Okay, I did some figuring about our goal.

I added in the November minutes. Unless anyone has any more to add, we are at 178,809 min for the year. That means, to meet our year goal, we need: 21,191 minutes this month! That's about 684 min each day.

I took a look at everyone's goals, and we are going to need everyone's help to get there! It's going to be tight, but if you're looking for yet another reason to exercise in the month of December (a VERY tough month to maintain momentum), this might be it. We need every minute from everybody to make our goal.

That being said, if we don't make it, I am still darn proud of every single one of us. We are doing what most people think can't be done. I say bravo to all of us!

Alright, time to add my first bit to the monthly total. Jeff and I had to go to Best Buy and a comic book store (both way too far to walk) and to the Dollar Tree. Normally, we'd just do it all at once and hit each store during our trip. Instead, I told Jeff I was going to walk to the Dollar Tree since it's less than a mile away. I don't think he quite understands why I would do such a thing since we could just stop there on the way to the other stores, but he came with me. So we walked there and back, about 10 minutes each way

Personal: 20/700

Group Total: 20 + 453 = 473

Yippee glad to see some newbies in here! And yes, every little bit helps a LOT!

In light of wanting to help us make it to 200,000 for the year I upped my goal to 2000 (from 1700). Yikes now I have to work that hard again!!

Today I did 30 minutes on the Gazelle and 67 minutes of jogging/aerobic walking, bringing my total to 150 with 1850 left to go.

Group total 583 + 67 = 650

Can we bring this over 1000 today? Who will be the one to bring it across the line?

I just got back from the gym where I did 60 minutes on the elliptical, hill level 4.

The group total is now 650 + 60 = 710

WOW great job everybody! We are cranking this morning!!! Go team!!

I do want to emphasize though... for those who are newer at this and/or just not able to do as much exercise as some of us, that is fine! We need everyone's participation, and it is not a "contest" or challenge to see how MUCH we can do but rather to each set our own goal and reach for it.

I am sure there are some of us too who are just competitive by nature so the challenge of being so close to our annual goal but possibly not making it is kind of like saying "sic 'em" to a dog. Others could be overwhelmed and defeated by this kind of thinking. So please do NOT feel pressured to do more than you are able or "give up" because some of us are obviously getting into this cranked up mode.

We need EVERY minute.. and every minute counts... AND it will show on our bodies even if we are not able to make it to the 200,000 mark!!

I am setting my goal at the usual 1200 minutes. I know that this is doable for me (40 mins a day average) and even though I usually go over, it is nice to know that I don't HAVE to.

So far I have done 90 mins of walking for December. 50 mins Friday walking the LONG way to and from school. 40 mins Saturday on the treadmill. Not sure what I will do today (Sunday). I was considering making it a 'rest' day, but we may still get a walk in.

Personal Goal... 90/1200 mins, leaving 1110 mins left for December.

Group Total... 710 + 90 = 800
