PP sorry to hear about the headaches, I would love to see the french braid .

I gave in to defeat today, there is rarely a day that at 11:30 I am ready to go workout at lunch then at noon i get derailed, by some stupid chips. Not sure what is up with me his week. I havent felt this discouraged in a while and my pants yesterday were looser then they have been in a while so I ate cupcake afte cupcake.

I did share a secret I have been carrying around for a while though and I will share it here so maybe it will encourage someone, on Sunday at church I shared with the congragation that in Dec. I was at my breaking point and was done with life. I wanted to end my life, I had felt this way before in the past but never as strong as it was in Dec. There is enough medication in my house to kill a a elephant or two just cause my husband takes bipolar meds and we get three months at a time plus I have some anti anxiety meds and get three months at a time due to the way insurance covers it. So I remember going up to my bedroom and I put en episode of Joyce Meyer on TV as I tape the show every day. about 2 minutes into her conference topic she was talking about God's good plans for us ( i was like yeah what good plans everything is always one painful trial after another) she shared with the audience to not give up then she looked into the camera and said God put it on her heart to tell someone at home "dont you dare give up, God has good plans for you don't you dare give up" that was a changing time for me and I felt freed from the bad toughts of suicide. I have felt different ever since Dec. I dont think of giving up anymore and Iknow that feeling of wanting to give up is gone for good it does not have a hold of me anymore.
That is all great and I am thankful but have just been having other issues since Sunday. I want to get back on track food wise and have victory but the battle seems so so strong this week. Not sure why i shared all that but onward we go. Hopefully Friday will be the start of a great victorious weekend!

Ashley- So sorry you felt that way in Dec. I'm glad you have a great outlook now, you are a wonderful person!

Annie- Thanks, I never pigged out 3 days in a row before. I had no idea that I could hold so much water. I'm not on any medication, so I know it's not that. Great job with your exercising, good luck w/ your weigh in!

Dreary day, looks like it will rain any minute. Walked for 30min this morning, we went to the Lehigh Parkway, nice place to walk, but alot of hills. Almost there everyday til we get sick of going. I don't mind walking the steep hills, but my knees do!
Stayed under calories again, already dropped 4.7lbs of water overnight from eating clean yesterday. I'm hoping for another loss tomorrow. Can't wait to get rid of this weight, my knees are so stiff, it's hard to get up from a sitting position.

One good thing about weighing more is, I don't look as old. The weight has filled out my face & you can't see the fine lines as much. My husband likes the way i look at 122lbs. I feel like crap at that weight cause I'm not used to it, no energy, lazy, & stiff knees are not an option for me. I may look older at 108lbs, but I sure felt better, that's more important to me!

Ashley-Big hugs to you. Keep hanging on. Joyce Meyer is awesome, isn't she? So is God by sending someone to say just what you needed to hear, when you needed to hear it.

That said, I am in a horrible, rotten mood tonight! Not sure what is up with me, but I'm fretting about making sure we can afford to "do it all" on our upcoming vacation. There are corners I can cut, but won't know until it gets closer. Really was hoping to be able to rent a car, but not sure I can afford it. Just don't want the wear and tear on my car OR for it to break down so far from home.

I've done well on food today and am now sitting here fighting the urge to pig out, even if it is on "good" stuff....it wouldn't be good for me. I may just go to bed early.

thanks Annie, yes I love Joyce Meyer, she is so real and has been thru so much in her own life that if she can change and have fun and enjoy her life than anyone can!!! I especially love when she shares about how hard it was for her to quit smoking, it gives the rest of us hope to quit binge eating!

I pray for you that your vacation would go great, I do understand the worries we get before vacations it is like we are so scared something will go wrong but I pray you would have peace from now till then and a whole lot of fun on your vacation. How far are you driving, I have taken older cars on 1500 mile journeys over and over again. Once when I was travelling with my sister, we both had our cars as we lived in different provinces at the time, my car broke down in the middle of nowhere, I am not telling you to scare you but to give you hope, I was near broke but had some room on a credit card. We had triple aaa so they came and towed us 90 kms to the nearest town and we found a car fix it shop open and they got the part in I needed (cant remember what is was) and were on our way within two hours, the hard part was we were on a 10 hour drive that day and to be delayed for that long and we had already made a couple stops to go hike we got back to my house at 2 in the morning. But it worked we did it. So in saying all that if and a big IF here, your car broke down God would make a way for you to get it fixed.

I was also once alone in Vancouver BC with my kids when they were younger and my car broke down right before I was to get on the highway to head home an hour from there. I blew a hose. They guy behind me stopped and got out to help and I coasted to the nearest gas station and there was a fix it place a block away and he ordered the part and I was on my way in two hours. God takes care of us, even in situations like these. Hope the rest of your evening went well last night!

I just went and took my lunch at 8:30 this morning so I could go work out, it wasnt raining and was very nice in so I got my "lunch" in early.

guacamole- please don't binge, It's so hard on your body. I found that out the hard way.

Weird weather today, sun then rain, cloudy then sun again. We got caught in a downpour during our walk this morning, it wasn't that warm out, I was wet & cold, we walked for 30min. Did good w/ eating & dropped another 2.2lbs. I think all the water weight is gone now, rest is fat.

I found out I have hypoglecemia (low blood sugar) I's a certain type you get from consuming a large amount of sugar carbs at one time or throughout the day. I always get night sweats while I'm sleeping after a day of eating alot of junk food, recently the day after a binge, I've been having symptoms of low blood sugar in the morning after I get up. Get drenched in cold sweat & feel like I'm going to pass out. I always grab a plum and sit to eat it, then the symptoms go away. I know my limit now, with how much sweets my body can handle. The whole process your body does to keep blood sugar stabilized is amazing, but some people can't handle as much as others. I am capable of eat a crazy amount of sugar in one day, it's going to stop right now!!! Health is more important!

Back here after nearly two weeks' gone - It's been so busy and now that we're not to log in on diff websites at work, it's hard. I'm going to try to stay more in tune here, though - i missed it. Hit ww meeting this morning and down 1.8 pounds. But missed the last two, so it's over a few weeks. I'm happy in that I'm down 13 pounds since I got married so finally getting back to where I need to be. S-L-O-W-L-Y but I know it's fat as my clothes are fitting much better and able to get in more that I couldn't fit into since two years ago!! Yes, I keep clothes a long time - some are 8 years old but I like some of them so want to keep.

Hope everyone is doing well - need to check through the pages and catch up!

Walked 30min and did good with eating. I'm down another 1/2 lb. didn't expect that. Today was fruit shopping day, my favorite day of the week. Got really good deals, went to two places and only spent $17.50, got so much fruit, hope I can eat it all before it spoils, I'm gonna make a fruit salad tonight!

We took April for a short walk in the shaded park, not much shade at 9am however, the sun was under and around the trees. We were able to go a little further this time which is good for her leg; we try to add a little more each time in addition to the daily rounds of the backyard.

Other than that no formal exercise other than shopping! We grilled chicken, corn, and peach halves for dinner tonight..

NP, nice to have you check in

Well, lots going on here! My home computer went kaput with a virus. My fiance surprised me with a new laptop today!! So excited. With the service plan we got with it, I can get my PC fixed and store it away for a back up after I get all the pics, etc. off of it.

So on Thursday night I found a lump in my right breast. I couldn't get in anywhere Friday for a mammogram so I am going tomorrow at 2:30. I would appreciate all prayers and good thoughts. I have a bad feeling, but I'm sure that is natural.

Weightwise, I was down to 154 yesterday morning. I have had two big, off plan meals since then but have been sensible the rest of the time. So hoping to keep that weight and maybe even see more gone by the end of the week.

Didn't get any exercise in this weekend. Have spent alot of time keeping my flowers from dying in this heat. It was 104 yesterday with a hot wind. Feels like August already. Hate it!

Vacation plans are coming along. A good friend gave me a code to get a better price on a car rental than I found on my own.

I've spent the evening prepping my food for the week. I've started cutting up jicama to put in my salads sometimes. Does anyone know if jicama is a starch?? I don't want to eat too much of it. All the veg I normally use are great. I also started buying the boxed salad greens to add to my regular bagged stuff. I've been getting the arugula/spinach in the box and it is delicious. The arugula has a really good flavor to it. I also have been chopping up leftover cilantro or parsley to throw in, too.

Sorry not doing personals for everyone. I'm kind of tired!

Annie- I hope everything is ok, please try not to worry too much til you have the results.

Walked for 30min. & did good with eating. I think I'm getting in the swing of things again, the blood sugar issue really scares me, I don't think I'll be eating excessive amounts of junk food in one day anymore. I now realize how bad it is for your health.

We took our parents out to a early dinner for Father's Day then went by Hubby's parents house to see his parents; Dad is doing better but still not in very good heath. This week has been weird because of the change in Hubby's off days, just enough to keep me confused about what day it is.

I did Leslie's Four Fast Miles for the first time in two years. I've been following the trend of short intense cardio but decided to try longer steady state workouts so have dusted off my Leslie's. I'm not a big fan of cardio in the first place so there's a little dread factor in close to an hour of cardio. Also I'm a klutz so anything like dance or complicated steps confuse and frusterate me.

Annie, I'm sorry to hear about the lump, but I will be praying for you. Funny you mention jicama, I got to taste it for the first time tonight. Mom had some on her salad; reminded me of water chestnuts.

Hi folks, just popped in to meet up with others of my own age!!!

I am 45, living in Ireland, and have been overweight (ok, lets say it as it is, I have been FAT) since my teens. Over the years I've tried lots of different diets, lost 3 stone, put on 4, lost 2 put on 3 etc. etc. etc. I used to say to people I wasn't over weight I was under height!!! You have to laugh at yourself but sometimes I laughed at myself way too much.

Had an operation on one of my feet 2 months ago and I am only now getting back to walking .... sat on my butt for most of those 2 months and ate and ate and ate.

BUT I've had enough ..... started on the Dukan Diet last week and I have found that being off carbs really suits me .... I used to find that even after a lunch or dinner with carbs I still wouldn't be satisfied. I am now feeling less bloated, less sluggish and positive that this is the last diet I will ever be on!!!!

Looking forward to catching up with you all.
