Okay, I whipped up a quick little Excel chart to help me track numbers through the next four weeks. I'm going to need everyone to weigh in tomorrow morning with their challenge starting weight and their final goal weight.
I'm going to use our screen names in the chart. If anyone would like to see it, you can ask me for it at any time.
That's not a bad idea. I don't want anyone to get terribly carried away trying to be proclaimed TBL, though. We all want to remain within healthy expectations. Anyone have any other ideas?
Hi guys!!! Sorry I haven't been around all weekend. I went away to Chicago this weekend with a friend of mine and had a great time. We did a TON of walking, a bunch of shopping (mostly window shopping, but I did make some purchases) and we even got to see Wicked and meet some of the cast members afterwards. I had never seen Wicked before and it was phenomenal
I guess I'll introduce myself some to everyone. My name is Michele and I am 29 years old. I teach high school kids with learning disabilities and absolutely adore the kids I work with. They make me feel special and make me feel like I am actually making a difference in someone else's life. And most importantly, the kids are great and I laugh every single day. Although the job is wicked stressful, that one fact keeps me going everyday.
I am a huge fan of figure skating and travel a lot to see figure skating competitions and shows with a group of friends who I met through the skating interest. I love Canada and go there more times than I probably should I swear I am on a first name basis with the border guards in Quebec.
I live in the Boston area and teach at the same high school that I graduated from. I still live at home with my parents, but they have a better social life than I do....so most times, it's like i have the place to myself Work takes up a bunch of time, but I also love reading, music, and killing time on the internet. I have an older brother and a younger sister and two nieces and a nephew (3 years, 1 year, 4 months). They are so freaking cute and I love them to bits. Unfortunately, they live in different states, so I don't get to see them as much as I would like to.
Umm, that's about it. I'm excited about the Biggest Loser challenge and seeing what our team can accomplish. GO PINK!!!
okay, pink team--i've got to apologize in advance. i was all psyched saturday morning about being in the 180s finally, but after a pretty rough weekend diet-wise (it was my dad and my grandmother's birthdays, so i ate what they wanted all weekend), i was actually back up to 191 this morning. i won't be able to weigh in tomorrow morning, because i've got class pretty early, so i guess we'll just have to take the 191 as my initial weigh in.
but i have big plans for this challenge. exercise has never been my problem; i even kind of like exercising. tonight i plan on going to buy my very own scale for my apartment (yay morning weighing! hah) and the 30 day shred. my exercise plan for this challenge is sun, tues & thurs: starting the c25k program and mon, wed & hopefully fri: doing the 30 day shred. i have a bad tendency to take all weekend off, so don't be too terribly surprised if i don't 30 day shred it every friday.
the food part is going to be what's challenging for me...i want to start REALLY counting calories and journaling them. i've been VERY loosely journaling and counting, but i hope to make it a habit in the course of this challenge.
sooo, here we are. i'm ready to start. my starting weight is 191. my end goal weight is 150. leigh, i see you being a good leader already! spreadsheets, even -- color me impressed!!
If you are really serious about counting calories, (it has changed my lifestyle tremendously and I hope in the long run it will pay off), you should use fitday.com. After using it for a week, you'll be hooked. It's easy to count calories, track exercise, show calories burned vs. calories eaten, track body measurements, fat intake, etc...
My plan for this is to continue what I am doing but to do it even better!
Which is, counting calories using fitday. I too, aml, was proud of being under 120 - even posted about it in the minigoal section and then gained back up to 121. So I want to decrease my calories (1600-1800 currently) and try to aim for (1400-1500). and I need to increase my exercise. I also do 30 day shred- I love it. I only like level 1 and 3 though. I skip level 2. I hope to do this monday, tuesday, wed, thursday and friday in addition to a 10 minute ab workout or a brisk walk or something... if anyone else has any ideas let me know.
i tried fitday, and i tried thedailyplate. i don't know what it is, but i definitely like thedailyplate better. i think it's because it has more of the weird off-brand foods i buy, so i feel like i'm getting a more accurate measure. but yeah, they basically do the same thing, so i'm going to try to keep doing that.
Good Morning Pink!!! I did my dreaded weigh-in this morning on my handy dandy WII Fit, and I am 241.5. My overall goal is 135 so I have a ways to go...but better late than never right? I am 25 and ready to get it gone!! I will be doing the WII Fit this week, as well as riding the exercise bike, and when I can get away from work at lunch I will go walking. I am starting to use fitday.com this morning and my target calories are 1800. Is there anything else you think I should be doin? HAPPY MONDAY TO ALL!! :-)

oh, this is exciting! i even wrote all my plan and goals down in the planner - that's how you know it's set in stone.
when i went to buy the 30ds and a scale last night, i couldn't find the 30ds so i've got to go back and look for it after work tonight. but as of this morning, my start weight was still 191, so we're good to go! let's get losing!!
Hey Team! Just wanted to do a mid day check in to see how everyone is. I am doing so well on my calories today...I am at 570 with breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks. My obsticle is here at work right now...I am sitting at my desk this morning and my boss walks in holding 8...yes 8 pies!! We are a company of 30 people...now the pies are sitting in the kitchen. I am water water water right now, and staying out of the kitchen! How is everyone else doin today?
