oh god, is this the thread for me or what.... hah

recently, i've been feeling. well nothing. no motivation. no focus. nothing. and i've been slipping.

for a while there, i was really doing well. full force, gung ho. nothing could stop me. and then over the past 4 weeks or so, i've just been losing sight of my goals. i didn't even notice it, honestly.

but i do now. so here i am.

i'm elizabeth, i live in montreal, i'm 26, and i am recommitting myself to losing the rest of this weight and meeting my goals. i dont care how long it takes me.

i leave for florida in 2 days with the bf to stay with my grandparents for a week. i plan to find my lost motivation while on vacation. i heard recently a change in environment in a great way to break a habit. so i plan to break my habit of poor food choices while on vacation.

i can do this!!

It is definitely hard to start over on vacation.. That's usually when I slip up. But, you'll be okay. Just stay busy and have lots of fun!

Well, here goes.
I'm Tami, 21, live in Wisconsin(yes it's -30 here today! BUR?) My longterm goal is to lose 100 pounds from my starting weight, which was 260. I'm currently at 240. I've lost that simply by working and being more active than ever before, but working alone isn't going to get all of my weight off, so I've joined the gym with a co worker and friend. We go to our first session tomorrow morning after work(I work 3rd shift) I'm pretty pumped up about it. I have no specific weight loss goal for December, as December is almost over, but I do have the goal of joining the gym, and learning to use the equipment, and going to the gym 3 times a week for the remainder of the month of December. If I see pounds gone, awesome! If not, I'll still be a success for meeting my goal of heading to the gym. Along with my exercise, I'm eating healthier, and making better decisions, and making more conscious decisions about what I eat......So, that's me!

Good morning ladies! I am still debating what I want to eat for breakfast....I finally started my TOM last night so i am sure that my weigh in will not be as good as I would like this week. Hopefully next week I will show a large loss I can dream right. I have been pretty good except for the fact that I had a couple of drinks last night at home to relax. I need to get up off of my butt and work out today....but just looking at all the snow outside bums me out!! Lets hope I make today worth it

Hello there..
I'm sorta a newbie. I've been on 3FC for a while.. but never entered the 20-somethings area. And I'm recomitting..
anyho... My name is Brittany, I'm in Buffalo NY, I'm 21, 22 in February. I started at 190 in 2006. I'm down to 158 right now. My goal is 140... My goal for December is to get under 155. Shouldn't be too hard of a challenge. We'll see though.

Paula- I'm always up for a challenge

Stella- It sounds like you'll do great.

Pinkwhisper- you are making some great steps. Exercising always makes me want to eat healthy and gives me more energy. I rotate shifts day/night. So, I know how it is to need energy. It's great that you have someone to go with you to the gym. Good luck!

So i went to the gym 4x last week! and I went today and my boyfriend and I plan on going tuesday-friday in the mornings before we go to work! It's great to have him go with me, cuz when I try to by myself I would rather just stay asleep in bed and not get up. So that part is good, I'm just focusing on the cardio for the next week and plan on to add weights in another week or two. I just want to get in the habit of going!

The bad part is I've eatin out of control the last week. So I doubt I lost anything and didn't weigh myself this week. Too much fast food, too much eating out and it was our anniversary on Sat so I drank way too much wine! The only good thing is that I have been religously loggin my food intake (and exercise!) at TDP and I hope one of these days I will be able to keep my calories at or at least near goal. I trying to get motivated to eat better and not blame my crazy eating on "the shot". But it just seems so much harder to not eat everything I want know that I'm on the shot. But I can't make excuses I need to just get focused and plan and stick to eating better!

So this week my goal is to eat better.

Well, I finally got my husband to join me in dieting. It really helps to have someone pushing you. It's a team effort now. This site really helps too.

I went grocery shopping today and bought a ton of healthy food and got rid of all the junk in my cabinets. I can't deal with the temptation. So, I'm just starting the diet and it seems like the first few days are always the hardest. I think I just have to look at it as more of a lifestyle change than a diet.

What are everyone's goal to lose this month??
I'm hoping to lose ten, but I'd be happy with 6-7.

I was just looking back at one of my old posts. I lost the ten pounds I wanted to lose!!!! and the month is only half over!

Neesy: Awesome job making your goal, way ahead of time too! That always feels better than even making the goal!! How is the hubby doing? It is really nice to have that extra support!

Sunflower: Its a good idea to have the bf going too, because you can help each other be motivated to keep going each of those mornings! Keep it up!!
-and we all slip up, its the fact that you kept on your exercise and still counted the calories, you were still accounting for what you took in. And hey, it was your anniversary!! Enjoy it!!

as for me: It was a terrible first day, my screw up though was when the DH ordered me a donut with my coffee. And one the highest calorie content ones.. but I ate it because I was eating those before, and today was the first day so he hadn't remembered... I looked up some better alternatives if I get the crave to have something when we go to Tim Horton's other than a coffee with 1 cream. A bowl of soup would've been more filling and less calories!!!!!!
Other than that, I packed our lunch for work (tuna sandwiches, some homemade soup packed with carrots, beans, peas and some potatos, low sodium broth with some spices.mmmm mmm good) and a couple hershey kisses and a small york peppermint patty.. for a treat... It went well!
