This morning while I was getting ready to go to my luncheon I broke my glasses. I was trying to wipe off the lenses and broke off the little bar that holds the nosepad on the right side. I can still wear them, but I need to get them fixed. It being Wed my optometrist is closed so we'll go in tomorrow.

I did Leslie's 5mile Advanced Walk.

patch- sorry about your glasses. The p.b frosting went well with the banana cake, I never had that combo before with cake. Hubby didn't like it, but he's picky!

Ashley- I've never seen huge bags of choco chips around here, glad they don't have them, LOL

Annie- Pork "porn", funny, funny! After two years of trying to bake healthier, I never get it right. I stopped baking since New Years, until now. It's too tempting, but I love to bake & cook. I'm not going to stop for a while, I still want to experiment w/ substitutions.

Humid weather again, real feel temp. was 97. Walked 35min. Did good w/ eating, banana cake was locked up in the safe since last night. I don't think anyone is going to eat it. When I bake, I just want 1 piece to taste how it got. I depend on hubby & daughter to eat the rest & they are picky eaters, I'm not.
I'm 4 lbs away from maintenance goal, I'm not going to blow it now, I'm too close. So I'm trying hard, didn't have any processed junk for 8 days! That's why I'm baking my own if I want something sweet, I know what's in it that way.

Did ok with my eating this week and found that I lost 1 lb. It's only 1 lb, but it represents a break from the plateau at 189 that I've been at since I started posting here again. It's the little things that have to keep me motivated!!!

Congrats, Guac! All those single pounds add up!!

Sorry about your glasses, PP!

I'm sitting here trying to ignore the fact that there is Chick-Fil-A in the breakroom for lunch. Love it, but I am really trying to stick to plan knowing vacation starts July 9 and that I will be eating many off plan things then. I'd rather have it then than now.

I have a hot evening ahead of me. Have to do some unexpected work in my flower beds after work. Need to get it done tonight. Also had planned to clean my bathrooms, but not sure if I will feel up to that after sweating it out in the flowers. We'll see...

Back again after a week of out-of-state conference in my home town, Minneapolis. I was in a hotel for four days (3 nites) and worked out in their gym each day--it was awesome. It was balanced out with high calorie foods, but for the most part it was pretty balanced. The only problem was two events with family (aunt's 80th birthday and niece's high school graduation). Since I mention those, I'll also say it was great to spend Father's Day with my dad and visit with an out-of-state cousin in for his mom's 80th.

I'm still on R&R for my shoulder so I'm working out in a modified exercise plan--jogging in place at home on thick carpet (doubled) but no arm movements. I'm trying to stay at around 1250 to 1300 calories and have been good since I returned. Hopefully on Sunday, I'll see a pound loss (aiming low).

I have the 'frameless' glasses so all they have to do is replace the nose bridge part which they will be able to do tomorrow! Frankly, I can't even tell that they are broken except they keep sliding down my nose.

I did a 65min cardio workout. I'm trying to add more cardio...don't I sound thrilled???

Guac, good job breaking the plateau!

FL, Hubby doesn't like banana so no point in making a big cake for us, but the next 'event' I'm going to give that a try!

Walked 32 min & did good with eating except i went over my calorie limit, not intentionally. I ate the rest of the cool whip, dipping strawberries in it. When I added up how many calories I had just eaten, I was shocked! Totally not worth the calories, I don't even like it really. The strawberries tasted better than the cool whip! At least it was the fat free kind. Had to throw the cake away, I forgot that the p.b, cool whip icing needed to be refrigerated. It was in hubby's safe, when he got it out this morning it was yucky! So I tossed it. Oh well, at least i didn't have anymore of it & I didn't blow my weight loss.

Hey everyone!! I am so glad it's Friday. Seems like time is at a standstill since I've been looking forward to vacation. I'm as bad as a little kid when it comes to things like that.

I'm going out to fiance's for the weekend. Not sure what we'll do for food, but looks like pizza for tonight.......not really what I had in mind.

I got 3 miles of exercise in this morning. I sure am sore from working in the flower bed last night, even the short time I spent out there. But it's a good kind of sore.

What is everyone doing this weekend?? It's going to be 100 degrees here for at least the next week.

Walked 50min & did good eating healthy. Not much going on this weekend, hubby's Jeep is getting fixed & I'll be without a car tomorrow. I'm thinking of walking to the farmer's market, it's 2.5mi. away. I'm afraid my knees won't be able to handle 5 mi total, plus my morning walk. Weather is supposed to be cooler & less humid tomorrow, so maybe.

Have a great weekend!

Default Down 7 more lbs!

Had my weigh in today and I lost 7 more! So excited. Last diet I went on, I was in my early 30s and it came off really fast. I don't expect this to keep up. I know that the first 10 days was a lot of water weight. So, I was very happy with 7 lbs with this past 10 days! I did eat a piece of pizza tonight. It was so satisfying. And I stopped at that one piece, which was a victory for myself.

Oh - and the other night, I was hit on by a man at Starbucks! I was completely flattered. That hasn't happened in at least a decade!

Hi everyone! You all are doing a great job. Congrats to CameraShy on your big loss!!

Spent the weekend out at fiance's. It was so hot we didn't do much. Still working to come up with a house plan. Food was not terrible, but not completely on plan. Had a little issue while sitting around on Sat. night. I had some of my 100 cal. snacks with me and I just kept eating them....I had 3 packs before I finally stopped. Weird.

Had to take fiance's dog in to the vet yesterday. He is 12 and has arthritis/joint issues and suddenly could hardly walk. Of course when he saw he was going for a car ride, he turned into a 2 month old puppy jumping around. Anyway, just a flare up, but we were worried about him. He literally acted crippled all day Saturday.

Trying to figure out supper for tonight. Not sure who all is going to be there but want something simple and fairly light. Don't want to spend much time in the kitchen cooking OR cleaning up. May get us a roasted chicken at the deli and make something to go with it.
