Good morning everyone!

Bea- Glad you're feeling a bit better, and glad the ultrasound went okay.

Kawaii- Thanks! It leveled off today, but I think it's just because I drank a little too much caffeine yesterday. For some reason it tends to make me a bit hungrier. I am also on appetite control meds, mine are natural though (a derivative of tryptophan called 5-HTP). That has caused me to lose the weight at a more normal pace.
-------
So glad to have a day off today. The weather is supposed to get yucky and stormy here today, so I think I will just spend the day in and maybe go to the gym this morning and do a workout class. I haven't really worked out much since my foot injury and I think I am in good enough shape to give it a whirl. I really want to go back to my yoga classes, especially after the PiYo workouts got me in much better form for yoga.
Going to head out, have a great day all.

Namaste: it's pretty nasty this way too. Hope you had a good workout!!

Kawaii: hope your carbs are going well!!!
-------------------------

Well I went to the doctor and it feels awesome just to have some answers. I have gallstones so I have to schedule an appoint to see somebody. I also talked to her about meds and back pain. I was in an accident years ago and didn't have insurance and I didn't want to get the driver in trouble. I was dumb!! But she's got me on pain meds for that and wants me to see a physical therapist. My schedule suddenly became full!!!! Ok we'll have a good night. : )

I've had a couple of NSVs this week- love those. First of all, yesterday there were cupcakes for the taking at work... yellow cake with chocolate frosting, my favorite. And I didn't even consider taking one! I had my cucumber slices and pears and applesauce instead, and that was more than enough! I have a lot of women at work who made New Years resolutions to lose weight, which can be helpful. But one of the girls who isn't, and actually claims she's trying to put on weight, laughed and said something about, "All you guys trying to eat healthy..." as she chowed on a cupcake and 4 slices of pizza. I kind of just laughed it off and continued on with my food! Second, I've stayed away from the vending machine. Sweets are my weakness, so I used to get a candy bar from the machine at least once a week. Even the last time I (half-heartedly) tried losing weight, I would get one, add it to my calories for the day, and then feel unsatisfied or over-eat later in the day because I wasted 300 calories on sugary crap that didn't keep me full. Not this time! I did have a fun-sized Reeses over the weekend and realized it's already too sickly sweet. I have no problem with a fun-sized candy if it fits into my day and I'm really craving it, but it's awesome when I realize that it isn't something I really want or have to have very often!

Lots of good advice about the dress. I still have time to figure it out! I don't think I'll get alterations regardless, because the dress is already outside of my budget, so that buys me a little extra time.

----

bea- So sorry about the gallstones but HOORAY for having answers! I hope the medication and PT helps with your pain, too. I'm (thankfully) not sick with the stomach flu and gf is all better- hoping it stays that way!

namaste- I hope your work-outs went well today and they weren't too much for your foot!

Kawaii- Oh, I totally agree about not knowing if I'll fall off the wagon or what size I'll be come October. You weren't being a party pooper at all. Those thoughts were already in my head! Let's just hope they don't come true!

penmage- Ugh, plateaus really are the worst. I hope you see the end of yours very soon. Have you tried upping your calories for a day or two? Sometimes that helps when the scale doesn't budge, as you most likely already know!

namaste: I see! hmm... i don't have too much trouble with my appetite though so those pills would be NG for me when i binge usually, i'm not even hungry! lol. have fun on your day off, and good luck with the gym!

bea: i dunno what gallstones are... but i hope you getting some info about it means that you're on the road to doing better!! and i think i'm doing ok with my carbs i think it'll take a little while to see if i can still lose weight while eating them or not at all...

kaelah: eheh, well i just didn't wanna come off as rude! that's really great about those little nsv's and your awesome willpower!!! and it's so true that eating healthy foods will make you much fuller than eating sugary crap. gives you more energy too!! when i was eating badly before, i would get some sweet snack at the convenience store on my way home, eat it, and then pass out. lol. now i'm never tired enough to just fall asleep after getting home from work! which is really awesome

Hey guys! it's Thursday here for me but feels like Friday cuz i only had a half-day of work and tomorrow I got the day off! woot! and i got big plans with loverboy he just had his last test so we're celebrating the end of his semester (it ends in Jan, in Japan, then new semester starts in April).

SO! anyways... I JUST FINISHED THE 30 DAY SHRED!!!!!!!!!

i am so freakin proud of myself

Kawaii- Way to go! You done good with the 30DS, I may have to try it out myself. Yeah appetite control meds aren't for everyone, I was kind of cynical about them myself but ended up taking 5-HTP for depression, and then the weight started flying off as well. I thought it wasn't a bad deal!

Kaelah- Way to go on the NSV! Yeah, I can't eat sweet stuff often either, I have tried and it ends up being waaay too rich for me.

Bea- That's a bummer. Good luck finding answers for your gallstones, but I'm glad you solved the issues with your back. Back pain is no fun, especially when it's chronic. I got into a similar accident several years back and I was SO glad when it healed up.

--------
I got past the 226 curse today and weighed in at 225.2. That means I've lost all the holiday weight and then some. I'm so happy, that's a 6-lb loss for the month. I also got my tests back and they were both As. So far, so good. I'm a little nervous about the philosophy class though, we haven't had an exam yet so we'll see how that goes.

I got my nails done again yesterday, at a different place since my gift certificate from my fiancé's mom ran out at the other place. They look fantastic! I'm much happier with this place than I was with the other one I went to.

I get to meet up with my fiancé for lunch today (I have another few days off since I only go to school two days a week) and then I am going to Arkansas for a funeral. Then while we're there, since we're close to Branson, we will eat dinner in Branson and maybe do something fun to lift the mood.

Well, that's all I have to report. Have a great day all.

Hi all I’m new.

I recently went through a pretty stressful time in life and gained SO MUCH WEIGHT! I don’t know exactly how much because, frankly, I’ve been avoiding the scale like the plague.

I do know, however, that all of my jeans are too tight (even my fat jeans), and my double chin has grown. And I have a hard time saying no to junk food and beer, even if I decided just that morning to swear the stuff off for good.

So anyway, here I am. Ready to give an receive support, bc this ish is hard.

xo, peach

Good for you for resisting those cupcakes! and as for your coworker, that's not too nice of her

Yay, -6 lb a month is a job well done! What color/style did you do your nails?

Peach- You're very welcome!

Kisskiss- Thanks! I was pleasantly surprised at this month's weight loss. I did my nails in a French manicure this time, with round edges. My last nail tech did square nails with neon yellow polish, but I decided that was a little much, lol.

-----
I got my hair done and met my fiancé for lunch today. We were going to go to a healthier restaurant but we had a kerfuffle with our plans and ended up going to a less-healthier one with a three course meal even for lunch. Thankfully though, I had a lot of it to take home! So I'll be eating happy for a few days at least.

Here's a picture of my hair, finally at its natural color. Forgive my slightly round face...

Well, that's it for now. Have a great day all.
