Man oh man! Weekend of camping and beer... I might be gone for a week or 2!

UrthWurm 07-07-2011 04:15 PM

I decided to join you ladies for some support through the 150's & 140's! This is around where I stalled a few months back and gave up; I could really use the motivation of my fellow 20-somethings to break through! :cheer2:

philana 07-07-2011 04:36 PM

I was under 150bs 3 months ago for a week, but other than that I havent been in about a year I think. So, I'm joining you guys! I hope to get under it asap, but before the month is over for sure. ;)

this is where I’ve stalled too. Motivated to get all the way down to goal this time around! we can support each other :)

philana, welcome!!

shasha12 07-10-2011 05:45 PM

elizabeth, that is so exciting ;) love it when people notice how good we look, huh!!

I must admit, I had a bad start to the week, what with the 4th of July’s beer-o-rama... I weighed in at 159.6 tuesday morning! That’s 5 extra pounds of water weight! It usually takes me forever to get rid of water weight, but I’ve busted my A this week, and as of today I’m back to normal :) Aaaand, even better, I’m energized to get myself on track and really shed these 20+ lbs that are plaguing my existence. yay

this thread is dead, where is everyone?

elizabethyellow 07-11-2011 05:34 PM

Yeah this thread really is dead :/ I am at 154.4 as of this morning (but that was after pizza for dinner so let's hope it doesn't stick). I think this, and the challenge board I am in, should definitely be my priorties! Let's get this back up and running ladies!

philana 07-12-2011 07:11 AM

elizabethyellow - i feel the same! it's gonne be forever untill I'm gone here, so might as well make it comfy!

I'm doing everything I am suppose to be doing - but the weight isn't dropping yet. I'm told to be patient. So I will. For now. Gym tonight, so looking forward to that after my mandatory day of rest!

popspry 07-12-2011 07:27 AM

I am really stuck. I've been losing the same 2-3 pounds for weeks. I was doing better till last week, than my period came and I bloated (I never bloat during my period) and I'm back where I started. I can't seem to get below 152.8 no matter how hard I try. I started at 190 and the 150's have been by far a nightmare for me. I wonder if I will ever get below 152 (20% weight loss). So I'm recommitting today even when things on the scale suck.

154.6 today.

luciddepths 07-12-2011 08:19 AM

Phew... back down to 156! hahaa

luciddepths 07-12-2011 08:21 AM

Dont worry guy's we will all get there!!! It may just take a bit of time! One thing i've found is even though the scale says it isnt moving, the inches are moving. So that might be something you will want to keep track of too, because it turns out it really isnt that you're stuck. Its just you're body is adjusting!! :)

elizabethyellow 07-12-2011 11:07 AM

Weighed in at 154.6 this morning- and I too seem to not be able to get past 152.8. What is this 150s curse!!

mayness 07-12-2011 11:41 AM

Yesterday and today I weighed 139.6, but I'm waiting to make sure I'm REALLY out of the 140's. I'm sure I'll jump back up over it at some point just because the scale likes to make me mad.

shasha12 07-12-2011 12:33 PM

yay!! life in this thread!

Girls, we can’t let ourselves believe it’s a curse!! Mental toughness! I’ve been stalled in the 150s for a freaking year. I finally reassessed my eating habits and decided I was never as “on plan” as I convinced myself I was. Too many cheats that I figured my exercise would make up for...

Since my giant aha moment, I’ve upped exercise and gotten strict with my calorie counting. This WILL happen, because I will MAKE it happen.

philana 07-12-2011 03:37 PM

mayness - congrats! that's great!

good mindset sasha! and it's always good to be honest with yourself!

I went to the gym again, ate great but only 1000 calories. Oh well, hopefully it kickstarts something inside my body. My metabolism needs to wake up.
----

Edit: Well, when I woke up this morning there was 2.2 lbs gone! So, officially I'm out of the 150's cus I'm at 149.9 - but I'll stick to 150 for now!

lisa130 07-13-2011 12:32 PM

i do hate being stuck in a plateau - mine has been between 144-150 for over a year now too! Time to reassess - It gets discouraging being stuck where you don't want to be!
