Well, my first week was a bit of a bust. I just got back to college, and haven't really been OP in the dining hall or in the gym...hopefully some of this is just water weight and I'll have a woosh this week!

PAM - A loss is a loss hun .. you are doing fine .. I think the steady approach is definitely the way to go .. Im a little shaky on reaching my goal too .. but will keep doing my best to get as close as I can to it :) Keep it up :)

MARA - Thanks for the update .. you are doing fine :)

GORDON GIRL - Dont stress too much .. I think we all know what its like where there is a big change in our routine to keep OP and focused while so many other things are getting settled around you. Keep making as many positive choices as you can while you are getting the externals sorted :)

WHEEZYPI - Fantastic recovery from the last couple of weeks, you must have been working hard and it shows :) Well done!! Whoot Whoot!

Didnt go to sleep until early hours of morning, but determined I wasnt going to sleep in to make up for it. So got up early to have breakfast with my hunny as he has a dinner to go to tonight so I wont see him until about 10pm tonight so it was nice to start the day together. While he was in the shower I got our breakfasts ready:
Weetbix with banana for me (I cant explain Weetbix if you dont have it where you are lol .. could always look it up on net .. regardless, high fibre lol) and a glass of OJ, made Porridge with Apple, Sultanas and Banana for my hunny. He also got an OJ and a cup of coffee :) Was lovely .. but Im feeling icky now as Im not good with food intake in the morning .. hopefully it will pass soon though.
We have Gale Force wind warnings where I am today so planning on staying home out of the weather, but will try to get my "walk" in with one of my discs. Anyone else got any plans for today??

FLOWERPETAL - So sorry I missed you before .. happy to have you on board the journey and thanks for joining us :) Do you have goal you would like to aim for in the next 3 months .. or just do as well as you can?

ISLES - Wahooo .. great perseverance for posting lol .. and lookey .. I see measurements! Go You! I find myself sighing when I see everyones bust under 50" lol .. I am aiming for that ... I suppose ideally at the end of this challenge I want to be at least one dress size smaller .. hoping for 2 though .. and that includes the "girls" .. My daughter is smaller than me .. only as the measurement .. cup size she is 2 sizes bigger lol .. so I have a broad back ... Real chuffed to see you take the measurement plunge :)

Okee ... going to go and do some reading .. I was supposed to have a salad or something for lunch ... but I was craving popcorn .. and I had a packet in the cupboard .. so into the microwave to Blast-O-Butter Jolly Time popcorn ... but I was good and weighed it out once it was popped and only had 60g of it ... boy that was still a lot and so filling!! 100 cal gone for lunch .. so not exactly as much as I should be having for lunch (should be closer to 400) but will have a snack in a couple of hours ... might need a nap too lol .. needing more than 4 hours sleep I think :)

Okee .. found another trigger to go off plan. My hunny had a work dinner tonight (I didnt go cos I dont like curry lol) .. so instead I was supposed to cook myself dinner ... but I dont like cooking for one so I skipped the meal and repeated the cereal I had for breakfast :( So no protein today .. oops .. Im feeling a little dizzy which is the only reason I even ate the cereal, but its got me thinking .. this weekend Im going to cook up a few "extra" meals and pop them in the freezer .. as much as I loathe reheated meals it would probably be a good thing for situations like this .. not that I expect it to happen for the rest of the year lol .. I would have cooked if I had more than enough for one person of my veg n everything then I would have had an extra plateful for another meal .. but only had just enough veg for a single serving ...

Still .. its something I havent had to think about before .. in the past when my hunny would have a dinner or night out with the boys (or work) I would just grab a couple of burgers or a pizza lol .. or fish n chips ... and as the chippie is like a 2 minute walk away it was tempting lol .. but ... nope.

Does anyone else have this issue when cooking for one? Or do you have an alternative meal that you can use quickly without much fuss?

Last night we had this same issue! It was karate night for the girls and I hadn't had time to cook so I bought hubs Chinese, the girls mexican and ended up going to the market and buying a bag of frozen carrots and precooked frozen chix breast and microwaved and stole some of hubs onions to mix w my chicken, was alright but i was full after

CHEERILOOS - I didnt even do that lol . I had a bowl of fruit salad when my hunny got home .. but I didnt even add on the yoghurt which I had counted in my calories. So good on you for have meat and veg .. even if it was frozen lol .. you could have made a lot worse choice :)

Still uber windy here .. but braved the day .. went to starbucks for a coffee before I caught a bus into the city to get a free style and dry with a trainee hairdresser .. was quite nice getting a free hair treatment and pamper ...

Foodwise Ive done ok so far ... had a shake for breakfast, forgot to take my almonds with me so had a sugar free lolly mid morning as I was getting a little tired .. but had a WONDERFUL Chicken Caesar from Pita Pit for lunch .. soooo filling!! Something light for dinner I think .. although not sure what .. maybe just a big fruit salad and yoghurt ... humm .. might need to be something a little more or I will miss my calories by too much again lol .. anyway .. happy about todays activities .. I also walked further than I needed to to catch the bus from city to Hutt, then when I caught the bus to home I got off 2 stops early and walked the extra distance to get a little exercise in (Love Anastasia - Im Outta Love .. great walking beat!) .. only thing is I wish I was wearing my sneakers ... those darn boots are falling apart and not good to walk distances in lol .. still happy though :)

Soooo .. didnt end up having fruit salad .. hunny bought home fish and chips .. eeeeek!!!! I was good though .. he got me crumbed fish instead of battered, but I removed the crumb (well as much as I could get off) and I only had 10 of the chips ... so I enjoyed the treat .. and funnily enough .. when we used to get FnC I used to eat 1.5 fish, 2 hot dogs, a potato fritter and a handful of fries. Now I was really happy with 2 small fillets and 10 fries ... still got intake calories to have .. so might have a small fruit salad after all lol.

I do not like cooking...basically because of the time it takes...planning, cooking, cleaning up...just too much time.:( YOU know my alternative - TUNA!!!!

I have been slacking on my positive so...for the next 4 out of 7 days I will track and log my food/drink intake. (wish I enjoyed this part more) :o

lol .. chuffed ... welll .. for me its really happy about something ... sorry .. I do try to use words that have a high chance of being known in other countries lol .. occasional new ones slip in there :)

I LOVE cooking .. unless its for me lol .. cooking for others Im happy with .. planning what the family will cook ... love prepping .. I find it a chance to relax and clear my head :) Its almost like folding laundry heheh. Cleaning up .. eh .. not so great lol .. but as long as I rinse everything off and stack it nicely it makes it easier to wash up ... I have such a strict routine for doing dishes .. OCD lol .. First its the glasses ... leave them in the sink for a few min to "soak" while I get other benches wiped down .. then wash them .. put the plates in next to soak while I dry and put away the glasses/mugs .. repeat with the cutlery .. then its like any bowls or other dishes .. then its the pots .. then the frypans lol .. that way while Im drying the next lot is soaking .. like it said .. a bit OCD but again it makes it a relaxing thing .. and I move more through the whole thing rather than washing them all and standing in one spot then moving not as much cos I grab more at a time when I am drying and putting away lol ..

Still ICK on the Tuna lol ..

I find using the Calorie Counter online it makes it way easier for me to keep track of my daily food and activity .. lets me see how many calories I still have left for my day .. but also how my nutrient intake is (like if Im high or low in something - sodium, fat , carb, protein, vitamins & minerals etc). I check in each morning to complete day before (in case I have a treat late at night and havent saved it before I went to bed lol) .. then I update it after dinner for the days intake and see how Im going ... maybe that would be a way for you to keep on track with that?

Day at home today .. so I might try to fit in some singing/recording ... started day with a Protein shake .. so feeling full again .. popped on the scale to have a peek if Im doing ok this week (halfway point lol) .. and its looking ok .. so just going to keep at it :) Gonna try my Walk Away the Pounds today too .. been bad and not done it all week other than once .. sooo will give the 2 mile a try and see how I go :)

Arggghh .. talk about sabotaging myself! I KNOW I have to eat ... I tell myself each morning what I am going to eat through the day .. and then after breakfast it all goes out of my head and I lose interest in food .. grrrr ...

Today I got up early to have some time with my hunny before he went to work .. we each had a Protein Shake and a banana for breakfast .. good start I thought .. but then after he left I got distracted and didnt think of food for the rest of the day .. when I did it was close to dinner time so I thought .. eh ... might as well wait .. but then I had another dizzy spell so thought better have something .. so I had a banana (Im gonna be a monkey by the time I reach my goal lol) ... went and got the shopping for dinner .. drooled in line at the checkout over being surrounded by chocolate and was sooooooo close to really going off the rails ... sent a text to my friend saying help! She was great sending a message "dont dot it!! think sexy dress!" lol that helped, paid for my shopping and went out the door.

Soo now Im cooking dinner and Im not interested in eating it ... will see how I do when its cooked ....
