Will someone please high-five me for a nsv?
So my lunch was extremely disappointing. I usually bring a lean cuisine for lunch at work 3-4 times per week, and today tried a new flavor (garlic chicken or something like that). Ugh - very very nasty. I ate most of it anyway, knowing that it would have to hold me over through my workout this afternoon and until dinner but I was still not satisfied. I reasoned with myself that I really, really wanted chocolate covered pretzels from the cafeteria. I got my credit card and walked downstairs. However - they did not have them stocked and I got fresh pineapple slices instead! Now I'm satisfied AND still OP for the rest of the day! :D People taking finals Hang in there! Exams blow. It has not been that long since I, too, pulled all-nighters with mid-night snacks. Just remember: you don't need to be stressed about gaining weight at the same time you're stressed about your grades! |
whats nsv? and op for that matter lol. i know op is good, i've kind of replaced it with staying 'on track' but i'm not sure what it means exactly. yes... i'm new
but ohhhh chocolate covered pretzels are EVIL! good job on the pineapple i just weighed myself and i've lost already. i must have been retaining water because i just weighed 4 pounds less. what?! =) |
ooooh, congrats on the 4lb loss!!! wow, that's huge!
nsv: non-scale victory op: on plan (i think) |
-high five- macky! Awesome job on the non-scale victory ^__^ and congrats on breaking the 2lbs!
And thanks for all the happy birthday's! I am now a proud member of a GYM with an indoor pool, as of today! omg! They also have a hot tub. fun fun. Now, I just need to get a swim suit LOL ugh, I so do not want to wear a swimsuit!!! I usually will go swimming wearing shorts and a tank top haha. Tomorrow morning I'm going in to get a fitness assessment . . . Honestly, 3 months ago I would not of dreamed of joining a gym and having a fitness assessment done just because it would have been depressing, but I am so excited now. Star2Be - I just told everyone that I didn't want any cake, candy, or to go out to eat at an unhealthy place. I ate at mcalisters with my mom and drank a little with my bf later in the evening, so it wasn't too hard to stay within my calorie limit, and I like it that way! IcassiopeiaI - That sucks that you haven't been able to work out for a week. When I take even a few days off I have a hard time getting back into routine. I'm thinking of doing the couch to 5k too, now that I have a gym membership :D Loraloo - It sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Think of your workout time as YOU TIME. A time for you to release the stresses of life and go into your own world where the burn feels GOOD. Good luck with your weigh-in! UglyFatFriend - I think a lot of us have had days where we get some fast food. It doesn't have to affect your efforts as long as you work hard to make up for it and don't do it all the time! I'm sure you wont since your tastes have changed so much. Stephanie Osborne - I bet you looked CUTE today! |
ahh non scale victory. totally makes sense.
heather- congrats on the gym membership. i never got my fitness assessment for the same reasons- i didnt want to KNOW and thanks for the kind words but honestly- those 4 pounds cant be real. it must be water weight. i wont be able to work out for the rest of the week. i'll ask my mom to bring my small weights home from work so i can do some arm curls and some crunches. i'm an absolute terrible healer and the stress doesnt help. i just hope i dont gain any weight during this week and i completely agree about thinking of the gym as something fun and for you. for everyone, i kick so much more *** when i go in there and just gogogogogo for ME. when i come home i'm tired but feel GREAT. good luck everyone! |
So i had my weigh in today, and i was down 1 lb so that was better than going up like i thought i would!!!
|
Way to go, UglyFatFriend!
|
IcassiopeiaI - My mom, who is THINNER than I am, is scared to get her's. She said she is going to wait and see how mine goes. I guess if I don't come out crying she will make an appointment for one lol.
|
macky - Thats awesome I am so proud of you girl! Trading pineapple slices for choc pretzels can be so hard! Way to go...
cass - 4 lbs less that is awesome. I envy you lol I am stalled hoping for a 1 lb loss next week. You'll be healed soon enough then back kicking butt at the gym huh? heather - USe that gym membership girly! I am so happy for you. This is just the beginning I have a feeling you have everything you need for success! UFF - Congrats on the loss! As for me... OP last night and under my calorie limit. Went to the gym and ran on the track instead of the treadmill which is sooooo much harder for me (though I dont know why). Ran intervals of walk/run and seriously winded myself over and over again. Its funny I am so competitive. There were two girls there also running laps and I refused to ever let them pass me. Ended up running waaaaay to fast just to make sure it never happened lol. Felt great though. Its funny my legs just felt comfortable when I started running, my body and my mind had been missing it. I need to remember to keep it a priority in my life. Today I am just working, then making a las vegas cake for my mother in laws birthday tonight. Of course going to the gym... I am going to be out of town for work on Saturday and Sunday so I need to start getting my affairs in order and make sure to spend lots of time with the hubby. |
UglyFatFriend - Good job on the loss :]
Steph - I'll definitely be using my membership. My mom and I might be going to swim laps this evening. Welp, I got my fitness assessment over with. I really like the trainer that was testing me. Girls, how do you convince yourself to start exercising? I just can't seem to do it. I want to lose inches this month. I really do. |
i just think about losing the inches, or try on a pair of pants that are too small! That really helps me!
