Hello everyone and thank you for the warm welcome!

Welcome to the latest members from me too You might not believe it but it actually gives me a smile when i read your posts and see that despite all your dificulties you manage to keep on fighting to reach your goals.

dolfingirl2000 thank you for the advice but i will only feel like actually celebrating when i reach my goal weight. congrats on the 5lbs from me too !!! nice to meet another dog lover !! i just adore dogs

Rosebud It honestly does not feel like an accomplishment but thank you anyway for trying to lift my spirits.

mnemosyne I know i should be happy with my weight loss so far but the mere fact that i let myself reach 330lbs cant let me be happy about it. It only feels like im correcting some horible mistake and untill im actually somewhere around 132lbs i dont think ill have a good nights sleep.

Im currently trying out resistance running. Resistance running can vary as you increase the level of physical activity, esentially what you do is walk as fast as you can (without killing yourself) for 2-3 minutes then run for another 2-3 minutes for aprox 30-40 minutes. Due to the fact that it keeps your heart rate high all the time it burns alot more fat than keeping the same speed throughout the workout. Ive started a few days ago and plan to keep the same workout whole august to compare with my normal ones. Ill let you know if i see any significant differences!

How do you girls cope with carbs cravings?? I feel like im going CRAZY if i dont have carbs every meal (which i dont since i have insulin resistance) and i can never feel "full" without eating carbs even if i eat tons of meat and salads. Usually i eat a slice of bread or 2 with breakfast (low G.I. bread) and some times i avoid carbs altogether. Any tips on how to keep my sanity would be more than welcomed

KEYLLA ~ the problem with "FEELINGS" is they can be a bit wishy-washy at times, and sometimes they don't reflect reality at all. The truth is that losing 58 lbs IS a huge accomplishment for anyone. Your body will always crave carbs becuz it needs them to be healthy and satiated. BTW, veggies and fruit are carbs also. You can still lose weight and eat some complex carbs each day; just limit them and spread them out over the day so you won't be so hungry. Veggies, some fruit (like apples & strawberries), and complex whole grain carbs will help make you feel fuller as well.

MNEM ~ we had a huge thunderstorm here that lasted all night -- it was still raining when we got up this AM, and it was nice and cool all day. So we didn't have to water today either. Yes, DH picked drying dishes, dusting & floors (i.e. vaccuuming our livingrom rug & sweeping, etc.) as the chores he disliked the least to help around the house. He is a retired senior, so it gives him something else to do with his time as well. I told him to choose what he wanted to do becuz I figured he would likely co-operate more that way; and it has worked out well for us. He says he doesn't mind helping out with those little chores around the house since I do so much for him too. I am glad he helps out, but it really is only fair, I think.

We had baked fish, cob corn, and coleslaw for dinner tonight. I just changed what DH has a wee bit; that way we are both happy and it's not much of a bother. I either add in some fries or tators, etc for him as he doesn't like salad. It works out well. Last night I had steak with stir-fry veggies, cob corn, and salad and DH had hamburger steak and veggies with potatoes instead of corn. I just try to make sure what we have compliments each of our likes as best I can.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone ...
