wrist is ongoing but hasn't been sore for about a week, then started again today. Grr, but everything is feeling better. Tomorrow is supposed to be long cardio so I skipped today to keep on track tomorrow. I have a meeting/luncheon tomorrow so that should be fun!

FL, PB frosting on a banana cake sounds awesome!

Ashley, unfortunatly, I'm a much better 'finder' than Hubby is a 'hider', LOL. I saw those HUGE bags on cchips and was amazed!

PP - hope you get to feeling better!

FL - all this talk of banana cake/muffins makes me want to have one, I did bring one to work today and it is in the freezer for when I get hungry.

Annie- where are you going for vacation? I was sooooo spoiled when I lived in Idaho, the college I worked at was right on Lake Coeur D'alene and I drove past the boat launch on the way to work everyday, we had a boat then it was like we lived in a vacation place.
Where I live now you have to drive 40 min to some tiny puddle in the ground we dont even bother. But living where my family and kids and grandkids are are worth the swap in location.

Frutilady-I agree, sometimes "healhtying-up" a recipe makes it not-so-good. I tried to put pulled pork (mistyped "porN"...LOL!!) on a whole wheat bun the other day and it just wasn't the same as a good ole white bread bun. I have an awesome banana cake recipe, but have had to shelve it for a while. I was doing way too much baking there for a while. Too much of a temptation for me.

PP-Hope all your joints are feeling better soon!!

Ashley-We are going over to Branson in Missouri. About a 5 hour drive. It's a beautiful area and the little town has shows and tourist attractions. We are staying outside the city near Table Rock Lake in a tiny cottage. Our first real vacation in about 3 years. Really looking forward to it.

Had TOM cramps this morning and slept in instead of exercising. One day won't derail me.
