Wow, look at you guys, great loses!

I have cut down a lot on diet sodas the past few days and increased my water intake (yay!) However, I'm still way too high on sodium. I don't have time to cook everything from scratch these days so I rely a lot on prepackaged side dishes and meats. I don't really know how to resolve my sodium issue.

Your store is adorable!! If I were in the same town I would come and buy some of those beauty products for my sisters/sisters in law for Christmas. (And for me :)) They would love them!

Glad to have you joining us...

Way to go Katt.... you are doing so well....send me some of your determination.

Fresh Feeling, I know when I don't make time to come here my weight loss suffers.

Turtle11, mhill0823, Only Believe, & wannaskipandlaugh you are all doing so well...:congrat:

This week was good....even tho the #'s don't really show it. I feel much more in control. I do crave salt - don't know why...:?:

Need to get in more exercise but I get up at 4AM and don't get back home until 6PM...so I am tired. I know excuses... maybe I should exercise all day Saturday???????????? NOT!!! Maybe one day.

Yep big ole ZERO for me this week. :( I was dreading this week's weigh-in because I done absolutely NOTHING at all late week (and then all weekend) exercise wise AND since we were out of town this weekend, we ate out for every single meal. Ugh. The only thing that probably saved me from gaining was the fact that I didn't give up on my water intake. No matter how many soft drinks, teas, hot chocolates, and beer was thrown at me. lol. *sigh* Seeing a zero sucks, I know I am not back to my starting weight, but it feels like I am....

I have been doing the LS 5 Mile Fat Burner DVD and slowly worked myself up to up to 3 miles (around 40 mins) of the program. I was actually stuck for the past few weeks at the 3rd mile because it was tough and I didn't want to end up keeling over. :) My weigh-in must have given me an extra boost, because I did the 4 miles today, and I DIDN'T keel over. :) I guess that instead of losing a pound, making that 4 miles will be my success of the week. :)

WOW, great job everyone! I am on track for my goal. Fall in states and eating pumpkin everything, I cooked a few pumpkins and mashed and store in fridge, I have been making pumpkin shakes, pumpkin yogurt, pumpkin oatmeal, pumpkin pancakes, I even tried to top my kids hot dogs with pumpkin haha But really I kept all recipes low cal and FABULOUS!!!! Especially the pumpkin yogurt parfait!

Happy Dieting everyone, and nightkatt your store is fabulous!!! Good Luck! I also enjoyed seeing the pics of your salads, love it that you use so may seeds. I will take a picture of some of my pumpkin diet creations and share!

TIME4ME2CHANGE - Wahoo .. great going this week :) Well done :) I can see you easily hitting your goal ... esp if you keep hitting that 3 :)

ISLES - Winter? Seems weird to hear you talking about prepping for it lol .. I have spent most of this afternoon relaxing in the sun getting a lil bit of a tan for the wedding lol .. which is coming up fast .. getting rather excited :) Good on you for thinning out your things .. it is a hard thing for a lot of us .. I know I tend to hold on to things for the sake of "just in case" .. my hunny is even worse lol .. but the last few times I have done a big clean up I have been getting tougher with myself and cutting out all the unneeded things that I had been hanging onto .. and I must say its very cathartic :)

WANNASKIPANDLAUGH - WELL DONE!! What a great whoosh this week :) I can see you are gonna reach your 38.5 (original target) too :) Party party :)

MARA - Thanks ... I still have a few more things to set up in there .. but Im really pleased with my toe back in the water :) Don't stress too much about the binge .. it happens .. and it will possibly happen again .. but don't hide from it .. whats done is done ... question is .. did you enjoy it at the time? I figure if Im going to misbehave then I am darn well going to enjoy it ... I will face the consequences later .. but Im not going to waste the action regretting it or feeling guilty. Its part of the road we are on .. and its something we just have to get through :)

DOLPHIN - Good loss this week hun .. and really well done on the changes you are making. When you say prepackaged .. are you meaning like the full meals you can buy? Im not sure what is available where you are .. but for me on those "no time" nights I have packs of "steam fresh" vegetables in the freezer for my vege intake ... then I add either an egg or cheese for my protein .... or if I have time I have pre packed lots of chicken breast (to the right weight for my servings) and frozen them ... then in the morning I would have gotten out a pack and thawed it in the fridge .. because I slice the chicken breast into about 1cm slices it only takes about 5 min to dry fry them ... I will occasionally add something like Paprika or a little sour cream ... or squeeze some orange juice (or chopped up peaches) ... or if you can prep stuff the night before ... or make a bunch of frozen meals on a day off so you can pop them into the micro or something ... lots less sodium :) My sodium levels used to be quite high too .. but I have found the more "real" one ingredient food I eat the lower it has gotten :)

TURTLE - Hey if you want me to send something to you just let me know .. happy to :) You are doing really well .. right on track I think :) Only 6 to go and plenty of weeks :) So exciting!

MHILL - WOW .. well done hun .. whatever works for you is fine .. have made a note to myself for a once a month weigh in :) I do think sometime the numbers become too vital to us and we forget the long term journey ... so if weighing in less makes the journey a little easier for you .. then Im all for it :) Great job :)

ONLY BELIEVE - I don't think any trick or treaters will like our house lol .. not that its a big thing in NZ (and our Dog sign usually stops anyone coming through the gate lol) .. but I do have a few lollies .. only they are sugar free ones lol .. soooooo ... while I have a lollie for them .. its not going to add on more calories lol. I was tempted to get other ones .. but I also knew that as the wedding gets closer and the delays in the store opening etc the stress will be a little too tempting to not touch them .. so if Im going to .. its not going to be as damaging :) Good on the loss anyway though :)

ISLES - Maintaining is just as important as losing ... Just think how icky you feel when there is a + instead of a - in front of your number .. would rather definitely have a no-change than the +. I don't think its determination this time .. I have just avoided a lot of things that were triggers .. I am worried about if I get confronted by one of them .. but Im hoping by the time that happens I will have got my brain re-wired enough not to go too off the wagon ... at least this is the way I quit smoking .. Avoidance doesn't always work ... but it helps lol. Salt huh? I have the mini pack of microwave lite butter popcorn when that hits .. its only 150 calories .. and its not too high in sodium .. but it gives me that little hit when I crave it ... As for exercise .. considering you do more than I do I wouldn't worry too much lol .. I really do want to do something and have just found out my gym (which I pay for and never go to!!) has a branch almost next door to my new store!! So no excuse once it opens .. I will just have to get my butt into gear and get there earlier in the day so I can do at least a 30 min walk on the treadmill if nothing else .. slow and steady is the plan :)

SPINDERELLA - Hey .. considering you feel you did so bad over the weekend/week .. having a big ol zero is actually another positive for your week .. along with that 4 miles .. omg .. just thinking about that much is tiring lol .. I was proud of myself getting off the bus 3 stops away from home lol.

SKINNYPEACH - Well done .. another great loss and definitely on target for your Christmas goal :) Wow .. pumpkin much? lol .. cripes .. I love pumpkin soup .. and admittedly when I was meeting my family in Canada I fell in love with Pumpkin Pie (which is fortunately not really available over here lol) .. but dang lady .. you sure do have a lot of variety lol .. interested in the pumpkin pancakes .. In case you aren't aware of Pumpkin soup lol .. its a staple in our family over the winter .. soooo filling and yummy and definitely a comfort food ... simple too .. just a pumpkin (I do half boiled/steamed and the other half roasted) ... blended with a medium size potato .. add a touch of spices that you like .. and if its too thick add some water (or stock if you don't mind the sodium) .. serve hot in a bowl with a sprinkle of grated cheese and a dollop of sour cream .. mmmm .. darn .. getting hungry now lol ..

:carrot::carrot::carrot:

Wow .. what great results everyone .. lots of maintain and loss this week .. the totals are looking great :)

Well .. my wedding dress has arrived ... snuck down to my "zen" room to try it on ... as best I can on my own, can't do up the back lol .. but its the right length lol .. and it definitely fits most of me .. but I do think it will have to get taken in .. will see tomorrow I suppose :)

Had a lovely day today .. popped into my shop today to make some notes and move a few things ... then stopped on the way home to get a Pita Pit (www.pitapit.co.nz in case you don't know what it is lol). Its a big part of my diet .. I tend to have them about 4 times a week really .. and was talking to the owner about how much weight I have lost and a big part is this yummy food .. so now he wants my weight loss journey written down to take to their national conference to bring up as a great story! So chuffed :)

Then home I came to relax in the sun for a while before I came in to clean up the kitchen .. LOVE these sunny Spring days :)

Hope everyone else has a good start to their week too :)

Isles 10-29-2013 07:41 AM

Katt NOT nice to post the Pita Pit when I can't go there! I don't suppose they would deliver?

Can't wait to see your wedding dress....hey that can be our Christmas Challenge reward...seeing you in your wedding dress!!!

I love :corn:, thanks for the reminder...

It was snowing this morning...better not stick around!!!! NOT ready for that yet.

spinderella Congrats on your 4 miles :cheer:
