Hi all - quick check in

Did horribly eating yesterday - did JM workout today and just got back from 1/2 hour brisk walk (little over a mile).. doing better today - sure was nice to weigh in below 145 this week! (probably some self sabotage there) ... grrr

Congrats FL - that's great!!! good for you - weekends are always tough for me - easier when i'm distracted by work then just too tired to stay up and pork out!

Sorry about the mess PP - hate it when things don't do what they are supposed to - shelves falling etc..

NP - wow - that is some serious exercise girl!! You go!!

OMGosh can handle another member to your group? I perused the support forums and I may as well bit the bullet and ADMIT that I am 40!!!

I have been a member of 3fc for a long time and have been MIA on here for what seems like a lifetime. I really could use the help of some supportive weight loss people to help me kickstart my weight loss journey again.

Wow, so many new people. Welcome, all.

I have been very bad lately, hence my hiding from the forum. But I'm back and ready to try again.

I was fairly good about exercise last week--it was the eating that was sooo wrong. So, I am going to count calories this week. I'm off to exercise now.

Have a good day, everyone.

Good Monday Morning, it is a surprising good monday morning here at work. I hope it stays that way. I made those 80 calorie bran muffins last night, they turned out really well. I think I am going to try mashed banana next time instead of apple sauce.

Welcome chrily...and embrace the 40's. Though I am closer to 50 than 40 now. I got this in an email today...thought it would give you all a chuckle

Morning all, quick fly by for now. Was off work Thurs and Fri due to my grandma passing away wed night. We are glad she is not suffering anymore.

Of my 4 days off two were exceptional for eating and two were not. I even made a wonderful dinner to have a little memorial here for my nan (as she lived in minnesota) and stayed on track. It felt so good to stay on track and i had somuch peace too. Today is back on track. Was able to play with all three grandkid on Sunday morning at church, my daughter in law goes to the same church and there were only 7 kids in the nursury for their age and 3 of them were mine. i felt very blessed to have all three at once. Two are sisters from my daughter and the boy is my sons, thier cousin.

it was 3 degress on the weekend and I even put the heat on in the house, sheesh but we are back to the 20"s this week.

IAteit-I just had to steal those texting codes and post on Facebook. Hilarious!!

Ashley-Sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing, but join you in being glad that her struggles are over.

A quick check in here. Lots of off-plan foods on my menu this weekend, but today is the start of a new week. Onward!! Was only able to get a 2 mile walk in this morning. I really need to find a new alarm clock. Hate this one.

I did get some exercise in this weekend, so maybe weigh-in won't be too bad at the end of the week....fingers crossed! Went swimming on Saturday and then worked for while in my flower beds/yard yesterday afternoon. Love being outside right now.

Making barbeque shrimp, rice and green beans for supper tonight! Yum!!

Hi everyone. I'm not often on line during the weekend so am catching up. I'm glad for all the new folks and returning. Sorry folks feel they can't check in after a difficult stretch but I'm much the same way. I just can't stand reflecting on the stumbles and complete falls from goals.

This weekend, I volunteered at three events (2 Sat, 1 long Sunday) to face paint. I used to love it with my own boys but they aren't willing to do it anymore (thought they say they still love it--just not walking around with it). So, I volunteer around the community and face paint. It's rewarding. Though, I'm kind pooped out with three events.

At the second event on Sunday, I was getting overwhelmed because there were too many people, very few who that I knew, and feeling a bit blue. I devoured 3 or 4 pieces of bakery's cake with thick frosting (one corner one with flowers), a few homemade cookies (with nuts, white choc, and dark choc chips), a little noodle salad, a little tossed salad with dressing already on it, and some cheese. Whew. I gained .8 pounds for the week. I don't know if Saturday's food can reflect in one day but the rest of the week was good so it's the only thing I can point to.

I'm really on point Sunday and today. Trying to not get frustrated with myself. I'm staying away from disappointment by wallowing in sadness over my 12 yr old son's sadness about not having friends at his new school this year. It's building up in my so much and he wants to go back to his old school but it looks like it's oversubscribed. He'll have to stay where he is but he's so lonely. My co-worker who knows my boys (and her youngest daughter is camp counselor to my sons) saw him yesterday and she said he looked and sounded so sad. Luckily, my friend just graduated with a master's in therapy so she was very supportive and will help find positive solutions my son can access to empower himself to join things.

Well, that last part actually cheered me up a bit so that's nice. Really felt the weight lift off. Good. I'm glad she popped by this morning.

Walked 33min this morning, the weather was gorgeous. Baked a banana cake w/ buttercream icing last night, used my best friend's grandmother's recipe. She gave it to me when I was 13yrs.old, so glad I still have it. It's the best I've ever tasted, so of course I ate 4 pieces between yesterday and today. Hubby & Kristen ate the rest. Glad it's gone!

Already gained 1.3lbs. probably more to come. After i worked so hard to lose 7.8lbs. I blew it. That cake has 485 calories for 1/9th of the cake, i make it in a 9x9 pan. I won't be baking for a while, it's too fattening. Eating it at night is more damaging for me. So with high calories yesterday & today, I really have to buckle down tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it.

I am stuck I can't move from 241.8 lbs. I can't exercise much as my feet and hands hurt with arthritis but I hurt cause I am carrying all this weight around, kind of a double edge sword. Will keep plugging away. Late night eating gets me.

I can do this...actually I have to do this for my health. Time for positive thinking and motivation!!!!

Tonight I have to watch a soccer game, get groceries and clean. Hopefully I will be too busy to eat.

Hope everyone has a great day, sending good vibes for staying on plan.

Hubby and I had a nice weekend. Best news is Hubby fixed the drain problem! We also bought a new printer/scanner. The old one worked fine but was just a printer, however the new computer thought the old printer was too old! Hubby spent what time we spent at home yesterday on the computer trying to hook it up and learn how to work it, we've never had a scanner before but I'm looking forwatd to that and being able to make copies at home. We did a lot of shopping and running around yesterday, including going to Lowe's twice for supplies for Hubby's next project, replacing the outside faucets; he's on a roll. He also cleaned out the condenser coils of the outside AC box and the AC works much better now. It was struggling before.

My varigated hostas are blooming, as are my yarrow and we have little grape sized tomatos! Bad news my butterfly bush died.

Chrily. welcome glad to have you join us.

Ashley, I'm sorry for your loss.

Hello all - and welcome to new folks! Doing just a flyby here now - hope to post decent this evening. On lunch and sat outside in the 90s for a little sunshine ... whew. Have NOT been tracking for several days and had a few too many splurges in there. Reined myself in today, so hope that continues. Weight up two pounds after restaurant meal last night - so hope it drops a little. Have been very busy with oddball things and prepping to head down to Florida this weekend.

Ashley - sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing, but glad you feel relief in her not suffering anymore.

IAteIt - good positive attitude in your latest note! You CAN do it. Don't let that late-night eating get the best of you...You're right - just keep plugging away!

Man I have got to get moving more! I ordered an excercise dvd called Body Gospel Workout. Anyone heard of it? I got wind of it on another posting. I need something uplifting, energizing!!

Hey all! Busy, busy day here. Whew! I got up and did a 5 mile walk DVD this morning!! Going to try to do that at least once more this week in combination with my 3 mile walks. Planning a healthy supper with the boys tonight and hope to get in a walk around the park with my younger son and our dog. But I really need him to mow, too, before he leaves tomorrow for his Dad's. Older son is supposed to do the weed-eating. They better, I fronted them the money they would be earning!!

My hamstrings are SO SORE from the work in the flower beds on Sunday. Wow, it was worse this morning. So funny how many muscles are under-used in our bodies.
