I messed up my knee - going too hard on the exercise bike to start with. It's been sore and swollen for a couple of days, so I've had to try to rest it for 3rd and 4th. Just walking up and down stairs at the uni yesterday was agony. I talked to the dietician yesterday and she suggested I try 10 minutes a day and then work my way up. It's just so frustrating!
So I won't be doing 30 minutes while my knee is bad, but I'm going to try to fit SOME exercise into every day.

I got some ideas for what I can do once my arthritis settles down again.

Edit: rather than doing another post: I did 12 minutes on the exercise bike this morning (5th) until my knee started complaining. Might leave it at that today and see how I go.

Hi all, I swam again today for 30minutes. I did a little bit of water weights too.

Hippiegoddess so sorry that you hurt yourself. Do what you can when you can. If you rush into it you may reinjure yourself but worse. Thank you for the link. I liked the article.

I've been doing a 40 minute weights and exercise tape for over a week now.. so I am up to date! lol

I'm so happy to see you all getting your workouts in and enthusiastically reporting. That's awesome! I want to be held accountable toooo! ;-)

A number of people have signed up enthusiastically but aren't checking in....

Don't feel bad if that's you... just make today the day you're going to DO IT!

30 min. every day is a high goal--you need permission to take a day off. But the way to make this work is to get back ON after you take a day off. And if you're doing less than 30, that's still worth bragging about... so brag away!

I hope being a little bit of a doesn't bother anybody... y'all said you wanted accountability! And feel free to me if I go MIA on you. I need it!

Good afternoon chickies!

I hope all of you that are injured can take it easy for awhile. Don't be too hard on yourselves. That will only lead to depression or ugly feelings. I hope that you all get better really soon. I know how it feels to be doing really well moving your body only to hurt it and put your exercises on hold until you are better. Hang in there. You will be back at it in no time.

I did 30 minutes + today. I am so happy that I have been able to.

Thumbs up Exercise Is Awesome!!!!

WOOOO HOOOO!!!! i just did 1 hr of stregnth training with weights and aerobics. I fee great!

This morning I walked into town for an appt with an admin agency. After speaking with the recruitment consultant, something in me lifted! I felt like a real person again! I felt free after all the drama and stress of my last job. Since then I've had this burning, happy-anger. I realised how much I have used food and inactivity to shield me from stress and anger in my life. This is the first time that I got angry and my first reaction was to walk harder and love it and come home to do an intense one hr workout!!!! Also, I was able to do more today AND I kept getting these bursts to do high impact from time to time!!! YEAHHHH!!!!!

EVERYONE, good luck with exercise today! YOU CAN DO IT! HOORRAAAH!

My May 4th minutes were posted already.. At 10:35 a.m. on May 4th.. (30 minutes in the morning)

Yesterday I worked my butt off.. Walked for an hour and lifted weights for 20 minutes..

No exercise yet today.. But, I know I will get it in..
