Hi guys!!!! No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth; just been super busy the past two weeks and hubby was off
all this week. He just went out to run some errands for a few hours and this is the first chance I've had to get on the computer w/out someone walking in and out reading over my shoulder. My whole schedule is off this week.
Cammie -- I didn't know you were going to have surgery. GOOD LUCK!!! I agree w/everyone else, just do as much as you can w/the weight loss until the surgery. It's all you can do. I hope the surgery goes smoothly and you have a very, very speedy recovery. Did the doc's give a recovery time for it? My youngest was an uplanned c-section. I had a terrible time after she was born w/leaking spinal fluid. The ob/gyn gave me the epidural (vs. an anesthesiologist) and she didn't get it right the first time so did it again. Apparently the first hole never closed up; they had to do a blood patch (Susan B prolly knows all about this stuff!) where they draw a humungo amount of blood from your arm then inject it into your spine via the epidural sac and put as much in as possible -- or in my case, until I screamed at them to stop because it hurt. The blood seals up the hole and your body just reabsorbs the remaining blood. Then the incision got infected and I ended up getting really sick for about 6 months or so from my resistance being low. Lots of strep type stuff. Hmmm, maybe all that is
why she's the youngest!

) Sorry, I rambled off about me again. Best of luck w/
everything.
Kim -- oh the dreaded Chinese food. I swear a person could gain 7 lbs. from eating it. Drink tons of water. I always found Chinese to be loaded w/saltiness -- msg too. Oh, but isn't just fabulous??

I'd wait till next week to weigh in -- might take a few days to flush all the salty/puffy stuff out.
Susan B -- nice going on the physical. One of these days I should get around to having one!
I've been eating OFF PLAN much of the past few weeks. Exercised only 1 so far this week (am dressed in the gear and am planning on going on the TM as soon as I'm done posting here). Weirdly, the scale is still sitting at the same number. Admittedly, last week and the week b/4 I hardly stopped moving from spring cleaning type stuff; mostly outside. I was scrubbing green mold (eewww) off the siding. Lord, the neighbors must think I'm a cleaning freak -- if only they got an eyeful of the
inside! The kitchen floor is currently in a "petrie-dish" phase. Must get around to that one of these days! I also must get back OP (on plan) w/the food again. B-fast and lunch are fine. It's the poor snacking in between and munchie stuff at night that's getting to me. Not pig-out horrible stuff, just eating too much of the wrong thing. I was hitting the sugar too much again like you Cammie and was really feeling the tired, lack of energy. Have cut down on it but we have so much munchie stuff in the house -- sometimes it's just hard to say no.
Hubby and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on Wed. I can't believe that much time has gotten in. Oh, and where did we go and what did we do to celebrate? Why, on a college visit! 2 down, 5 more to go. Really don't want to think about Julie going away. Aaaaccckkk, it makes me teary eyed just thinking about her not being here. Didn't she just start 1st grade yesterday?
Welcome all newbies!!!!
Ok, I'd better bolt. Everyone goes back to work/school on Tues but the kids are done school 3 wks. from today. Time seems to be flying faster and faster these days, doesn't it? Talk to ya soon!!!!
