Kayley - Just wanted to let you know that when I was your age I could do that much exercise, too, and now, walking the dog can be a big effort.
Sometimes, when I see that you are exercising 3 hrs per day, I feel a little jealous and inadequate - it has nothing to do with you!
Now that I've owned that, a 1 hr workout is pretty good for a broad who's almost 60 years old!

I love seeing your pix - keep going, girl!

Sue

Getting a late start but I'm in for 600 minutes in July . . .
45 minutes this morning walking . . .

Personal Total: 45 of 600 = 555 to go

Group total = 3581 + 45 = 3626

Hpnotq 07-07-2006 12:46 PM

Add another 40 minutes for me today...so far ;)

Personal Total: 340+40=380
Group Total: 3626+40=3666

NoLifeWithoutHorses 07-07-2006 02:25 PM

Between walking and other exercise, another 85 minutes for me...

85 + 3666 = 3751

AmmiUK 07-07-2006 05:01 PM

Personal Total : 300 of 840

Group Total : 3751 + 30 = 3781

Xena -- Yes, yes, you will feel so much better with 50 pounds gone!

And Sue -- 1 hour is excellent, for less than 60 too!

Do you all realize that most Americans don't exercise as much as we do! Yes, we have an uphill battle, but we are doing it!

Remember, it's not a competition!

Let's inspire each other!
In fact, I'm going to stop dithering and go do my exercise NOW! See yall on the flip side!

silentarctic 07-07-2006 07:47 PM

I'm hopping in here :)

24 days left in July, my goal for at least 20 minutes a day, so 480 minutes of excercise to go. Walking stretching just moving somehow. :)

KristasMom 07-07-2006 09:44 PM

33 mins NuStep, 10 mins river walking, 20 mins lap swimming

235 + 63 = 298 mins

Group total 3781 + 63 = 3844 mins

silentarctic 07-07-2006 09:52 PM

70 minutes walking :carrot: would have done more but had to turn back because of a bear alert :o

Group Total : 3844 + 70 = 3914 (I think this is how it works? )

Heather 07-07-2006 10:28 PM

silentarctic -- WELCOME! But, wow, bear alert?!! You live in a different worlds than I do. And yes, you figured out how it works!

As for me, got my 40 sweaty minutes in on the treadmill!

Group total ~ 3914 + 40 = 3954 minutes!

kayleystar 07-08-2006 06:52 AM

Woke up late yesterday, and just got in 10 mins buns/thighs & 10 mins walking before it was off to work. I wasn't going to do ANYTHING...but I knew better! LOL

3,954+20=3,974

730/900 for me. :)

Misti in Seattle 07-08-2006 08:32 AM

LOL Sue, I know what you mean... I could have kept up with Kayley too when I was her age, but I am also pushing 60 really close so we are doing great! :) And as Heather said, the vast majority of Americans don't exercise anywhere near as much as we do, so you are doing great!!!! We are ALL doing great. It's neat too... when we hear about how much fatter and fatter people are becoming... to be a part of a big effort to slim down!!!

I had a slow day yesterday too... 39 minutes of aerobic walking.

July personal total = 632 + 39 = 671
Goal 2000 - 671 = 1329 still to go

Group total 3974 + 39 = 4013

Heather 07-08-2006 01:07 PM

Misti -- Look at you... a SLOW day is 39 minutes!!!

I got 45 min in today. 15 min walking the dogs and then lifted at the gym for 30. My arms are wobbly!!

Group total ~ 4013 + 45 = 4058 min

Xena2005 07-08-2006 03:02 PM

Just got done walking for 45 minutes. Man, it's hot out there! Had to leave Buster home. He gets too hot and then I end up having to carry him home! Yes, he's spoiled. ;)

GROUP TOTAL 4,058 + 45 = 4,103
