Hey all! Just a quick check in. Leaving work early today and am ready for a 3-day break from work. Extra day with fiance, too.

Weight stayed the same this week. At least no gain, huh? Hopong to stick close to plan over the weekend. We'll probably do hamburgers, but am going to try to sneak in some grilled boneless pork chops or chicken, too.

A hot day again, fine with me. I live for this weather! Did 40min of wogging( taking turns jogging & walking) I was soaking wet when we got done, but it felt great. Gotta clean yet and my knee is stiff, should be fun. Still eating clean even though hubby challenged me today. He wanted me to get him Italian ice w/ custard at Rita's, yes I actually ordered it and payed for it without even wanting my own. Lost 4 more ounces, I know Memorial Day won't be a food disaster for sure, it will be my fruit fest!

News on the old computer. Our hard drive failed. Its dead. Tech friend of Hubby's can't even get our files off. Not a great loss but I had recipes, knitting patterns and all sorts of things in Word. Most of which I had printed out and could scan back in. Since we have to buy a printer I'm 'putting a flipper down' that it has to have a scanner.

I did 45min cardio followed by lunch then did 45min upper body.

Hello! Busy work day - and ended up having to run back to the office tonight for a small issue. Now to get into cleaning and getting a head start on the weekend. I have a ton I can do - no shortage there of chores!

Have eaten well again today, but when I weighed this morning, told me i prob won't be seeing a loss at ww tomorrow. Frustrated.

Ordered a carpet cleaner - shipped/arrived in one day (and with free shipping - I thought it'd be on the back of a burro with getting that shipped free!) ... so we'll be trying that out on all the pet and people spots.

LOVING the smoothies in the mornings with the no sugar added carnation instant breakfast mix - i'm adding a bit of cocoa, frozen banana or frozen cherries and a bit of sweetener too ... really liking them! Now want to find the vanilla ones. Adds the protein and the milk's protein, too. Don't eat much meat at all and this helps.

Hubby's working tonight - you'd think I'd be motivated to get things CLEANED UP ... still waiting for that motivation to kick in!

np--I am trying to do something for breakfast everyday. have never been a breakfast person so smoothies are working well for me. Also got some herbal remedies that hopefully will help my perimenopausal irritability and lack of energy. I find liquid drops and powder work better than pills that I have to choke down so putting them in the smoothie is working well.

PP--I would like to get a scanner to scan some old pics on to a disk.

fl--wogging...I love it, it's exactly what I do, I am looking forward to the day I can actually jog up my hill!!

Annie-no gain is better than a gain I always say!

Ashley--trying to conquer the problems I am having with the weight loss, binging & mindless grazing are at the top of my list of issues..

Kitty--hello, hope you have agreat weekend too!

iradajnos--teenage years are the worst, but sorry to say then they move out and give you all kinds of other problems....motherhood never ends

glad everyone made it through the storms..this weather pattern has been crazy..going to take the boys tohttp://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclands/western/washington.asp

the trail isnt to bad even though it is uphill and then we will go up the momument where we can see for miles..

Planning on cardio and yoga today. I need to clean house also, but like NP I'm waiting for the motivation. As messy as the house looks I'd think looking around would be enough motivation but not so far.

With the hotter weather I"ve started breakfast shakes also. I start with a banana, add choc protein powder and fiber powder, then add milk.

FL, wogging is cute. I read a novel once where the main character called her jogs a 'brisk waddle'.

I did a hodgepodge of workouts from On Demand today. I would start a workout then move on to something else; I just wasn't really impressed enough to finish anything. It worked out to 40min cardio and 20 min yoga however.

jules-I can make it up short hills that aren't too steep! lol
patch- brisk waddle! funny, lol

Did 30min of wogging, I'm noticing i can run a farther distance without stopping now than when I started 3 days ago. Lovely weather, about 81 and breezy. Still eating clean but don't feel as strong willed, I hope I don't fall off the wagon! gotta get determined!

I like the wogging idea and brisk waddle, too. I'm so glad to check in before heading off to an afternoon outdoors bbq party. I was inspired to eat a little yogurt and fresh blueberries. I'll drink tons of water to fill up and bring some air popped popcorn to munch on.

Thanks for the support and ideas. This morning I called my 10 yr old (younger son) to the kitchen as was going to surprise him with an offer of blueberries and yogurt but he ignored me and went to his bedroom. I called him back told him it's disrespectful and hurtful to ignore me. I told him no tv or computer before we left for the museum. A little while later on his own, he came to me while I was brushing teeth to give a quick hug and said he was sorry for being disrespectful. It was really nice.

iaradajnos- That was nice of you son to do. How could he pass up yogurt and blueberries? I crave yogurt and fruit everyday, I practically live on that!

Today went well, Went to the Farmer's Market & grocery store. Saw all these goodies, almost bought some. Changed my mind and walked away, I made it. I feel confident now that I can get through the weekend without junk food.

Yesterday's bbq was tough as I didn't stay inside my goal calories but did withstand almost all temptations. I took a small bite of the home-made brownies my son made (an un-goal but at least not anything dire) and ate plain tortilla chips (another un-goal as I was merely munching to avoid eating all the rest of the food).

Today's weigh in was not a loss week. As so many others have said on the various threads here, though, at least it wasn't a gain week. It does buckle me down further as I know I cannot see further success as I've been enjoying if I don't stay firm. Seriously for me, I have to be 100% because anything less keeps me treading water in the deep end and not getting closer to the pool's edge. I may not be sinking but I'm still not anywhere else either. Time to keep moving onwards.

The goals these next two weeks are to stay at 1300 cals per week, walk 3-5 miles a day and get in aerobics. My challenge is that I can't do my normal routine because I'm resting a chronic injured shoulder I thought was arthritis. If I can rest is very well, I may be able to get back up to speed faster. So, I really have to find healthy aerobics that won't hurt my knees or my shoulder. That'll keep me occupied!

I feel bad to be glad that all our plans with friends have fallen through for Memorial Day. I won't be faced with temptations. Neither will I get to enjoy time with friends which is something I need too. I'll pull out my banjo--which I've often had to ignore--and get some fun time in anyway working on that. Take in small successes and I'll build up to big ones.

Hubby and I plan on taking April to a local shaded park for her PT, then taking a hike in the woods ourselves.

Hey gang! Hope you all are enjoying the long weekend. Not doing much here. Just cooking and eating w/ fiance. Last night we did grilled chicken breast, a new recipe for a summer veg saute/salad type thing that was OUTSTANDING and some garlic bread. Delicious and healthy/light, too. Tonight is grilled steak, roasted potatoes, cuc/onion/tomato salad and garlic bread. I also baked a home made banana cake w/ cream cheese frosting. I've had 3 pieces so far. Hoping eating wisely the rest of the time will help me not to gain this week. I am leaving the leftover cake w/ fiance.

Have a great time everyone! I did go put flowers on my Mom's grave Friday before I left town.

91 degrees today! Went to a picnic and met up with all my old friends, it was fun. Ate all fruit and plain cooked shrimp, then the dessert came out. Had a small piece of strawberry shortcake, 3 little brownies, 3 sm. pieces of a single layer chocolate peanut butter cake, that's my favorite! Couldn't resist that! Went over calories by 1600 just from eating sweets. I think we are only having 1 kind of dessert at tomorrows picnic, so I'll do better. Walked for 30min and played games at picnic, so at least I got exercise!

Hi...I'm new here. I'm myself back on the WW plan for the umpteenth time. I'm 47 and tired of feeling tired. I am also experiencing some of those "changes" and am thinking that exercise, eating good foods, etc., might actually help with that. So, here I go.

Since I don't go to meetings, I'm just looking for a supportive online group that will help keep me motivated. I'm actually less concerned with the number on the scale then how I feel, how I look, and the fact there are some healthy activities I want to participate in that my current weight (243) is keeping me from.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi!
