Breakfast is always hard. I usually eat a granola bar on my way to work. I work 12hrs, I don't eat anything while I'm at work, then when I get off I eat a big meal and go to sleep. So, I really only eat one meal a day. Which has gotten me into the mess I'm in.

So, now... I've started eating some fruit in the morning. Then, I take a turkey sandwich to work, and eat a small meal once I get home.

Fruit is always good. It makes me think I'm cheating by eating something sweet. But ofcourse, everything in moderation...

I have oatmeal too! Or cereal. Or eggs? I guess I'm not really a creature of habit, but I do keep my breakfast calories under 300. I always sprinkle a tablespoon of hemp hearts onto my breakfast - it has so much protein and healthy fats that it helps to keep me full for a loonnng time. I am not sure if any of you will have heard of hemp hearts as they are pretty 'crunchy granola' but they are delicious! They are shelled hemp seeds (... and no, they don't make you high!) and taste a little like nutty, soft sunflower seeds though much smaller.

You know what's good? The night before or even a week, plan! Maybe buy some bars, or have a "weight watchers" breakfast handy (obviously doesn't have to be weight watchers, just an example) half a bagel maybe? Something you can grab while you run out the door even! Maybe get some fruit? Bananas, apples, oranges, have you ever tried taking plain cereal and adding some banana slices?

the thing is i spend most of my morning driving to work, then when i get there im the boss so i have to do a morning brief to the staff then have heaps of phone calls and conference calls.

i get hungry in the car. i sometimes have a slim fast shake or just drink my tea in a flask then grab nuts and a piece of fruit when i arrive.

tomorrow i might try to make some toast and eat it in the car with an apple or something?

Not good. Day 1 of being recommitted and I am already trying to find an excuse not to exercise. I has a bad, Bad, BAD, BAD day at work and am just so ready not to go back. But, I shall find the motivation eventually!

Sure! I used to do that, grab a banana and get in the car for work. As long as it's some what healthy (grain or wheat bread is best) toast should be ok, just no heaping piles of butter! You'd be surprised how much people in my family think they need butter

Heather I know how you feel. I come home from work crying at times, I hate working there -so- much. I can't give up on myself though, I won't give up on you either!! You can do it, we can both find the motivation to get up and exercise. I'm going to start right now, you should too!

I love good whole wheat bread, english muffins etc. White bread always seems gummy to me. Rice I can go either way. The problem with that though is my husband can not make brown rice at all. I don't know what he does but it is awful so he sticks with white.
