Hi all,
Nightkatt- Congrats on the wedding! I know it's late in the process, but I hope you don't mind if I join in. I fly home for the holidays on Dec 18th and would love to lose 15 pounds by then. That's an average of 2 pounds a week. I am embarrassed to say that I've done terribly since saying I was so committed, but I'm back to it and have done well so far. I will give you my weight next Monday. I don't want to give up... I was just too ashamed to come on here and say I haven't lost a pound.... but I think I'm ready!

CLEVERNAME - What is the Protein Program? I don't think we have it over here lol .. and you are doing fine .. I remember doing the same thing the last time I tried this journey ... it was always easier eating right when you were fixing for others as well as yourself .. when its just for you somehow the quick and easy is usually the route we go .. which more often than not means leaving the wagon behind and going off on a journey of the wrong food lol.... isn't that funny how we don't seem to think we are worth the time it takes to prepare the right foods rather than the quick ones .. but Im sure you didn't do as bad as you think .. especially if it was only just over 1 pound you went up! My hunny had a naughty week last week and he went up 6 pounds! SPINDERELLA - I am finding I am having the same reaction to fatty or "bad" foods ... my take out choice is now Pita Pit (which is a lower carb alternative to Subway using Pita instead of bread)... anything else and I feel terrible afterwards ... incredible how much of that sort of food I used to eat without thinking about it .. while I don't think about it much now .. I just don't find it appetising lol .. TUSCANY - Wahoo .. you are doing great .. down to single figure for your goal is brilliant :) DOLPHIN - Come on in .. great to have you onboard :) 15 pounds seems realistic and I wish you well .. look forward to seeing you on the boards :) TRYING MY BEST - Welcome back .. hey .. lets start from scratch .. clean start, new goal. Never be ashamed hun ... be proud of yourself for not giving in completely and facing your choices, ready to start again :) Big hug and please don't give up .. you are too nice a person to give up on yourself :) :hug: :carrot::carrot::carrot: Well its been a busy couple of days for me .. spent it in my new shop setting up things and trying to get it all cleared away and tidy ready to open .. only we got told on Saturday there will be another darn delay!! ARGGHHH ... ah well .. at least its given me time to wait for my signage to get here lol .. thought I was going to be opening up without any :( ... I had a naughty day yesterday .. even knowing weekends were when I do NOT go off the rails as its too close to my weigh in :( .. as we were out yesterday I was going to just have a ham & cheese muffin .. but when I cut into it there were tomatoes!! So I couldn't eat it .. instead I went back and got a piece of Lemon cake .. I did take the icing off and I didn't have any cream ... I should have stopped there .. but I went and had half of my hunnys potato top pie too :( If I had really been thinking I would have just had a salad for dinner .. but instead I had 3 soft tacos ... sigh .. gonna hate my weigh in on Monday .. but I did try to be good today to make up for it .. just had a pita pit for dinner and haven't had anything else .. might have a nut bar for supper though for some extra protein ... ah well .. will find out in the morning :/ On the plus side .. I had to go and get measured for a new bra .. need to start looking for my wedding undergarments and want to make sure they fit right .. I have gone down 2 sizes in the band .. but up one in the cup lol .. go figure :) Even better .. the store I went into actually had my size (22E) .. not in flashy designs .. but good day to day ones .. AND .. they were on sale! Got both of them for $10.50NZ (I think that is about $8 US?) I have NEVER gotten a bra that cheap before lol .. usually when I see the $5/10 bra sales they are all the little sizes .. so really chuffed :) Off to get some more work done .. but will post the results for this week in a few min first :) |

I'm actually excited to weigh in tomorrow... I had a really bad day Friday, but have spent yesterday and today undoing the damage and it appears to be done. I might even be able to lose a bit more before tomorrow :) |
Nightkatt.. your store is Wonderful! It makes me want to look at everything and not miss a shelf! :) and YOUR daughter is Gorgeous... but then.. how could she NOT be.. with a Mom as beautiful as you!.
So neat about getting a bra on sale and for an amazing price. Isn't it nice to have your hard weight loss work show up in a smaller size! :woohoo: :) I hope that you have an amazing day when the store opens! and counting down the days to the wedding.... Just knowing that you are eating the wrong thing (sometimes only) makes it easier to remember to not have it again. But... look at what you have done and accomplished! I bet you just about feel lighter than air! :) :hug: and I love the graph.. thank you for posting it.. as I never could bring it up and I know I am skewing the weight in #'s as a few weeks in I found my scale (of 20 years) was off by 14 lbs... so my starting weight was really alot higher... But no neeed to change anything on the chart.. TIME4ME2CHANGE - lol .. sounds like you had a day like me .. I tell myself not to do things bad on the weekend .. during the week Im a little more relaxed about it .. knowing I have a few days to try to counteract it .. but weekends if I start to go off I tend to fall badly and not usually recover .. this weeks weigh in has been a nice surprise :) Looking forward to your weigh in too now :)

I am very proud of her .. she is a lot like me though .. not good with the compliments about ourselves . then again she isn't good with compliments about what she does either .. but we are working on it and she is doing really well with her weight loss too (she has lost 23kg!) ... I have always said she is beautiful :) Im still working on my website so once I have it sorted I will post it so you can have a look at all the goodies :) No stress about the scales hun .. I have changed the number easily so we are on track and you can stick to just the one number in your posts lol .. Hi everyone! I wasn't going to weigh in this week. I had a terrible weekend filled with family issues and to be honest, I just gave up and stopped trying. I still went out for a bit of a walk/jog this morning to try get back into the spirit of things but i'm not going to let my emotions get the better of me and I will stick to my healthy eating this week.

I am not sure what happened to me this weekend. I was hungry all the time and made some bad choices, but mostly I ate a lot. Not sure if I am getting sick or if the weather/temp. change had anything to do with it. I am up today. Going to wait and see it any of it is water weight. |
