I haven't checked in for a few weeks, since I've been on vacation in Europe (Italy and UK) and just got home two days ago. I was worried that my vacation would throw a monkey wrench into my weight loss, but it didn't. I remained on plan except for a couple of indulgence days and I did a LOT of walking while away. As a result, I managed to lose 2 lbs while on vacation...a good result!

SW Aug 19: 151.25

Sep 23: 146.00 (-2.00)

GW Dec 23: 130.00

Total Lost to Date: 5.25 lbs

I was going to update them when I found my measuring thing lol, ink where it is but I didn't want to lose that post, I had no clue what week we were doing it I was just winging it. Lol but since you are organized I know to check measurements next t week . Yay now I don't have to go searching for that thing today.:hug:you're awesome

My hunny is still getting sorted lol .... we have a few options for him .. but Im favouring black jeans, black shirt & vest with a gold tie .. and the guys with purple shirts instead of black with black ties .. and one of the best things is my daughter is going to give me away :) My flowers are going to be wildflowers .. but they will include a pink rose for my granny, forgetmenots for my grandad, and a yellow flower for my nephew (in memory) .. those flowers are also going to feature on one of the wedding cakes (my one lol) .. of which we are having 2 .. one is going to be a dairy-free, egg free chocolate cake (low sugar) in the shape of a hill, with flowers over it and a cow and a dog (me and hunny lol) .. the other one more traditional .. a fruit cake with I dont know what on top cos hunny wont tell me lol .. but that is the one we will be cutting. Ummm .. what else .. Oh .. the reception is going to be at a country hall just down the road from the farm .. and its going to be simple and fun .. a bbq with salads etc .. no alcohol except for a few bottles of wine and a few cans of beer for the toasts. It was originally going to just be family (both are small lol) .. but I have sort of stretched it to almost double lol .. so we are at about 40 people now .. havent told hunny that yet lol ..
Hair - getting done at the local hair-dressing training school actually :) Going to be simple and Im going to have some flowers or beads in my hair (havent decided on that yet) and its going to be curled. Best of all its free lol.
Makeup - Im doing most of it for the girls as Im the one thats been trained to lol .. mine is going to be gold tones .. the girls are going to be in the purple tones.

Im off to my bff on Thursday to get the invitations done (gold cards with something inside lol . havent worked out what lol) .. then we are going to decorate the favour boxes that I have bought .. havent worked out what is going in them yet though .. dont really want to put sweets in ... but cant think of anything else small that would work lol. I have to order my dress next month cos it takes 4 weeks to make and send .. ooooh so excited .. I want it to get here .. but then I want to get the weight off first lol ..

Thanks for the great welcome!! I'm down a little from last week, I guess its good to always look at the big picture, because my weight was lower a couple days ago.

I started with WW, then did WW and counting calories to compare, and recently switched to counting calories. Will probably have to switch back to both again.

TUSCANY - Welcome back :) Hope you had a fantastic holiday. Im not surprised you lost weight on your holiday .. I know I did when I was travelling over there .. the food was fantastic but wanting to see everything I was always on the move lol. Another great and steady loss on your journey too :)

CHEERILOOS - Just realised as I was updating the weight chart that you are actually down 3.8lb not 2.8 .. my bad .. wahoo I got it wrong in the right direction though lol. I actually got out a “shapesuit” thingy this morning which has been sitting in my drawer for over a year cos I couldnt get the darn thing on when I bought it but I refused to get a bigger size to smooth the lumps .. if I had to get bigger the lumps were too big anyway lol .. I have it on now tho .. just ... OMG .. breathing isnt really needed is it?? lol ... still .. need to get used to it cos there will be one under my wedding dress .. still a few lumps .. but no little ones lol. And yes .. we hope it will be romantic. We were originally going to go to Rarotonga for a holiday and come back married .. but I think this will be better.

WANNASKIPANDLAUGH - Please dont be sad .. .its a blip .. you have been doing so great, its actually something I have been thinking of, but will write more about that later :) :hug:

FRESH FEELING - Hi neighbour .. lovely to have another person in the same hemisphere as me lol .. glad to have you on board. I post the weekly results each Fri/Sat (will change yours to pounds but keep to kg if you prefer), if you want to join in the measurements charts they are done the first weekend/week of each month (so next week is the next tape measure attack) .. if you dont want to share that is fine (all in inches too), maybe keep for your own records :) Also if you want to, take a pic of yourself as a before .. you can post it (so far Im the only one lol) or keep it for yourself to post maybe at the end with an updated after photo. Again welcome .. let us know about yourself ... what plan you are following if any etc .. we all have challenges and hopefully we can all support each other through them.

Okee .. blurb (babble) for the day/week lol ..

How do you feel about yourself? Not your weight loss .. not your challenges .. not your clothes size .. YOU
You are not your weight, dress size, hair colour, pimple on your cheek or wart on your nose :)
How often do we hear “oh you need to love yourself” ... EEEEK!!! Like heck! I love all of my family .. doesnt mean I like all of them lol .. sad but true.
We also get told Love is the opposite of Hate .. just over the line .. the reverse of .. etc etc .. why on earth would you want to be that close to something that could be so detrimental to yourself and your life?
I like myself. I dont always like my choices .. or what Im wearing .. or my fat days (which fortunately are getting less in my mind regardless of what my body is looking like). But those things are ME. They are my choices .. or just a moment in time of my life.
Do I regret getting to this size? NO. Seems strange to say that right? To not regret the choices I made or didnt make which allowed me to so “abuse” my body in this way. But I dont. I did it on the journey of my life. I did it on my journey of discovery about myself. I did it while I was learning what made me tick. How can I regret that??
But our lives are a path we are on .. that doesnt mean the choices we make in the past are set in stone never to be changed, adapted or updated. Would I ever say “Im going to lose this weight and never let myself do it to me again ..” Bollocks! Of course I will .. hopefully not to this extreme .. but Im not so solid in my head that I cant see that who knows what I will do in the future. Who knows what challenges or upsets I may face in the future and what my reaction will be to it.
Of course I would HOPE that I would make the right choices .. but if I dont?? Will I hate myself?? Chances are if I loved myself to start with .. YES! ... But what if I just liked myself. NO .. I would just hate the choice. I would hate the thought I had given up on myself again. I would hate the frustration or challenge that affected my choice to make the right move. But I would still like me.
Im not perfect ... I have a guilt button as big as the Grand Canyon ... I do occasionally think negative things about people .. then kick myself up the tush for that negativity .. I truly believe in karma and “paying it forward” ... I have been blessed and cursed in my life .. and I know which I prefer lol .. but how can I receive the positive when I issue the negative. I have a trick where I talk to myself .. crazy some say .. but like that joke says “its the only intelligent conversation I can get” ... and who can set me straight better than me!? I know all my arguements and really I hate getting told how to do things by others lol .. might take me ten times as long .. but I will get there through trial and error .. and I do take on board what others say .. but Ive never really been one to follow the tried and true paths to things.
So, finally (sorry I know its a babble and well done for sticking to it if you have read this far lol), I just hope that you can take something from all of this and put it into your journey as something to think of. When you reach your goal .. are YOU going to be happy because of your size .. or because of you? The sad times, the frustrations, the challenges .. do you realise they will still be there, just in a different form? So I ask again, how do you feel about yourself .. cos YOU will also still be there at the end of this journey. The scales and clothes size will be the only real change.
I dont to ever want to be the jolly fat chick if I can help it again .. BUT .. Im going to be the jolly chick finding light and love and laughter whatever my weight does, because I have finally realised that is ME .. and yes .. I DO like me .. faults, flabby bits and all .. Im happy with the constant flow of like ... rather than the ebbs and flows of love/hate.

Just wanted to add. In regards to the team results, if a team member misses for 3 weeks straight I will just remove them for now, they are welcome to jump back in, but as a team result it is a little unfair for the final results each week... so much dark grey! If you are going to be away just let me know and I can note it in there :) Same goes for a 2 week miss if you havent updated since you joined up :) Yell out if you want me to send a little reminder though :) I will note them down this time lol.
