One place I really want to go .. my grandparents went on a world cruise before I was born and I have all the letters they sent back to my mum .. Im sure you can get rid of that add on in no time :) :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot: Well .. love all these weigh ins :) Nice to add so many to the chart :) I have a busy time coming up .. but will still try to get in here each day to catch up and babble a little lol .. Im sure things are starting to get busy for everyone else too .. I know there are Thanksgivings this month and next month for Canada/US ... and of course Xmas ... so what are you plans for the next couple of months? Do you have a plan in mind to stay on track over these busy times? Or are you just going to wing it and hope it works :) Me? Well .. Monday sees the opening of my new store :) So I am busy this week getting the stock in, putting it into the computer, assigning codes to everythng and getting it all priced up. Then Friday I get to go into the premises to start setting everything up .. this usually takes me the longest cos I keep changing things lol .. so my initial working hours will be leaving home at 730am .. getting home about 730pm .. Monday - Friday .. but then the hours will be changing next month I think to include Saturdays and the opening hours will be an extra hour or two .. as Im working there on my own mainly .. I will be doing all the hours lol .. so I will probably be exhausted by Xmas .. but I get a buzz being back in my own store and working for myself :) We are working on building our website at the moment so once I have that up I will post it so all my International friends can see what I am up to over here in NZ :) Of course that isn't the only thing that will be keeping me busy over the next 8 weeks .. countdown to the wedding lol .. I think I have most of it sorted out .. just waiting for my dress to arrive so I can get it altered a little closer to the time (down about 15 pounds since I sent the original measurements) .. just need to get my hunnys clothes sorted out .. and his best man/groomsman .. at least we know what we are looking for lol. Got my flowers, garter, ring pillow, parasol, wraps, dresses for the girls already done. We are doing the sand ceremony too .. but coloured sand is so expensive here .. so Im going to have to get creative with white sand and try to dye it lol .. will be an interesting experiment lol. Have sparkles for the table, all the table decorations, linens and china sorted. Im getting some soaps made for me for the favour boxes to go with the chocolate hearts. Using my wedding colours in a swirl, and a fragrance I created .. so very special :) Will be taking a few days off before the wedding of course cos I have a lot of food and goodies to prepare .. its a country BBQ .. so lots of salads etc .. and I make some desserts .. marinades for the meats etc .. so that will keep me busy too :) Ooooh .. so exciting! Everyone is a little worried about me cos I do tend to overdo things (trying to do everything myself) but I just get caught up .. they are afraid I will get sick and end up back in hospital so I have told them I will behave and relax as much as I can when I am at home :) Will give it a go anyway. I am finding my appetite is really dwindling .. not sure why though. Im now struggling to hit 800 cal a day .. and I know for my size that is way too low .. but I just cant eat more than a meal a day with a snack too .. even my meal is now being served on a sandwich plate instead of a dinner one .. example: Dinner last night: 200g Chicken (but only ate about 150), 200g carrots, 2 baby potatoes (had served 4), about 20 4" green beans, and 1c of courgettes. I didnt even have my usual OJ .. and all I had otherwise was a cup of coffee (trim) in the morning .. and an oat bar at lunch time .... Dinner Sunday night: 3 rashers of chicken bacon (had served 5), 200g carrots, 1 courgette, 3 baby potatoes.... and a nut bar for lunch. Its so weird to me that Im not more hungry .. I could never have so little to eat before without wanting to binge etc through the day on all those bad bits ... but Im not and not feeling the urge ... trying to work out how I am going to get my "meals" in when Im working 12 hours .. but Im sure I will come up with something lol .. I am proud of my consistent loss and no pluses on this challenge .. but then .. its the FIRST time I have ever gone this long with a consistent loss .. usually Im a fortnightly roller coaster .. 2 weeks loss .. 1-2 weeks gain .. etc ... I dont know if its the thought of my wedding .. or something has finally clicked in my brain .. but I am definitely finding this journey a lot more fun and full of self-discovery than any other one I have been on .. maybe that is why Im finding it so easy in a way .. Anyway .. hope all that babble makes sense lol .. Take care all .. weather over here is terrible .. we had gale force winds last night .. scary bus ride home from the city .. our bus almost got blown into another lane twice and felt like it was about to be picked up .. really happy to get off that bus lol .. so just going to be happy to be home today as I have to go out tomorrow, but hopefully this rain will have stopped by then .. baking my hunny some carrot cake muffins for him to take to work (made him some berry ones last night to take and for his supper).... so that will heat up the kitchen nicely :) |

Nightkatt you are cracking me up with all your post! you are a busy girl and your wedding sounds like it is going to be absolutely AMAZING! I hope you will share some pics with us! I can't imagine the stress you are under with the wedding and your new business, no wonder you can't eat that much... just try to enjoy your self and GOOD LUCK!!! I think you must do really great under pressure! I especially loved your post about all the diets out there, you were making me laugh.... I know I feel the same way..... eat meat and eat low carbs, don't eat meat be a vegan, juice for 60 days, Eat Raw foods only, count calories, don't eat wheat or sugar only whole sprouted grains, NO GLUTTEN or wheat at all, don't drink alcohol, drink red wine every night, eat fruit don't eat fruit only meat and veggies, only eat things that were available 100 years ago, don't mix certain foods together blah blah blah I think you are on the right track just count the calories and work on quantity of foods, that is my problem. I am better to just totally stay away from great foods ....if I take one bite of something really really yummy like a pumpkin cheese cake (sorry to mention something so dangerous) I am very much like a vampire and I will inhale the entire piece in seconds.... haha So I try not to even taste something that amazing.... Alicia, I just joined weight watchers, was happy to see you like it!! I am on weight watchers and the smoosh diet , haha I am trying to smoosh all the things I have read together and make some sense of it all .... but bottom line keeping my points/ calories down. Also really watching the carbs. I really find if I eat too many carbs I don't lose. And trying to eat as many fresh fruits and veggies as possible. oh and NightKatt you posted that the Holidays are just around the corner in the states and asked our plan to handle them. That is part of the reason I planned the cruise, knowing I will be in a bathing suit on New Years Eve will help me not eat at all the Christmas parties, I am also not going to bake any cookies or desserts this year, that vampire thing, I am better to just stay away completely!!! If any y'all have any great diet recipes, or ideas of meals that are filing and healthy please share. I love getting new ideas of healthy things to eat. I have been keeping fresh veggies in the fridge to munch on and in The States the apples and red grapes are amazing this time of year, so trying to eat them everyday. by the way the turkey chili was awesome, I used a lot of tomatoes and red bell peppers!!! I have some left over so going to stuff bell peppers with it and bake tonight. Sorry to ramble but I just wanted to respond to your funny posts Have a Great Week everyone and HAPPY DIETING!!!!! |
Hi everyone ... well .. last night I was going to a fundraiser dinner .. and admittedly I have been a little worried about the food cos I wasnt prepping it so I didnt know what was going in it and the calories lol .. BUT ... nooooo worries lol .. the restaurant that the fundraiser was in isnt actually due to open for a couple of weeks yet .. so it was a training night .... comedy of errors for the evening .. so regardless of the food .. it was funny lol.
Im allergic to tomatoes & mushrooms so I find my choices are limited in a lot of places, cos I cant even have it on the plate and then removed .. it just cant be part of it at all ... hunny & my bff are the funniest about my allergy ... wherever we go ... their words to the person taking our order .. "NO tomato .. no mushroom .. dont even let it touch her food .. change your gloves .. if you dont .. she will die" .. rofl .. love them though I do for being concerned is aint half embarrassing lol. So .. back to dinner ... we apparently had the choice of antipasto platter or woodfire pizza ... of course pizza is out for me due to the tomato base ... so we picked the hot meat platter (beef skewers, chicken nibbles, chorizo, escargot, fries) ... we thought they were servings for 2 .. and there were 4 of us at the table ... soooo .. a little surprised when it arrived lol .. the poor young guy (none of the service staff had worked in the industry before lol) came out with 2 pizzas, didn't know which was which, one was for our table and one the table next to us .. so my friend had to guess which one she ordered for our table .. then the "main" platter came out ... hehehehehe .. good grief .. I think it was actually an individual serving .. 2 beef skewers, 4 chicken nibbles, small bowl of fries with aioli, and a small chorizo sausage sliced up ... and the escargot were missing lol. So dinner for me last night was actually a doddle ... (easy) ... I had 2 chicken nibbles, a bite of the beef skewer (gave the rest to my hunny), a couple of slices of the chorizo .. and about 10-12 fries. I did add a few extra calories though .. had a shot of Sambucca (Black Galliano) and a Lemon, Lime & Bitters. Hunny of course was not overly impressed lol .. even though he had 1/3 of the pizza too .. so it was a stop at Burger King on the way home .. and I had some of his Flatbread Tendergrill Chicken burger (no sauce, no tomato) ... so that got my cals up to almost 1000 for the day .. the most Ive had all week lol. But really .. last night wasnt about the food .. it was fun .. and it was nice to get out and socialise with friends and have a giggle :) STARFISH - Hummm .. might have a lookie .. not that my phone is wonderful for any of those sorts of things ... I hate my phone .. love the fact my hunny got it for me for Xmas .. but its the same as his one which I bought for him after telling him to tell me which ones he likes lol .. I didnt get that option .. and apparently as he likes his one .. I of course will like it too .. nope .. HATE it lol .. hoping to replace it with an iPhone next year if Im lucky then I can try out all these apps I keep getting told about :) SPINDERELLA - Well done! Definitely keeping it consistent :) Keep up the great work :) Especially with Thanksgiving being part of your week .. wow .. that means I was over there this time of year 9 years ago ... I miss Pumpkin Pie lol .. only time I have ever had it and LOVED it lol .. FRESH FEELING - LOVE that positive attitude ... I think it makes the journey a lot easier when you can fall back on the positive in a rough week :) Looks like no prob for you this week though :) ALICIA - WTG ... great loss for you again this week.. SKINNYPEACH - Glad I make you laugh ... I think its important .. I used to spend a lot of time on those game sites where you can play cards or backgammon with others and you would "chat" as you were playing .. I seemed to crack a lot of people up ... they reckoned I could have been a comedian lol ... I never really think Im funny .. I just make what I think are observations ... maybe its my delivery .. or the sarcasm .. but its always taken with a giggle lol .. which is keel ... nice to have humour as a positive asset :) I think its funny the observations I have been making about my journey ... makes me wonder why I didnt slap myself round with a wet noodle all the other times I was on this path... to find a lot of these realisations this time round makes me think I must have been some kind of idjit to have not realised them before .... still .. found my path at last .. so just gonna keep enjoying .. opening my mind .. and just letting everything flow. I am not at all stressed about the shop .. or the wedding lol .. more impatient lol .. Im the sort of person that once I have everything ready I just want to do it .. hate having to wait lol. So I have all my stock in boxes ready to go to the shop .. have to wait until tomorrow to get in .. so have the shelves all packed up and ready to load into the car to take down there to get it all set up tomorrow .. then another couple of days waiting until we open .. which will be hard cos now I would have the shop set up and I will just want to open lol. Sunday will take my mind off it for a bit as Im up to my home town where the wedding is going to be to meet up with the celebrant, pace out where the "aisle" is going to be, go through the music ... just having a fun day with my family really ... and of course hunny is happy .. cos the drive up means he gets to stop at Wendys for a burger lol .. blinkin man! Also will definitely share some piccys of the wedding :) Will get my hunny to set up a page or something so I can just put a link up :) Sooo .. today Im off to see my friend for brunch .. then gonna hunt down some coloured sand for our sand ceremony at the wedding ... post some packages, re-register my car .. come home and find something for dinner lol ..
