Hi everyone! I am joining in on this challenge! I mentioned in other threads that I ordered my wedding dress two sizes smaller than the store wanted me to. This challenge wraps up about when my dress should be in and from having previously lost this stupid weight I know it'll fit me at 180. Sounds like my situation was crafted just for this challenge! =)

Riestrella: Thank you! Mission accomplished, I am all about the protein and veggies again, especially now I am starting with a personal trainer on Wednesday! There is almost no point in exercising if I'm eating total junk!

Hi all! Weight is down 1 pound this week to 135. Though yesterday before my "day off" I was at 129... woo 120s! Time to get back down there for real!
Daki- wow you are brave ordering a smaller wedding dress! But I can't think of better motivation, that would definitely keep me on track! Good luck! |
Hey all, Been sick with the flu so that slowed things down. Hoping to feel better by tomorrow for a nice run. Fingers crossed.

1yr2mkovr - Congrats on your NSV and scale victory!! We are so much harder on ourselves than others actually are. You're so right that we should own our imperfections! Confidence is sexier than a few extra pounds.
KTB - Hope you get out of the 180's in time for your bday. Happy Birthday Week!! Lunarsongbird - TOM hates everyone lol! But hopefully that means a whoosh next week :) Amygdala - Congrats on the great loss! Zoesmom - 0.9 is almost a pound. A loss is a loss :) Congrats! Riestrella - It sounds like those 8lbs are just water weight. You're probably still dehydrated from being sick. I just tried Zumba recently too and it really is such an awesome workout! ChickieBoom - Plateaus suck. It seems that a lot of people try calorie cycling to get over the hump. SummerKate - Yay! Only a few more months to go! School is such a pain. I'm so glad to be done! However, I no longer have my go-to excuse for why I'm not losing weight...lol MaddieB- Congrats you're so close! Daki - That is some serious motivation! Good luck with your weight loss :) Sun - Hope you get well soon! Drink lots of fluids! I had a bit of a weight loss this morning but then I had a pizza party with the kids in an after-school program I run (it was our last day before spring break). I didn't pig out but it made me feel so lethargic after I didn't get my workout in. Well, I've got my meals all prepped for the rest of the week so I just need to get my exercise groove back and hopefully I'll still be on track. Has anyone tried the BodyRock.tv videos? I've been hearing good things but they look intense! |

And now for my own personal update! Not much else to update in terms of activity, I did Zumba tonight instead of Cardio 1 from BR. I was feeling a bit lazy so decided to just have fun with Zumba and get my sweat on that way. Tomorrow is a strength day so I'm going to throw in Zumba in there too. I hope I can keep up with doubling up my workouts! But 1 workout is better than no workout I figure.
--- summerkate - I'm much better now, thanks! Hang in there with all the crazy work and entering a race is definitely an amazing motivator! Go for it! Maddie - I'm not sure what the science is behind it, but I've heard and experienced that after doing really well having one cheat day once in a while actually helps stimulate weight loss. Obviously it's not going to happen if you do it all the time, but I think you've now experienced the cheat day miracle! Congrats on being so close to your goal! I gained 8 lbs because I was sick for a week and didn't eat/drink very well. I become a bit of a zombie when I'm sick... but I've lost 4 of those lbs and hopefully still more to go! bunna - I know what you mean! I'll never forget my first Zumba class, I was beaming the entire time but sweating like crazy. That sounds like a great mix of workouts! I'm going crazy and doing Zumba every day with BR. Daki - Welcome! When's your wedding? LucyO - Awesome! Good for you! Super high five. Personal trainers, I've heard, can be amazing. Great motivators! ruby - Thanks for your input, I think you're right it probably was mostly water weight! Still trying to shake the other 4 lbs but on the right track =). I've not met someone who hasn't liked Zumba! That's what junk food does after you've been eating clean, makes you feel so sluggish! |
Riestrella - I think that's what it was, honestly. I've done it in the past when I was heavier & it usually worked. Not every time, but most of the time. And combined with cutting my calories down to 1250/day, my last bit is dropping off quickly.
1.1 more pounds & I'll hit ULTIMO, SUPREMO goal!! Really excited! AF is due Friday, so I can feel a stalemate blowing in the wind. I was hoping to be down to my goal before that because she makes me gain. We'll see. Maybe dropping my calories will be the difference this time around. The crazies will start blowing in tomorrow...lol! I always get really pissy 2 days before, & then weepy the day before, & I think "WTF is wrong with me?!" And then I realize "Oh, you are crazy - it's your period!" :) It's fun being a girl, ain't it?! |
I'm going to Zumba tonight with a bunch of girlfriends...super excited!

Tiny Tiger, yeah this better do the trick or I'm in some serious trouble! lol. It was partly pride and partly that my mother surprised me with saying she was going to buy it. I ordered it in a 16 instead of a 20 and in doing so I avoided the $200 "plus size" charge. It was already expensive enough.

Daki- you can definitely so it! I know I lost almost 20 lbs and now fit into pants I wore in the beginning of my pregnancy. I am working towards the goal of fitting back into my pre pregnant jeans and looking fit in a bikini. I was 195, now I am 175-179

Daki - Wow! That's pretty ballsy of you to order your wedding dress in a smaller size! But at least now you'll be very, very motivated to give it your all. :D Good luck, and make sure you post some pictures of you in it!
I'm not really losing much but whatever. I'm still exercising a lot and feel my body getting firmer so that's something. I'm in Flanders and as of today, it feels like spring (16 degrees Celsius today!), which means I'll be eating healthier food. In three weeks I'll be leaving for LA, and the week after that, Curaçao! The friend I'm going to Curaçao with is the same height and weight as me (though we do have different body types) so at least I won't feel like the fatty the whole time. But still I wouldn't mind toning up a bit more before I have to wear that bikini! |

hey everyone! So I am going strong! Had dance class today and ate within my calories. So happy right now! I just need to drink more water. Also I really want to go for a run tomorrow. Gotta get the exercise back up after being sick for 3 days with the flu. So happy to be getting the weight off again. Can't wait to wear a bikini! haha or a tankini. I have mommy belly
