Starting weight - 308
WEEK 1 - 10/07 - 305 (-3) WEEK 2 - 10/14 - WEEK 3 - 10/21 - WEEK 4 - 10/28 - WEEK 5 - 11/04 - WEEK 6 - 11/11 - WEEK 7 - 11/18 - WEEK 8 - 11/25 - WEEK 9 - 12/02 - WEEK 10 - 12/09 - WEEK 11 - 12/16 - WEEK 12 - 12/23 - Christmas Goal of 285 My first weigh-in! and yay I happy with a loss. Considering my week consisted of three birthday dinners out with loads upon loads of temptations. lol. I think I will have to bump up the exercise though. Right now I am doing outdoor walks after work and (not enough) cardio a few times a week when I can find the time. Has anyone done any of them BL Bootcamp dvds? I have been thinking about getting ahold of one of them, but no one I know has tried them to recommend. |
NightKatt- I do fasting too. I stop eating after 5 pm daily, sometimes before, and I don't usually eat breakfast the next day until 7 or 8 sometimes a little later. I find this is working for me.
I'm not strict with calories, if I only get in 1000 calories one day I'm fine with it because I know I will probably make up for it the next. I usually get in 1200-1500 on most days and have a low day here and there and a higher day here and there. I've decided this is for the rest of my life. I don't stress over calories too much. I don't count them strictly either. I want to learn to eat normally and not follow some strict rules for the rest of my life. The main change I've made is with junk food. It's not a part of every day life any more. I will indulge every now and then but still try to limit how much I eat. This is a learning process and I want to stick with it this time. :) ETA: I also take vitamins now. I really think they are good to take. |

SPINDERELLA - Well done hun! Great job for your first week :) I have only got 2 exercise dvds ... one is Walk Away the Pounds .. the other is Disco with Richard Simmons (great cardio!!!). I havent really been using either much at the moment ... but I have plans to get in included in my plan asap ... the wedding approaches and I need to get a bit more focused :)
ONLY BELIEVE - I definitely am better at around the 1000 cal .. can't believe that even though I didnt eat alot .. it was still at least 2000 cal most days .. grrr ... ah well .. that was then .. and I do find the treats are so much better than they used to be ... if I have a piece or two of chocolate I really savour the flavours ... before I just used to scoff it down. You are doing great too :) |

Weight loss is more and more problem for many people in this world. So i will suggest to these type of people they will do regular exercise for swimming, running and diet. Thanks...eat fat lose fat

I didnt weigh in last sunday! I was too depressed because my one day of junk food at the royal show caused me to pig out for the rest of the week. all the goodies from the show bags lasted a while and didn't help either :(
I ended up putting back on two Kg after that so I decided to get back on track immediately. I did a sneaky mid week weigh in yesterday and I've basically got myself back down to where I was before. Grrr no more set backs what a waste of time!! It's so rainy I wonder if I'll ever be able to go for a walk :/ |

I am hoping to join in even though it's a bit late.... but I just got my scale last night.... and have 10 weeks to go until I fly home for Christmas...my goal is to crack that 350 mark, so I set my goal for 349. Figure I'll do weigh-ins on Monday too...

Im sure that once you are able to get moving more when you fully recover you will see if falling off again :) STARFISH - Yay! You are being really consistent with your losses :) Great job! FRESH FEELING - Hey we all have those days (more about mine later lol), its great you have taken control back of your like so that you havent spiraled that far out of control .. looking forward to your weigh in :) ISLES - Yeah... I keep kicking myself when I have a drink of water BEFORE I get on the scales lol .. doh! You think it doesnt make a difference by much .. but boy its incredible how much water seems to weigh lol. Im doing my measures this weekend (only cos I didnt them originally on a weekend so want to stick to the same day of the week) .. but will post the results up for the measure-ins next week when I post the weigh in report next Friday .. so whatever day works for you is fine :) I think you are getting serious hun, even if you dont do the exercise or have an off day .. you are keeping focused on the fact that you want to change .. if you didnt still have that in mind then you wouldnt be getting serious at all ... its more a case of “getting proactive” lol. Good luck with your tickers :) TIME4ME2CHANGE - Welcome on board! Never too late hun :) And its always good when you get a scale that works for ya :) Im sure your family will notice the change when you head home for Christmas too :) If you wanted to you could join in the Measure-In too ... once a month we do a measure (only a few of us lol) .. but its a great tool to focus on for those times when the scales arent agreeing with you :) I will be posting this months results next Friday with the Weigh-ins results .. so if you want to jump on that one just need to measure your: Waist, Hips, Bust, Upper Leg, Upper Arm. Also keep track of your NSVs if you can .. (non-scale victories). It could be something as simple as a week with great water intake ... or you added some new activity in your day and stuck to it (like taking stairs instead of lift) ... I did it!!! I had a blow out day!!! OMG!!! Its not that I ate a heap of stuff .. But I didnt make the healthy choices that I should have ... It was my granddaughters 2nd birthday party (well it was on Saturday but we were having a party at a kids indoor play center) .. and I miscalculated the food I ate ... on the plus side .. I was still under the 2000 calories (1800 instead of my usual 1000-1300!) .. and it could have been worse ... but I had 2 Chai Lattes (even with low fat milk its still like 200 cal each!), then I ordered Chicken Burger & Chips (I didnt eat the top bun or have ketchup on it .. only mustard, and only had about 6 chips, but it was a BIG burger) ... then later I really misbehaved .. after getting my hunny some sugar doughnuts (which he loves) .. I went back and got myself not one but TWO Custard filled doughnuts! OMG .. NOOOOO ... and I went and ate them both for my dinner :( Ooops! But I stopped eating anything else for the rest of the day ... so when I sneaked onto the scales this morning I was hoping the damage wasnt too bad .. but no . I was back up again :(:devil: Up a pound .. grrrr .. so angry with myself:mad:! So while I am heading out again today for morning tea with a friend .. I will be behaving myself and having restricted calories again ... LOTS of vegetables for dinner tonight :) WEDDING UPDATE: Well .. 9 weeks to the wedding and I am busy getting all those little things that are “extras” that while not necessary .. do make nice add ons :) Sooo what is the latest? My dress .. is ... RED! yup .. a vibrant red! My hunny wanted that from the start .. .but I baulked at that because it would make me stand out .. so its taken him 2 months to convince me that Im supposed to stand out (I had been picking the girls dresses to be more noticable than mine lol).. and I am feeling a little more sure about it .. but its something I am still working on as I have always preferred just blending in and letting others shine (other than when I was performing on stage - but that was a different me lol). And instead of the girls having flowers ... they will all be having a wrap made of the same material/colour as my dress and holding red parasols which will be open! I will be getting walked down the aisle by my daughter, we got her dress yesterday which is a lovely black one .. she too is on a weight loss journey, and after losing the baby last week it is giving her a new focus .. so we both going to be wearing girdles lol .. but I got a lovely Black Gothic looking Parasol/Fan set which she will be carrying. Im having red silk roses trailing bouquet (so that I can keep them forever). I have been getting things to decorate the tables .. so I have black chair covers with purple sashes & table runners on white table cloths. The decorations are going to be little fish bowl jars with a submersible light at the bottom and Purple swirl Aqua Beads in. Will also have “diamond” scatters on the tables, and a little centerpiece that my mum is making. Im going to have a candy bar (mini one) and a popcorn machine. But the main food is going to be buffet style BBQ .. lots of salads (yay!) with steak, chops, sausages, home-made meat patties, chicken etc .. not a lot of everything ... its only a lunch time thing so we dont need HEAPS of food really lol .. oh .. an NO alcohol at all! We are going to have non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice, and fruit juice, punch etc ... after all .. it is at midday .. dont need to drink in the middle of the day .. esp as people will be driving and I really dont like people doing that ... So all of that is starting to come together .. the only things left to do really is get my ring resized ... get my dress altered when it gets here ... get hunnys shirt & tie ... get my shoes ... ummm .. pick up the linen and glass .. go see the celebrant .. OH .. we are having the sand ceremony .. so I have to get the sand, a container we both like .. and then dye the sand cos the coloured sand is rediculously priced lol .. my niece is decorating the favour boxes .. oh .. get the favours lol .. do a practice hair appointment ... hummm ... okee .. so my list isnt as short as I thought the more I think about it lol .. on the plus side I did get the invitations out last week rofl. And ... the new shop is slowly coming together .. hopefully we will be in there really soon to decorate it ... got the soaps coming (they look incredible!), and the cookies in a jar, already have the china pieces ... Im still looking for a candle range that will work with my “high-tea” area :) So between the wedding and my new endeavour its a busy time :) Right .. better start getting sorted for my day out .. gonna take some healthy snacks with me this time.... THanks for the welcome! I think I'll pass on the measuring for now, it was hard enough to actually post my weight... (though I am monitoring my measurements too) I don't really have much of a real plan, mostly eat less move more... but I am using myfitnesspal to help 'count' calories (I am sure most counts are wrong as some of the foods I have here are not quite the same but still pretty close) I'm excited to join in on this and feel accountable for myself for once.... I think this is honestly the first attempt at weight loss I have taken 100% seriously.... and it actually feels good. |
